Lol! I was thinking the exact opposite... Nope, you've got it down packed. @Bregir, @Capt Wolf As this is my error and misunderstanding, I will commit to do 5 separate builds and five separate threads for each if my five ships. I will shoot for at least a 16x16 size each depicting a different aspect of the sister shipping process.

No need to apologize! Definitely not a story sense topic. I will seek to adjust it soon! I asked about it in the intro thread a few days back and it's kind of a let's try it and see what happens! 100% agree. I as understand it, sister shipping is a one time deal right? No need for apologies! Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I understand your viewpoint on the matter. All points noted. I wasn't planning on repurposing a build, however, time got away from me so far this month with that pesky real life stuff. I can certainly update the topic with a new build and expanded story to remedy any errors and/or misunderstandings on my part... I've never sister shipped before, butafter almost 2 years in BoBs, I wanted to bring back a few of my starting vessels for one last hurrah before moving on to new vessels.

So many ships so little time... Over the last several months the shipyards of Quinnsville have produced numerous vessels with the intention of bringing the wealth of the new land to the settlement. While the overall goal has been achieved, many vessels have been lost in the process. Sistership build 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Because of this, Mayor Brickford has paid the always bustling shipyard a visit to see about refitting the dwindled merchant fleet of Quinnsville. Sistership build 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr To his great satisfaction, many ships matching those that have been lost were nearing completion and would be ready to launch before the end of the week! ----------------------------------------- A quick little writeup for a mass sistershiping campaign of 5 vessels. The HMS Barracuda, Pelican, Turaco, Puffin, and Swift. The Shipyard is a repurposed build but the story is fresh!

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
LM71Blackbird replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
While were on the topic of account sheet rectifying, I've got 3 vessels (Puffin, Turaco, and Pelican) that either sunk or were captured still showing up as active under me. I do believe that this is that case as well. Quinnsville's balance is shown in row 59 but should be the amount shown in row 60 and my balance is shown in row 180 but should be the amount shown in row 182. -
Well, I'd be lying if I said the Vietcong didn't come to mind during the build process! Thank you very much! I'm glad that you liked it! Thanks! Thank you! The build has been ''complete'' for about 2 weeks, but I didn't take any pictures of it until the other day because I kept adding more vegetation to it! When you layer the three different colors of bamboo, I think it gives the look of growing bamboo, which I quite like!

[OL - Challenge III - Cat A] Seeing the Sights

Great little build and some nice story to accompany it! -
[COR - Challenge III Category E] - Snakes in the Grass - Feb 620 Deep in the jungles of El Oleonda, Carnite forces have been attempting to hunt down Loti troops and so called squatter settlements. A small scouting party has gone ahead of the main expeditionary unit that has been following what they believe is a Loti Guerilla force deep into the dense jungle. Jungle 7 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr The small Carnite force has been moving at a steady pace, however they have found no evidence that the Loti troops they have been looking for have traveled this way. Exhausted, their new goal is to rest and refresh themselves at a small brook flowing through the heavy ground cover. Jungle 6 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Unbeknownst to them however, the very target they are ''following'' is really following them. Jungle 8 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Though armed to the teeth and capable of wiping out this small threat, they have been ordered to not attack unless absolutely necessary in order to afford the greater portion of the Loti forces to escape through the jungle and fight on another day. Jungle 9 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr However, as the hostilities continue to grow, there is no telling what may become necessary in the midst of war. Only time will tell as to who will come out on top in this bitter conflict of nations. ------------------------------------------- My entry for Category E. Easily one of my favorite creations in recent memory and really fun to stage the minifigs in. C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking!

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
LM71Blackbird replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A question about sistershipping… Do I need to do individual threads for every ship I sistership or can I do one thread with appropriate story for multiple ships? Just wanted to ask before spamming the forum with sistership threads. I've got 4 or 5 to do before the tMRCA. -

Nice! I also ordered a few odds and ends from BrickForge recently as well! Another site I found that some people may not know about and may want to try out is BrickWarriors.com. They have a lot of really awesome stuff and they are designed specifically for LEGO minifigures. They also have some nicely molded instruments that you may like @Captain Dee.

Lol! That is the exact one I used for inspiration! What are the odds of that?

LM71Blackbird replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A great write-up as usual @Capt Wolf! I will say I am quite pleased to have finally captured a ship while sailing the seas! Took licensing 2 Class 10s, but I did it! -

Thank you! Mission accomplished on getting a clean design! Thanks a lot! I most certainly meant Art & Culture... I really gotta stop posting stuff late at night... I'm glad the idea of Church of England came across for the most part as well. For the crosses on the spires, I both agree and disagree with you. Crosses are pretty near universal in my opinion as all the main religions have them in some form or another. But I do understand about not wanting to offend anyone, which is certainly never my intention. Thank you! I'm glad you like the tan, I tried 3 other colors before settling on the nougat color. I was originally planning on trying to try a different render program, but after looking at a bunch of real cathedrals, most of them had pretty smooth surfaces. As to the organ, ask and you shall receive! Thanks a lot! This is what I was going for. I must be blind... I missed this when I was researching for the build... Thanks for letting me know! Again, this is what I was going for! I was thinking along the lines of the Catholic and Protestant type of rivalry. With the Church of Corrington being the Catholic side and Olean's strict Order of the Faith the Protestant side. But for that to be official there would need to be some deliberation in regards to that I guess. Any faction specific stuff we can take to the Faction Thread. I adjusted the first paragraph of the story to hopefully better fit the established lore.
