  1. Yeah if you have them there ready to go, that'd be great. This will definitely have to be built! Thanks!
  2. This is awesome!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for one-upping the terrible vehicle that comes in the new set. I've been looking at bricklink trying to figure out what I needed to make an 80's Turtle Van, but this is perfect. Also, how would someone acquire those stickers???
  3. It's OK I guess. The same level as the EN? Not even close. I am actually really surprised at the excitement over this one. The great thing about the Emerald Night is that many, many people look at it on my shelf and don't at first believe it's LEGO. It is such a great recreation that I actually have to take it apart sometimes to show people. The Maersk is another great loco that gets similar comments but I would look at someone sideways if they thought the Horizon Express was anything but LEGO. That being said, I do appreciate the building techniques applied to the train and I think it's a great set to teach advanced building.
  4. So incredibly awesome! As a turboprop pilot (PW PT6) and not an engineer I could never have built that so well but at least I can appreciate it! Job well done!!!
  5. 16. Sid Sidious - 2 18. L@go - 2 20. DarthNick - 1
  6. 21. domino - 2 27. Myko - 3
  7. 7. Kit Fisto - 1 10. CarsonBrick - 2 15. lightningtiger - 2
  8. I've got that right now. We're in the process of moving and everything is boxed. Money is tight. Thank you Eurobricks for keeping me sane!!!
  9. Love the front doors! Very cool.
  10. Favoring originality is childish? I don't think so. That really doesn't even make sense. I'll jump all over the BTTF DeLorean if it's made but I don't like the others and that's like my opinion man.
  11. Totally agree. I would love to see the Fire Train make it too.
  12. That is interesting. I went through the same process modding my firehouse after backing through the back doors with my new fire truck. Nice little truck by the way.
  13. Really this is genius. Fire trucks and trains combined into one awesome set. Kids would be all over this! Supported on CUUSOO, but it's too bad all the license sets get the attention, hopefully someone at LEGO is looking.
  14. Funny this question comes up just as I grab my old 7722 Steam Locomotive from my parents house 3700 miles away. I rebuilt it and it is sitting next to my Emerald Night with 2 9V motors. In the instruction book (at the back) are directions to add a 12V motor (7865). I'm thinking it should be easy to drop a 9V in there instead, however I'd hate to loose the red wheel parts. A red 9V decorative side would be great but I know I'm dreaming. I still love the look of it though!!! I would love to see some pictures of updated 4.5's!
  15. It's all personal choice obviously, but my airline pilot vote has to go to the former Aloha Airline's Funbirds... I LOVED seeing these planes. The flowers might be difficult to make into stickers - I'm not sure, I've never made stickers. Aloha nui loa, Aloha Airlines
  16. My wife got the Hogwarts castle for $60 at Kmart. It was selling for $150 before clearance. She was excited enough to let me buy a new X-Wing!!! Good day!
  17. I had the same problem. I ordered my copper online from http://www.rockymountainglasscrafts.com/ but it looks like they might not be taking orders right now. I've only seen it online but I remember reading Hobby Lobby might have it if you have one of those stores around. Good luck.
  18. I use copper tape on all but 2 of my PF tracks. It works well at first (a year ago) but the corrosion is making things difficult. also, the copper tape wants to lift from the track so I have to press it down again. I wouldn't use copper next time, I would use ME Model's track. Copper tracks would be a more suitable temporary situation. disclaimer: I live in the middle of the Pacific Ocean so your mileage may vary.
  19. I can completely relate. I had almost the exact same experience: drooling over it, never getting it, going to college and coming back to LEGO.... except I've never gotten it. I'm glad you have though, it gives me hope!
  20. I'd love a shed. Seems like a nice space to be able to set everything up just the way I'd like. Whaaaa???????????? Use ChapStick? Khnum? Apshai? Nope. I'm too thick, still don't get it!!
  21. Supported. I love this! I would love a custom Scrabble layout!
  22. I made one for the Christmas train contest (that I see you participated in). I like yours a lot better. I'll have to clean out the pine needles in mine and re do it. Nice job!
  23. Fun topic! I'm not sure how I missed this. Anyway, I was pretty rough on toys back in the day. I had lots of G.I. Joes that ended up being shot at by bb guns or having their fortress bombed by firecrackers. When I got my first Lego train set however, I was very careful with it and didn't allow my friends to play with it. Over the years, regrettably, I had forgotten about Lego until recently when the Emerald Night came out. I am hoping most of the pieces are at my parents house and someday I will have to make the trip over there to dig around for old 7722. My first set, 7722 from Christmas 1985ish? My revival set, 10194 Lego Store Christmas sale 25 years later. Amazing how they've changed. I was instantly hooked!
  24. I've never been called an artist, but I believe Lego is an artistic medium. Some may dislike or like any art form based on tastes. The creator had an idea in his head and brought it to life through Lego, and did a great job. Also, I like the back of your Fire Brigade, I might have to steal a few ideas from you...
