[COR - FB] Shot Tower, Quinnsville
LM71Blackbird replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Well, the green, bright green, and olive are official colors. As to the tan ones I can't find anyplace to get those... Which could be why I only have about 7 of them in my collection... I'll have to dig around and find out where they came from! -

Thank you! I really worked hard one making no gaps around the tower! Thank you! I used most of my brown and tan on this build, but your definitely right. Guess I gotta get some more! Thank you! Are you referring to this leaf part? https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=30176#T=S&O={"iconly":0} -

José's Inn - Ye Olde BoBS Drinking Hole
LM71Blackbird replied to Darnok's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
They are from a place called BrickForge. They have a bunch of cool lego compatible goodies, including those terrific animals! Same idea as the Brickarms weapons. They are also loads cheaper then if you tried to get the Official Lego version off of Bricklink. -

Thank you! I quite enjoyed getting the round shape and all. Not quite happy with how the roof turned out, but I think it looks alright in the pictures. Well, after a quick search on Bricklink, it appears they are not a real thing... I got some bricks from a few relatives over the holidays, so I'm not actually sure where they came from atm! I just assumed Lego had produced them in white at this point! lol! Sorry to disappoint! -

Shot Tower With all the talk about war with the Lotus Kingdom and the constant threat from the Sea Rats, the always advancing City of Quinnsville has taken it upon itself to begin full-scale production of various munitions for the Corrish settlements throughout the New World. The first of such establishments is a shot tower that has been constructed on the outskirts of the city. Shot Tower 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr First, the lead is turned molten and then dropped from the top of the tower. On the journey down it becomes spherical before landing into a collection container filled with water. Shot Tower 4 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Then the lead balls are inspected for roundness and then sorted by caliber. Shot Tower 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Today, both Mayor Brickford and Major Brickford are visiting the Shot tower to observe the process and find out if it was a wise decision to construct such a larger contraption! Shot Tower 3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr After the shot has been confirmed to be of sufficient roundness, some samples are tested in the shooting gallery behind the tower. Mayor Brickford always takes the opportunity to fire a musket and relive the glory days in the Royal Army of Her Majesty. Shot Tower 6 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr -------------------------------------------------------- My newest and biggest real brick build for BoBs has arrived! I recently got some Bricklink orders and really wanted to make something round and I figure a shot tower would be a fitting build! Some inspiration goes to @Darnok, for I wouldn't even know about a shot tower if it wasn't for his own rendition of one. This will be licensed as a large factory. C&C are welcome and apprecieated and thanks for looking!

[COR - FB] Spudkirk Raid

Another great build for the settlement Spud! As Bodi said, the baseplate is awesome! -
The Brickfords would be honored to attended your Banquet! NB by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Major Nathaniel Brickford shouldn't be to hard to reproduce. A regular imperial solider torso and some white legs is all your need. RB by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Richard Brickford's got light grey pants and white epaulets. His face is from an older city set. If you don't have the hair piece, a black tri-corner hat would work just fine. His Torso doesn't come in straight black, so this one would work just fine: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb1312c01#T=S&C=5&O={"color":5,"iconly":0} Looking forward to the grand feast!

Settlement: Spudkirk, Avestia, Corrington

Cliffside Store House Cliffside Storehouse 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr -
Cliffside Storehouse After the brazen attack on the of the newest budding Corrish settlement of Spudkirk, VP of Operations Ralph Clutchington decided to not put all their eggs in one basket. This decision was made so that the settlement would not experience shortages in the aftermath of an attack. The Decision was implemented by building a series of storehouses around the settlement on strategic positions. Also serve as small gun emplacements to further protect the settlement. Cliffside Storehouse 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr These storehouses will have a watch posted at all times to help protect the Spudkirk's limited and important assets. Cliffside Storehouse 3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr VP of Operations, Ralph Clutchington, is personally overseeing the plan and visiting the guards posted to the storehouses around the settlement. Cliffside Storehouse 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr On this trip they are also beginning the stocking process by dropping off the first supply of goods to be stored. Cliffside Storehouse 4 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr ---------------------------------------------------------- After seeing @Ayrlego's build in Spudkirk, I really wanted to create something for the settlement as well. C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking!

José's Inn - Ye Olde BoBS Drinking Hole
LM71Blackbird replied to Darnok's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Happy new year!! Yes indeed! Anybody get some bricks during the holidays? I ended getting a great deal on the 1500 piece lego classic kits. Ended up getting 2 boxes for $40 each at my local Costco ($20 off the retail value). Works out to a measily $0.026 per part! -
[BTSC] BotBS Tournament Soccer Cup 619

Quite a riveting game so far! So much action! How very, very true this statement is! Hopefully next year the cannonade can get things on track with a brand new roster! -
I nice looking Ship! I like the way you did the furled sails as well. I tinkered with many techniques but that's a new one I might have to borrow!

What an abysmal performance... That referee is going to get a serious beating by any Cocovians in Mesabi Landing... Great work on the writeup and GMing as usual Darnok. Ticked I'm going 0-for-3 though... -

A nice addition to the Academy and an interesting concept. I think your architecture and layout make the whole idea work very well though!- 30 replies
