  1. Pretty different from what I was expecting too, but with the opposite reaction... ...sorry, but Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider/Uncharted tropes shoehorned into anything is a instance win in my book (even if it's cinematic Disney Princess entry), as I'm just a sucker for that kinda stuff...
  2. HOLY MOLEY... ...Could we be witnessing the coming of the next @Robert8 y'all?! Seriously impressive for a first start man! My favorites of the bunch have to be your Magical Girl & Ghost Hunter designs!
  3. Heh, then you probably can expect army-builders like construction workers, firefighters, and more policemen...
  4. This has been brought up by others before many times, but the biggest downside to disclosing the contents of CMF packages is that there'll always be a few shelf warmers among a given Series' selection, so with that you can expect Lego to play it even safer and not give us more "riskier" archetypes that'd be desired by more select interest groups. Collectable Minifigure Series have give us so many archetypes that would've never been produced if it weren't for the blind bag model; so, if ya think the last few CMS have been playing it too safe, it'd be much worse if they'd disclose the contents.
  5. Ooooh, a most excellently rustic design! Loving the new babushka piece and that faceprint is so intricately textured!
  6. These last three have all been excellent! Cthulhu is simple yet perfect, the Animatronic is a rather novel idea for a CMF, and yikes, that ribcage accompanying the Werewolf Woman is awfully grim... For me, creepy animatronics always take my mind straight to Gravity Falls' Soos and the Real Girl...
  7. Well, as it was mentioned in the excerpt, the director's last film was that live-action Christopher Robin movie from Disney with Ewan McGregor; so, if that's anything to go by, I'm expecting (or at least hoping) that it'll overall be a more tasteful, nuanced film.
  8. Dang, your Invisible Man is undoubtedly my favorite design from this calendar yet! Yeah, I know it's much simpler than the rest, but it's a noir, trenchcoat-donning archetype, how could I not love it?
  9. It'd be a stretch to suggest that this could influence Lego in any way, but I thought I'd just share this here... The Hollywood Reporter - Marc Forster to Direct 'Thomas & Friends' Movie for Mattel Films
  10. That Bogeyman is actually a pretty clever idea for a CMF, and a great counterpart to your earlier Closet Monster (I'd forgotten about that one). Plus, those horrific plushes of his are a hilarious touch.
  11. Reminds me more of Armando Salazar.
  12. That's actually a pretty nice approach. Rather than just stopping at a female counterpart to Lego's two Mad Scientist CMFs, you make her a trick-or-treater.
  13. Turquoise fish-man eh? Perfect color choice right there... ...while I know Monster Fighters gave us a CMS-worthy amphibious humanoid eight years ago, I still want the Collectable Minifigure theme to tackle the archetype, and your take would certainly be the way to go!
  14. Oh, really? I thought the leak was a scan of a finished catalogue. Darn it, are you trying to get my hopes back up? Oh, duh. It literally says preliminary on the image. I mean, if this year's 3-In-1 Rover is anything to go by, they could just stick to Trans-Black to complement; however, a more humanoid mech/robot is a bit more cartoonish than a plausible near-future space rover, so perhaps it could use a little more color against that white to suit...
  15. Aghhh! We only have two short years? *pukes* Make that three years... Variety - Star Wars & Avatar Sequels Pushed Back a Year in Disney Release Calendar Shakeup
  16. Ooooh, that White & Turquoise work surprisingly well together for a spacecraft! Loving the overall shaping and dual "tail-fins" there too!
  17. It is just a preliminary render, so maybe there's still a chance the final product could give us a new canopy recolor?
  18. Not sure if we're allowed to start a 2021 BrickHeadz topic yet, so I'll just drop this here since no one's brought it up...
  19. Wow, that's just too perfect... ...most astonishing, great idea there!
  20. Oh yes, this too also joined the Third 2020 Review Stage recently... The Brick Fan - LEGO Ideas Red Dwarf Starbug Achieves 10,000 Supporters
  21. Just thought I'd share this news here too...
  22. Looks like another Avatar: The Last Airbender submission besides @MinibrickProductions' project has just achieved support... The Brick Fan - LEGO Ideas Avatar: The Last Airbender YIP YIP! Achieves 10,000 Supporters
  23. Really digging your Spooky Clown and Mutant Woman designs... ...BTW, does the Phantom's new hat & hair mold include a ponytail?
  24. Huh, now that's an archetype I would've never thought of for the Collectable Minifigure theme. Cool idea!
