  1. "So we have some Agave over there, but now Mordo, what is all the green on this side?" "Glad you asked Joe, but don't dare you talk about the giant hair right next to you. That is none of the snakes you should care about on this dry rear-end of the Brick Seas. Anyway... Stevia! This other plant is called stevia, and we now have a small plantation of it." "Nice to warn me about snakes only now Mordo. Don't you have one of those handy machetes for me somewhere?" "Sheesh Joe, you are such a crybaby. But if you insist: there should be one in the hut between the plantations, where we will store the first harvest to take samples and further inspect them. Now everything we have to do is wait for the results. I can not wait to see Lady Mesabis face when we successfully found this ominous sweetest fruit!" "You mean IF?" "Sheesh Joe..." =========================================================================================================== This is the second of two 32x32 builds - i.e. two small plantations - with a small "connection build". This one is a small Stevia plantation, also to be licensed in Mesabi Landing. Here are two more shots of the build:
  2. "Mornin' Mordo, since when do we run around like posh Eslandians? What is wrong with the good ol' red?" "Sheesh Joe, what a friendly greeting again. There is no law stating I have to wear red 24/7, and you know it! Now if we could get back to business: as you can see we have two new plantations up and running." "Two? Why is that? I have never seen these plants anyway. Mordo, what is this craziness?" "Sheesh Joe, you are quite the buzzkill. Remember when Lady Mesabi went after that rumoured super-sweet plant? She did not find it, and is now occupied with something else. Some red flowers or so, you know the ladies. Anyway, I decided to do it the Corlander way instead, by trial and error. So we now have these two plantations, a big experiment so to speak. Here on the right we have a field of the so-called Agave." "As you can see, not exactly a small plant!" "We will harvest them soon, and will test their sweetness. A comparison with the plant from over there will show us whether the rumours are true at all, and which plant is the one in question." =========================================================================================================== This is the first of two 32x32 builds - i.e. two small plantations - with a small "connection build". This one is a small Agave plantation, the other one can be found here. Both will be licensed in Mesabi Landing. One of them has to be this rumoured "sweetest fruit", and I will find out which one it is! If you are interested in the Agave build, I have made a few "build instruction" pictures:
  3. Stunning build, I love it! My favourite part is the front, but the greenhouse is excellent as well. Those patients in treament are hilarious! I think the "connection" to the Octoberfest is quite a stretch, but it is a great addition to Weelond!
  4. I have a question regarding plantations and their sometimes higher yields. It is known that certain plantations generate a higher income, given that the right plant is grown at the right location. How do I get confirmation on the specific "high yield crop" though? Say I guess it could be either plant A or B, and I build and license one plantation for each. When and how will I get told whether A or B is "the one"?
  5. A really well crafted introduction @Lazer ! I love how your character is driven by the will to discover - quite similar to mine.
  6. Having a secondary (thirdary, fourthary, whatevery) character in another faction is a No-No, aye?
  7. Indeed, give us the drama. The mischievous Count does not deliver this time! Boo!
  8. Strong entries so far! I will have at least one up before the deadline, but Lego seems to hate me. I have some PaB parts in the mail (ordered on the 13th!), without I will not be able to get my other two ideas done. If the package does not arrive tomorrow I might have t beg for a deadline extension - who is to be bribed here?
  9. Let me rephrase it then: it would be great to have more than one active wildcard.
  10. Something I just noticed now: the grey stairs from... the 90ies? I remember that part from my very first pirate kits 25 years ago. Nice use, and lovely to get reminded of the good old times.
  11. True. Currently it feels a bit like a 3-faction game, with a fourth player sitting at the sideline.
  12. Welcome aboard! Always good to see new faces around. And those greedy Eslandoodlians need all the help they can get.
  13. By my count about one in seven ships sank. That seems a bit excessive to me, but to be fair I do neither know the rules applied nor what scenarios those ships were in.
  14. Sheesh, a ships life seems to be short.
  15. Am I mistaken or are the Sea Rats basically "dead in the water" at the moment?
  16. Sounds like I am forked when it comes to warships then - I have maybe a dozen cannons, in terms of firepower that does not even show up on the radar of "proper" ships. While we are at it: what is a reasonable level of cannons for a medium sized trading ship (about 50x20 studs in footprint)?
  17. Ooooh, shiny! I envy you for all those dark red masonry bricks!
  18. So far she looks like a military hispital ship. The colours, that red cross tile...
  19. Next round in "Drunknok Da Noob Today": what are PIPs, what are they good for, are they important?
  20. They range from white to red, with some varieties in the pinks and purples. I do not know about the US, but here they are usually associated with fields of red.
  21. Is there a "time limit" on licensing builds? Say, I build something now, post pictures and a story tomorrow, but only license it in... February 2018. Yay? Nay?
  22. Very nice microbuild, very nice indeed! The use of golden microfigs is a bit weird, but maybe Oleon has a group of C-3PO descendants. Who knows.
  23. Thank you, understood.
  24. Thanks for the quick response (same for @Mesabi ) and that link, but I am afraid I still have no clue how that works.
  25. Thanks for the input on the lighthouse question. I think I will let the lighthouse operator have a "second job" of repairing fisher nets, thus strengthening the artisan approach. If I want to take up a loan for my account - the money to be used on my main character as well as my side characters for builds all over the New World - how would that be handled best?
