Hey y'all, it's been awhile hasn't it? I know there's been a lot that I haven't shared my thoughts on since I've been absent, not only because I've been preoccupied/distracted by others things, but also this year has given me a greater degree of "D2C fatigue" more than others. Yeah, this really has been the year of exclusives hasn't it? Admittedly, it's all been somewhat tiresome, I just couldn't muster-up any enthusiasm over the heavy influx of such given how expected it'd all become (not to mention all the strange licensing deals)... Honestly, I actually don't find this news as disheartening as it could be, because given how lackluster Series 20 was and all that it seemed to suggest, I'm just happy there is gonna be a Series 21. Wait, a Superhero? Where was this reported?

I know the last couple Series were already subpar enough, but seriously: Once the blind bag system goes, any chance of expecting more particular, niche archetypes will be very little to none. From then on, I'm certain that the Collectable Minifigure theme would become nothing more than an expansion line for City.

After the peculiar archiving of @figura's LEGO Ideas project last year, I'm still hoping TLG has plans on giving Disney's Gravity Falls some representation soon here, as there were two BrickHeadz dual-packs based upon such which never came to be rumored a couple of years ago. The least I'd hope for are CMFs of Dipper & Mabel Pines in a future Disney CMS, while a D2C Mystery Shack on par with the Stranger Things Byers House would be most satisfactory... Action and Adventure Themes Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
BTW, the new Red Skull minifigure from 76166 Avengers Tower Battle has a rather nice torso print that others here might find useful repurposed for Count Ogel or some sorta evil "Dieselpunk" baron archetype...- 233 replies

Huh, I figured it'd be cancelled this year with COVID-19 and all, but it looks like TLG will still be hosting LEGO Fan Media Days, though remotely of course... The Brick Fan - The Brick Fan at RLFM Days 2020 -
Nice! I really dig your recolors of Series 6's Intergalactic Girl and Series 7's Galaxy Patrol! Regarding the latter, I've always thought it'd be cool to see a female counterpart to that CMF in those colors, as not only would it evoke M-Tron, but'd also kinda evoke Metroid's Samus Aran?

I see where you're coming from, though I don't think a sequel set during the following summer has to be a retread of the same kinda adventures they had previously, as I'd want them to instead narrow their focus on diving deeper into the history and mystery of Gravity Falls itself, something they never really got down to the bottom of with Weirdmageddon intervening and all. The only certain thing I'd want see is an episode or sequence that'd essentially be something like the Bottomless Pit episode meets A Tale of Two Stans, where Great Uncles Stanford & Stanley recount to the others a "Stan-O'-War" adventure of theirs in the Arctic around an evening campfire in their own banter-like manner.

Okay, but there was another project that was archived, Japanese Tea Garden by Coosey__Goosey. https://ideas.lego.com/content/project/link/9af5661d-d8a0-42a3-a2fc-43b6c5e9c56f I couldn’t tell if it was Figura or Coosey__Goosey who worked for LEGO. I believe it was definitely Coosey__Goosey of the Japanese Tea Garden who worked for TLG, though I don't if the same was said about @figura... Another interesting thing to note, apparently there were rumored to be two Gravity Falls themed BrickHeadz dual-packs coming last year, though we strangely never saw anything of them, and they were rumored before the archiving of @figura's LEGO Ideas project.

Ninjago villains and future

If they ever do Kaiju, it better be as a Pacific Rim inspired homage to Exo-Force. You know, Mecha Ninja vs. Dragon Kaiju. Heh, how 'bout then make it a Lovecraft-inspired wave (i.e. Ninjas vs. Cthulhu)?
