  1. Nice one. On the other hand: even more pirates. Yay?
  2. Well... The Great Ball did cost a lot of money, or did it not? The local economy did not profit from it, or did it? From an IC perspective - and nothing else matters for an IC newspapers - both of these thigns are true. The conclusion, from this point of view, is that King's Harbour is "in the red". I also want to point out that King's Harbour is a settlement of Corrington (you might have noticed ). Corringtons main colour is red. As a figure of speech, King's Harbour is indeed "in the red". You see, it is factually correct in two ways. Take your pick.
  3. All informations in the WTCM - apart from the two obvious "joke issues" - are factually correct. Calling it "fake news" compares it to the likes of CNN and New York Times - I do feel honoured!
  4. Great news, even if not for poor Jack! Thank you for getting this done super quick.
  5. Boo, poor form! Also, please check the forum rules: politics have no place here.
  6. Fair enough, but I disagree. The whole building is done using only black (roof, big window frams, door), white (walls) and reddish brown (gate, roof, upper level, gate, interior) - with gold being the one accent colour (windows, and the door knob). This was done to keep the build visually clean and make the flags and flowers (all done in Corrington colours) stand out.
  7. The camera issue has been solved/repaired, and the OP has been updated with the story and build. Sorry again for any possible irritations!
  8. From the Ninjago Movie CMF series. There is another very similar one in one of the regular Ninjago Movie sets.
  9. I do not have a phone with camera, but that will change over the summer. If the higher-ups disagree with my course of action and do not accept this licence for June, I am not going to complain.
  10. Have a look here. Going by its real-life counterpart I would agree completely, but luckily BotBS is not infested by the vile scum that is FIFA (or its associates). P.S.: The French team played an amazing game today!
  11. The OP has been updated. To be fair: our team deserves the shame. They played three poor games, winning one of them only by sheer luck. It does make the rest of the WC really relaxed though: I can just enjoy the games as they come. No more stressing about how our team might do the next day. I still watch every game, so no keeping me away from the TV here.
  12. Pff, I am above such childish squabbles. Or I forgot about it. Take your pick.
  13. Very nice! The chapel build is great, with the lighting setting the scene perfectly. The following story is pretty cool, giving both another insight into the Mesabis motivation and beliefs, as well as a new religion in BotBS. Very well done!
  14. Golden Jack was no minifig giving up. No sir, he was a fighter! So once again he headed out of Mesabi Landing to finally find something other than coal. Digging deep into the rocky ground, there should be something valuable to be found at last... =========================================================================================== Previously on this post: I apologize for any irritation this might have caused. My camera had an issue with its lens adjustment - which I was able to repair haf an hour ago - so I could not take any pictures in time previously. So, another prospecting build for Mesabi Landing. What will it be this time? Coal again? As always, C&C are appreciated.
  15. The Wayfarer Trading Company is proud to host the Paradise Isles Cup, played out between the Red Rogues from Mesabi Landing and the Blue Braggers, a team made up of Oleonese sailors: Have a closer look at the teams: Before the game started, and while the fans arrived and filled the stadium, drinks and snacks were sold... ... while the smaller fans enjoy the fun provided by other means. At the same time, even fans from different teams can have a good time together: . And while most people were looking forward to the match, some had a job to do that did not allow them to see even a little glimpse of it: Both teams had their dedicated fans of course! On the left side, cheering for the Red Rogues, were mostly citizens of Mesabi Landing. Some WTC Marines were looking for spectacular foulplays of course, while guests from Myzectlan on nearby Cascadia enjoyed the (for them) exotic food as well as the game. On the top rank stood Gonzo "Drunknok" Thompson, having a drink and forgetting about the next issue of the WTCM once again! On the other side, the fans of the Blue Braggers had a great time too. One or the other might want to think about his loyalties though... Above them all sat Agnes Mesabi in her VIP lounge, guarded by a WTC Infantry below, rejoicing in the game as well as the many drinks available: . === Now on to the game itself! The ball is with the Red Rogues, they are keeping it in their half for the time being. No need to rush, let those Oleon sissies come! And they did! Brilliant intercept by the Blue Braggers on the right side of the field, attempting to pass to a forward... ... but the Red Rogues reclaim the ball! Now they storm along the left side of the field, taking the Blue Braggers defence by surprise... ... and the position is great! A shot... ... and GOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! The Red Rogues score, the moment being captured by talented snapshot painter Mr. Wiggins: ... None of this matters though, since heavily drunk Agnes Mesabi decided that she was the one who should win the cup: =========================================================================================== Licensed as a large arts&culture property for Mesabi Landing. This one was a lot of fun to build. I am pleased with the results. I guess at least the Red Rogues will show up at this years New Terra Soccer Cup! As always, C&C are appreciated.
  16. And yet another small government bureau, licensed as small art and culture property:
  17. Once again it was evening when Wilbur Epper II., now appointed Chairman of the Royal Society of Navigation and Discovery, met Commander Francis just days after their last meeting. "Greetings Sir, you have asked for my presence?" Epper asked. "Yes Mr. Epper, I have urgent news for you. First let me congratulate you to your promotion though! You leaving King's Harbour will be a loss for this island, but the Crown has put its trust into you - and so do I. Whatever your upcoming challenges, I think you will fine. Now for the paperwork. Shortly after the news of your promotion arrived, so did a letter with all the necessary documents for the RSND to aquire its own ships. I have them over here..." "Together with this you will also be granted command over the HMS Hermes, one of the fastest ships in the colonies. She is waiting for you down at the harbour." Epper replied: "Thank you for your kind words, Sir. Neither the Crown nor you will be disappointed, we have glorious days ahead of us!" =========================================================================== Continuing the story here, and also serving as the build to buy the first shiplevels for the RSND. For those curious about the background behind the window: As always, C&C are appreciated.
  18. Epper is actually the guy in red. Well, what a typo... I deserve the shame.
  19. The RSND has set up its first warehouse (medium commerce) in Jameston:
  20. The newly founded Royal Society of Navigation and Discovery has just recently set up its headquarters in Jameston. Now a warehouse near the harbour has been aquired, already being filled with the first supplies for the missions ahead: Delivered by a respected local trader, the warehouse is being filled with the best Jameston has to offer... ... all checked and double-checked by an RSND accountant: ====================================================================================== Licensed by the RSND as a medium commerce in Jameston. Some shots of the RSND flag (and another hair... I should know better by now...) and the warehouse interior: The RSND flag is a design by @LM71Blackbird. As always, C&C are appreciated.
  21. =============================================================================================== Another late issue, somebody needs to kick the editior in the balls or something. The full PDF can be found, as usual, under the spoiler tag: For older issues of the WTCM, or the other BotBS newspapers, check out the Brick Seas News Archive!
  22. Aye. And aye - got you covered, might stink of dead people and whale meat though.
  23. Aye, that was my point, thanks. Another poor change to the rules sadly.
  24. How is sistershipping being affected by this?
  25. Great work everybody! Currently the steps #2, #5, #6 and #9 are still open (with @Spud The Viking working on #9).
