CMF Series 21 Guessing game.
Digger of Bricks replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'd say so. Let's put everybody 12 + 4. I will do mine too. Huh, alright then... Legendary Lumberjack (e.g. Paul Bunyan) BMX Biker Pilgrim (e.g. Mayflower colonist) Sock Monkey -

It's in his bio :) https://ideas.lego.com/profile/Figura/entries?query=&sort=top Ah, alright then, hadn't seen that before. I get the impression that a Studio Ghibli license won’t come cheap. Also, there’s a Japanese company that makes paper construction models of their IP. What's this about Studio Ghibli? I hadn't mentioned them... I know they likely had their reasons, but honestly, I can't help but be disappointed. For me, the Globe was the most boring choice they could've went with; and to make it even worse, it was the only choice they went with... It’s also worth noting the previous Avatar: The Last Airbender theme was a mere two sets (sort of the bare minimum number to qualify as a “theme”), whereas the SpongeBob Squarepants theme ran for six years and had over a dozen sets. I don’t know if the chances of a licensed LEGO Ideas proposal are affected by whether a previous theme LEGO produced from the property had a bunch of stuff done for it or not, but if nothing else, it’s clear that to whatever extent there “needs” to be LEGO material based on pop-culture entertainment properties, we “need” LEGO Avatar more badly than we do LEGO SpongeBob, and more of it, since the latter property already had far more stuff produced already than the former, and more recently as well. Not to also mention that Avatar: The Last Airbender has had something of a nostalgic resurgence in recent years thanks to people rediscovering it through Netflix and the resultant live-action miniseries they're producing in response to such. Beside resubmitted projects, I'm hoping this new precedent will give the latest Gravity Falls Mystery Shack project a much better chance in review than it would've without it, because otherwise I'm pretty sure it'd be rejected on those grounds alone. -
Off to a really great start @Robert8! I'm digging those 2x3 blueprints/instructions you gave to your take on Igor!

That was confirmed for certain? I know that the creator of the Japanese Tea Garden (another project archived alongside the Mystery Shack in the same manner) was an employee, but I hadn't heard he was too. -

The show didn't grab my attention or interest either until @figura's own Mystery Shack project was archived in the unusual way it was, so in wondering if the IP was the issue, I checked out the first few episodes of the show and got sucked in. Wouldn't have thought that it'd be up-my-alley as much as it turned out to be. So hard to predict this one. I’m going with Mary Poppins and Castle in the Forest If I had to pick three that I'd place my hopes on, it'd probably be Norders' UCS Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Astronaut Avila's Retro Bowling Alley, and @brettcuv's Iron Giant. -
We probably got a second HP CMS this year because it was supposed to coincide with the theatrical release of the third Fantastic Beasts movie much like how the first CMS coincided with the theatrical release of the second movie, except the third film was pushed back a year to November 2021. Will we see a third HP CMS for then though? Sounds unlikely if @Itaria No Shintaku says Autumn 2021's CMS is gonna be based upon IP they haven't done for the Collectable Minifigure theme yet. Besides, whenever it happens if it does, I'd rather have Disney being the first to have a third Series as far as IP-based CMS go...

We'll have to see how it'll stack-up against other projects that'll make the review, but if you ask me, it's already got a few things going for it... If approved, the final product should be able to hit shelves sometime in 2022, the year of the show's tenth anniversary. The property's fanbase is still going strong even though the show wrapped-up four years ago, if not stronger than it had been before. For instance, if it's anything to go by, the number of followers over at the show's main subreddit has more than doubled in only year and a half from around 100,000 followers to 220,000. Unless they were false, Lego may have already been interested in the IP just a few years ago, given that there were rumored to be two BrickHeadz dual-packs based upon the show that never came to be (and that may have been due more to the BrickHeadz theme scaling back rather than the IP). -
YES! Sweet...

So, how well do you guys think this project will fare in review compared to @figura's prematurely archived submission? The Brick Fan - LEGO Ideas Gravity Falls: The Mystery Shack Achieves 10,000 Supporters -

Thirty-one you say??? Dang... Given how surprisingly educational your Christmas calendar was, that "scary characters from around the world" tidbit sounds like it'll be promising just as much...

CMF Series 21 Guessing game.
Digger of Bricks replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
So here are my guesses, which are pretty much a recycled mish-mosh from previous games and wishlists... Aviatrix (e.g. Amelia Earhart) Frontiersman (e.g. Daniel Boone) Edwardian Gentlewoman (e.g. Gibson Girl) Bird Watcher Retro Space Heroine (e.g. female counterpart to S17's Retro Spaceman) Dutch Milkmaid Rag Doll (e.g. Raggedy Ann and Andy) Alpine Goat Herder Starship Captain (e.g. Star Trek's starship captains Kirk and Picard) Locomotive Engineer Noir Crimefighter (e.g. The Shadow, The Green Hornet, or SpiderMan Noir) Babylonian King -

Thanks everyone, hope to be around here more often like I used to... ...I guess the hiatus on Robert8's custom CMF was another reason I drifted away from here for awhile, so with the return of that just around the corner... Ah, alright, well I too am with you on that! Well then, you might be interested in this topic, as it's an been an annual tradition for those anticipating the next upcoming Series here on EB...

Licensed Lego Ideas - Support & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I know this doesn't need much in the way of campaigning or highlighting given that it has less than 500 supporters left to go towards achieving support (9550 supporters as of this post), but since I've been gone, I'm surprised that no one on Eurobricks has mentioned @MinibrickProductions & TopLego8's Gravity Falls project... Nice... ...will it be presented like an Advent Calendar by any chance (i.e. day-by-day posts), or just unveiled in one go?
