[COR WTC] WTC Monthly - Issue 5, April 618
Darnok replied to Darnok's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I almost forgot about it, but of course @Lord Buckethead got the 50DB reward for his prospecting build. May is not over yet, so check out this months incentives if you have not done so already! -
[SR - AMRCA - Doctor Thaum] The hunt for Red Oktober
Darnok replied to Professor Thaum's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great story! I love all the funny details, like the expression on one of the minifigs, the gold tooth of the monstershark - stuff like that really maes a difference. That shot fired from the cannon is also well done. Lovin' it! -
Interesting. I appreciate the detailed explanation, and will keep it in mind for the future. Thanks a lot!

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Darnok replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I had not thought about this, but you are of course right. It will not be an issue with what I have in mind. No. Another wharf build. I would never license fishing boats! -
Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Darnok replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I doubt we will run into serious problems. I have ten unique class 0 ships - meaning that there are ten individual builds, each one different from the next. This is no LDD C&P shenanigans. There will also be a larger build going alongside all of them. Of course I will use this to license the build as a large land property, as well as each of the ten class 0 ships. -
Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Darnok replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The "signature vessel" for class 0 is a prefab canoe. So anything similar to that is - officially - just fine. Prefab canoes, prefab rowboats, et cetera. As much as I agree with your point in regards to ships from class 1 and upwards, there is no basis to demand class 0 ships to be "unique". In fact, I will be licensing a couple of those soon, and their builds are... similar, to say the least. -
Winners announced - Musicians Talent Fair [Mini-Challenge]
Darnok replied to Sir Stig's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Aww, no more entries. Quite a shame. @Sir Stig Just asking here: when can we expect the results? If it was before coming Sunday, I would like to include them in the upcoming WTCM. -
Chapter 4 Part 2: A Legendary Arrival On one of the cliffs of the Glimmering Archipelago Captain Wilbern and Columbo watched a most peculiar scene: far down below on the ocean, near the shore, some boats raced each other. Two looked like they belonged to the natives of this island, but the third stood out - and Captain Wilburn immediately recognized it bearing the colours of the Red Rascals. They could no longer hide from the wrath of the WTC! Meanwhile on the other side of the island, near the point where they had landed just days ago, Mary-Anne watched the horizon. She noticed something moving on the waves, but could not believe her eyes at first. She called Yen: "Go get the captain. There is a raft coming. It has a giant "T" and a jacuuzzi on top... guess what? Tony is coming!" After landing the raft on the beach, the whole crew gathered, curious for what Tony had to say: . "Greetings from Tony! Come inside, I have some wine and sandwiches. Oh, and the latest WTC Monthly of course!" Mary-Anne and Yen waited outside, not up to any more nonsense, but the rest of the crew joined Tony: He had a lot to tell them... =================================================================================== Back to @Mesabi, who will play out what Tony has to tell. Feel free to use the pictures under the spoiler tag: One more shot of the beach scene and an "empty inside" shot too:

[COR-FB2] Hydrological Harvesting Part II
Darnok replied to Mesabi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Another great build from you! Continueing the "water from the lake" storyline like this makes a lot of sense. The aqueduct is nicely built, as is the water tower. The busy streets are also very well done. And for some reason I actually like the pink roof parts among the dark and normal red ones - looking good! The use of that "Where Are My Pants" sticker is just hilarious! Another WTC store chain in the making? -

[COR - FB] Lord Buckethead Mineral Co.
Darnok replied to Lord Buckethead's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I somehow missed commenting on this... Interesting story idea, with a nice build to go with it! The inclusion of the "tired engineers" is hilarious - as is Lord Buckethead himself. I think he will feel quite at home in Mesabi Landing. Loving it, well done! -
What a brilliant MOC! The idea is already incredible, but the execution... damn you! Perfect! I agree with every single word!

Well, if you do not notice her qualifications, you should get your eyes checked. -
[COR-FB] Quinnsville Cannon Foundry
Darnok replied to Spud The Viking's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Aye, a great build! I love the depiction of all the workplaces and just how much there is going on in general. The choice of faces and minifig posing is perfect. I also appreciate the close-ups on the cannon/howitzer builds, some interesting ideas! Well done! -

I like big bricks and I can not lie... Vote casted. -
How about the following: I place a 451DB bid on all of your current 450DB ones, and you pay 450DB each to me? I get the ships, and you burn some money. Win-win!

Only got it done today, but maybe the following two shots are helpful: Nothing special about the wall really, just 2x1 jumperplates. -
[TSotEP] 11 - Sea Monsters Behind This Point
Darnok replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Aye, a nice continuation of the story, keep it coming! I think we saw the ship before, but not in total, right? Anyway, it is a beauty for sure, great work. My absolute favourite remain the literal "sea monsters behind this point" - absolutely brilliant! -
[COR - FB] Large Shipyard, Quinnsville
Darnok replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great build indeed! Lots going on, I love all the little "workplace scenes". The WIP ship is well done, as is the crane. Those two houses add a lot of character to the overall scene! Quinnsville is indeed making huge steps forward under your guidance, keep up the excellent work! NEVAR!
