[GoC - FB1 - COR] Spirdkirk Forward Outpost
LM71Blackbird replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks! I've got a good deal of olderish pieces as well as some newer stuff, so I just use what I got. -
Great looking build! The timber framing is really nice as well. Is the duel pegleg legs a custom thing or a lego official? I can't remember seeing that in any sets...

[GOC-COR] Stormhaven Post Office
LM71Blackbird replied to Mesabi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Small and simple, but nice work overall! The angled door is a nice touch as is the angled walkway. Maybe a bit more greenery would be good, but perhaps this is nearer the shoreline than deep within the mangroves. Good to have you back and building!- 6 replies

[GoC - FB1 - COR] Spirdkirk Forward Outpost
LM71Blackbird replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you! Yes, they do have a Canadian Mounties feel to it! I'm keeping it close to the style we created for the AMRCA of the Royal Marines stationed here. I'm glad you like my little build though! -

Thank you! When I first started building it, I started with making an elaborate window, then built around them. -

Thank you! I wish I had the bricks to build something like this in person! One day! Thanks! If I remember correctly, it is in the 15k -17k range. Not a fun file to load, it takes a while! -
Thanks! I wanted to try something different then just a sea of red and muskets. You would of course be correct regarding the moc. It has been some time since I bought troops, and I had a slight memory lapse on the required moc. Building late in the evening doesn't help either! Lol! I'll, update the thread in a few days to correct that. Thank you!

[GoC - FB2 - COR] University of Quinnsville
LM71Blackbird replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks for the ! Like I said, it was originally planned as a Royal property, which is why it is so ornate. But an interior on a building this big is just too much for me! Maybe some vignettes in the future though... -
No real rush. Thank you!

University of Quinnsville As one of the next steps towards building Quinnsville into one of Corrington's premier settlements in the new world, a large university has been constructed. Within the walls of the enormous structure, everything from advanced mathematics, cartography, and the sciences are taught. QV 3.6 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr There are many classrooms on the first two floors and the third floor houses the resident students who are studying from abroad. QV 3.7 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Out front is a small garden and statue dedicated to the Secretary of Science, one of the most prominent figures in the Parliament of Science. ----------------------------------------- A build I have been working on for some time. It was originally meant to be a Royal property for the city of Quinnsville, but I lost the motivation to build an interior for such a large building. And, without the interior, it wouldn't qualify it for a Royal anyway. So now I intended to license it as a large property for the GoC mission 'Higher Education' for task #3. C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking! @Bregir @Ayrlego @SilentWolf @Captain Dee

@Phred @Captain Genaro Has this build been licensed yet? I thought I had but the license report says I haven't yet. Thanks in advance!

1st Quinnsville Light Dragoons and 1st Quinnsville Company of Foot (Rifleman) The next graduating classes of the Quinnsville Military Academy have just received their commissions in Her Majesty's Army. In normal fashion, the graduating class goes on parade through the town before they settle down into full military service in Her Majesty's Armed Forces. Rifleman and Dragoons 3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr The 1st Quinnsville Light Dragoons have passed with flying colors and proudly ride upon the finest horses brought from Elizabethville, the producer of the finest horses in the Brick Seas. Rifleman_Dragoons 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Joining them are the crack shots of the 1st Quinnsville Company of Foot or simply, the 1st Rifleman Company. These are the best marksman that Cocovia has to offer. They are easily distinguished from the Corrington Regulars due to their green coats and dark trousers. This allows them to remain unseen until they choose to fire upon an unsuspecting enemy! Rifleman_Dragoons 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr ----------------------------------- Two simple builds to raise the 60 men per MRCA limit of Quinnsville. 30 Dragoons and 30 Rifleman. Also, I just really enjoy build military troops. C&C are welcome, but please keep in mind these builds are just to show the troops for licensing purposes.

[GoC - FB - COR] Spirdkirk Forward Outpost Follow the recent attack by the Loti on the budding settlement of Spudkirk, a forward outpost has been set up overlooking the harbor. Watchtower 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Located not far from the newly erected Fort Nithsdale, this watchtower will serve as a more effective way to monitor the new harbor until more defenses can be set up in the lower portions of the settlement. Watchtower 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr The Marines stationed here are wearing the better suited jungle attire with wide brimmed hats to help with the sun. One of the sergeants has walked up to check on the men and make sure there is nothing unusual to report. Watchtower 4 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr As this was hastily constructed, the men stationed here are currently living out of a tent until more permanent housing can be built for them. Most of the time was spent on the watchtower and cannon defenses. --------------------------------------------- My first entry for the GoC Strategic Outposts for Task #3. Ownership is forthwith transferred to the faction as per the task requirements. I believe either a military residence or a small fort would best suit this build. C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking! @Bregir @Ayrlego @SilentWolf @Captain Dee
