  1. Preferably, I'd hope to see the sets adopt a near-futuristic design which pays homage to Classic Space by lightly evoking at least the color scheme of the original sets. I could imagine that taking the form of semi-realistic shuttlecraft with a Sand Blue paint job (Light Bluish Grey meets Bright Blue) and Trans-Yellow triangular porthole windows in lieu of retrofuturistic panoramic canopies.
  2. Heh, the baseplate isn't of that much importance to me compared to the shuttle. Preferably, I'd at least wish to see a near-futuristic space shuttle with a footprint and color scheme evocative of the good ol' LL928, with some small triangular porthole windows in Trans-Yellow in lieu a full canopy and a Sand Blue paint job which fuses the Light Bluish Grey and Bright Blue of the original.
  3. I hope to someday see a space shuttle from the City theme that's evocative of the LL924/LL928.
  4. I wonder if this latest Space subtheme will retain the realism of the previous two Spaceport subthemes, or if they'll give it a little more of a Sci-Fi edge as was done with the last Arctic subtheme. I'd preferably hope to see some astronauts with a slightly more futuristic design, yet still retaining some vestiges of realism, kinda like The Martian:
  5. Nice "re-factioning" of this archetype! I must say though, I do think @Robert8's take was kinda cooler for its usage of the recolored crow as plumage, but perhaps it wasn't a part available for LDD?
  6. Over on the 2019 City topic, @Falconfan1414 has reported that the theme will be not just be returning to Space, but to the MOON!
  7. So, not only will we be seeing a return to Space as many of us expected, but they're really taking that "giant leap" too... Hey, looks like @Klaus-Dieter had it on mark! The question is, will that be for only one set or does it reflect the subtheme's overall setting? That set's name is lot more self-explainatory than 60230's (a.k.a. "spatial research and development").
  8. There's already an extensively well-established topic on this over at The Embassy.
  9. Personally, I'd love to see an Art Deco-heavy take on Emerald City based upon the one portrayed in Disney's Oz: The Great and Powerful, though I know that's quite unlikely since everything we've seen from Lego so far is rather based upon the original cinematic classic.
  10. I should mention, if there may indeed be a UniKitty movie coming as those guidelines suggest, it just could be a mere feature-length tie-in to the TV show as opposed to a further addition to WB's LEGO Cinematic Universe.
  11. That hat/hair combo of Rex's and Abe's new hat/beard combo I'm hoping to see adopted for further CMFs in the near future! Particularly, Rex's new headgear could be recolored for some potential Adventurer CMF archetype, while Abe's new headgear is just tailor-made for a Steampunk Cosplayer CMF!!!
  12. I mean, why can't these guys be more like this recent promotional one, with both dual-molding AND printing?! Brickset - Review: 5005250 Party Banana Juice Bar
  13. Interesting find, though someone replying to that tweet does mention that the LEGO Ideas guidelines fail to mention the UniKitty TV show. Therefore, it may rather be speaking of the TV show instead, presuming that they simply misnamed it as UniKitty: The Movie.
  14. You know, maybe many these CMFs wouldn't be as much of an annoyance to me if they each gave us a little something more to work with, such as a useful torso print or a new accompanying animal mold to complement their themed costumes. At least the Series 17 Rocket Suit Boy gave us a LBG Classic Space torso.
  15. For the City theme at least, that's how I'd hope it'd play out. Make the next Space subtheme a Lunar Exploration subtheme, then take the next one to Mars four years later.
  16. I'd hope to see him appear in a set rather than see a second TLM2 CMS.
  17. True, because where it stands now, the traditional CMS should be acting as our last outlet for such where playthemes/playsets currently lack thereof.
  18. Nice! I really appreciate your choice of figure for trying out the helmet. As I'd done over on the other topic...
  19. Just bringing it here...
  20. Sounds interesting! I too am eagerly awaiting a review from someone of that set, primarily to check out its new slope bricks!
  21. Ah, I see! So, how did that game touch upon that concept?
  22. Hey, Classic Pirates fans might appreciate that... Well, Eurobricks' own @cesbrick did an awfully nice build of it!
  23. For me, they're admittedly (and unfortunately) the best part of TLM2 CMS, as they're designed so adorably!
  24. Wielding an ax like that, I'm pretty sure designers must had had that in mind! ...especially after just receiving an entire series of the many faces of Unikitty and friends.
