Armed with a magnifying glass against a chameleon, yeah, I don't think Lego's gonna dub him either an Adventurer nor an Archaeologist. To be qualified for such, he should've had at least some sorta relic paired with either a map or excavation tool for some kind. Apart from his accessories, I like the figure for what it is alone; but again, he's not Indiana Jones, just a naturalist who shares Johnny Thunder's tastes in attire.

LEGO Hidden Side 2020
Digger of Bricks replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Oh, I wasn't at all suggesting that fourteen set wave could be a "successor" to Hidden Side (that's just impossibly early for such). Rather, I was postulating that it could be a System-based "big bang" successor to Nexo Knights (that is, if it isn't a new constraction theme), thereby discounting prior speculation on my part that the Hidden Side theme is that "big bang" successor to Nexo Knights. -
Well, the longer I let this Series sink in, the more mixed I feel about it. For me, it isn't the overall selection as much as it's the execution of several of the figures, namely being the "Fright Knight", homage Johnny Thunder, and the Firefighter. As I've said earlier, the "Fright Knight" should've been more Vampire rather than Whitewalker, the Firefighter very well may just be straight outta the City theme, and I'm pretty sure the Johnny Thunder homage is neither an archaeologist nor an Adventurer.

Speaking of such, was your own Cyclist design a Mountain Biker, a Professional Cyclist, a BMX Biker, or something else?
-
Awesome... Having now seen that Series 19 will finally be giving us an Adventurer (um, is it though?), I must confess, you executed your own design for such much better, though I still appreciate Lego's for what is is.

The CMF also looks to have a slick-looking Black recolor of the newer Ant-Man helmet introduced this year.- 991 replies

DAMN, it's Johnny Thunder as a CMF!!! But, is he really an Adventurer, or just simply another Explorer? Okay, there's a bit to unpack with this Series now that we've seen the full line-up, though I'm gonna have to reserve my figure-by-figure judgement until the official reveal. But, undoubtedly the biggest surprises from this sneak peek for me include... Generic Johnny Thunder (more spot-on than I'd expected from such a CMF homage) The "Black-Ops guy" whose turned out to be Blacktron Bounty Hunter ( ) A Mountain Biker with her bike (here's to hoping for a BMX Biker and/or Professional Cyclist down the road!) ...And at long last, a Firefighter! (granted, I hoped such a CMF would give us a badged firefighter helmet, so I'm slightly disappointed)

Some sorta $10 promotional set for Hidden Side has just been leaked by @Falconfan1414.

Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
Digger of Bricks replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Specifically, not a clue, though I'm pretty sure it's a Sci-Fi archetype rather than anything historical, as it's welding a gun of some kind. -
