Definitely, it is an upgrade from the original movie. I would've somewhat prefered if they'd excluded his initials and darker-colored patch from his jacket print, but they're just so subtle that it's hard to complain.

LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Digger of Bricks replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Most indeed! I mean, for instance, I'd love to see further recolors of the Nexo Knights theme's signature windshield and canopy parts within a potential future Space theme (plus, further recolors of the "Speed Champions canopy" would most appreciated). While I couldn't see further in-house Space themes being completely devoid of conflict, I'm pretty certain there are many viable directions they can take the next one that don't need to have its premise revolve centrally around conflict. With the exception of 2001's Life on Mars, all of those 2000's/2010's Space themes you mentioned did exist during Star Wars' cinematic "dry spell" so to speak (i.e. the years sitting in between the theatrical release of 2005's Ep. III and 2015's Ep. VII). Six years after 2013's Galaxy Squad though, nothing's been seen since then. Personally, I think there are a few different ways Lego could spice-up an exploration-centric premise for an in-house Space theme that could make such a line just about as enticing as Star Wars. -

One such idea I've always fancied for a "conflictless" Space theme is one that would have a premise based upon competition and sportsmanship rather than your typical "good guys vs. bad guys" tropes. More specifically, I think a Space Racing/GARC playtheme would be seriously cool, as it could offer a most colorful assortment of wild spacecraft builds that need not be limited to any particular faction/color scheme! -
No? Huh, perhaps I'm thinking of a similar LDD render of such by @Yooha?

Well, I can think of a few ways Lego could cook-up a Space theme who's premise at least does not revolve around conflict. -
Oh, yes, now I remember that!

Is that a retailer's site you've linked there (with watermarked images)? -
To stop the rumours that the theme was about to end with news that it isn't. The last Brickheadz 2019 thread was made in June as well. We know this year isn't going to get many more sets (Ghost and Reindeer/Elf seasonals) unless they surprise us. Plus, if Harry Potter and the upcoming Trolls World Tour themes have already received topics for their own 2020 waves upon first moment's confirmation, then I think @marcosbessa's word is good enough to get this discussion started earlier than usual.

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Phfft, how could you expect them to brand such sets now? Without the broadly encompassing DC SuperHeroes headlining, these sets are now branded by their focal-pointed hero/team, and I'm not quite sure if Justice League/other-character-besides-Batman branded sets would fly well under Batman-less headlining. -

Digger of Bricks replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
I know, I know, of course we can't conclusively deem this year's Space subtheme as filler for any sort of in-house Space theme void, as it's more likely following in the footsteps of all the previous Exploration/STEM-based summer subthemes that we've seen from City more recently like you'd suggested. Still, I feel it may be acting to unintentionally hold over some of us Spacers. Plus, whenever we do see the next in-house Space, would you really expect it to lack fantastical conflict like this subtheme of City's? For those desiring something more akin to conflictless Classic Space (pre-Blacktron and all), I think City may be one of the only places to expect such from here on! -

Sounds almost like a winter-themed People Pack in a way. -
If, and only if, LEGO still has the Scooby-Doo license, we may see Scooby-Doo BrickHeadz sets to coincide with the upcoming SCOOB! movie next year! Being Warner Brothers and all, I'm pretty Lego have had access to the franchise this whole time, it's just that they either may have had to make room for something else, or that initial 2015 wave simply didn't do as well as they'd hoped. But sure, a cinematic revival of the franchise gives Lego reason to try again! Well, this year's Far From Home certainly could be used to represent Spidey next year within the BrickHeadz theme.

You just have to think of City's Mars Mission subtheme as a barely-recognizable refugee seeking asylum, fleeing from Disney's Star Wars after being ripped from its rightful place in Lego's product line-up with no where else to go. -

With TLG now having partnerships with both Netflix (via Stranger Things) and Dreamworks (via next year's Trolls World Tour theme), would Lego possibly consider following-up Ideas' 21311 Voltron with anything based upon Netflix/Dreamworks' Voltron: Legendary Defender TV show? While I know the show just wrapped-up with its Eighth and Final Season back in December, is it still relevant enough for such if Lego wished to do so?
