  1. Will do! Simple changes I should have factored in at the beginning. Thanks for the feedback!
  2. Many thanks! I'm quite enjoying the ship building at the moment and this is probably one of my favorites now!
  3. Thank you! As for the cannons... I didn't have enough of those pieces in black to make them all the same so I had to improvise. I wish it was not so!
  4. Is the window made from tin foil? Do you have options? Like if you get one like Luke Skywalker, can you do exposed metal or skin overlay??
  5. I have thought about putting a turbo on it, but that will have to wait till next spring! Sweet!
  6. Nope, just has the stock GM 2.2 Ecotec with 140 hp. Being a fairly lightish car it is pretty peppy. Enough to push you back when you floor it.
  7. Wonderful! Great color scheme, the dark green sails are a nice touch. How long did all that rigging take you?
  8. Thank you! Get caught in a hail storm?
  9. My favorite color as well. The doors are actually surprisingly functional. I mainly did the mod because they are so long I tend to ding other peoples car doors if they park to close. Now I can park wherever I please! The background is where I live. It's a old retired farm built in the late 1700s... It hasn't been active in probably 20 to 30 years.
  10. Just something some of you may enjoy. My end of summer project that I just finished after about a month and a half of work. It is a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire. I repainted it from a bright yellow to this blue and converted the doors to lambo doors. Sunfire blue 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Sunfire blue by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr
  11. What category would a watchtower be under other than a fort? Or would that be the only option?
  12. Looking good! I definitely like it with the lettering better.
  13. A wonderful build indeed and a great showcase of the heroic minifigs that protect our lands both near and far!
  14. Wonderful!! The colors are quite nice and the overall presentation it awesome. I personally like having Brethren of the Brick seas on it.
  15. Thank you! Yes, shrouds are something I need to work on... Thanks!
  16. Thank you! I'm glad you like the finished product! Now on to the Merchant Marine tasks! The fist vessel is already in the works!
  17. A post-ship for the Royal Navy My third entry to the Oaken Shield tasks. Frigate 3.4 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr
  18. [GoC - Cruisers of Terra Nova] Post-Ship HMS Black Panther The Quinnsville shipyards have produced yet another vessel which it intends to donate to the Royal Navy for use in protecting Corrington's investments. The 18-gun, post-ship HMS Black Panther has just been launched and has entered the proving phase before joining the naval base in King's Harbour. Frigate 3.4 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr In the gundeck she can carry eighteen 24-pounders and has an assortment of small cannon and deck guns for signaling and if necessary, boarding. Frigate 3.5 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Down below, the first 24-pounders are being positioned. The rest of the armament will follow once the order has been fulfilled by the Quinnsville Cannon Foundry. Frigate 3.6 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr To Rear-admiral Fletcher, In the interest of the Nation of Corrington and all her settlements she protects, I, Mayor Richard Brickford of the city of Quinnsville, hereby donate the recently completed ship, the HMS Black Panther. I believe that she will prove quite useful to the Terra Novian fleet that so bravely protects the sometime dangers waters that we call home. The proving is going quite well so far, and if she passes your inspection I do believe she will make a fine addition to the fleet. As the other vessels now in the service of Her Majesty's Royal Navy, the handy-work of our hardworking shipwrights should meet your quality standards. In Her Majesty's service Richard Brickford Mayor of Quinnsville --------------------------------------------------- My 3rd and final entry for the GoC Oaken Shield Tasks, the HMS Black Panther! I'm quite happy how the tumble home turned out overall. The figurehead may be a bit large, but I like how it looks in the end. C&C are welcome and apprecieated and thanks for looking! @Bregir @Ayrlego @SilentWolf @Captain Dee
  19. Northern Vermont, about 15 minutes from the Canadian Border.
  20. A nice looking build indeed! I like the hull shape and color and that brick build gun is really nice!
  21. Great story, photograph, and build! Looking forward to the next chapter!
  22. Those are big, beautiful and I want one!
  23. Most definitely. That was a huge part of this era in time. Well, every year is a toss up to whether we get 4 feet of snow and 20 to 30 degree F temps (-6 to -1 C) or moderate snow and 30 below 0 (-34 C) temps for months. But I know what you mean! I lived in Montana for a time as a kid and that was nuts... I definitely agree. Sometimes a simple conversation can improve your perception of the world around you. I actually have! Last year I did my parents 30th wedding anniversary vow renewal. It was actually a pretty fun day.
