  1. Seeing as we're on the subject of numbers, has anyone noticed that @Jim's post count has just recently gone over 10000?!
  2. Just edit-out the white in a photo editing program. (like GIMP)
  3. This looks strangely good, considering how many colors were used... Maybe get rid of the two smaller lights...
  4. Nice progress! I haven't looked at this topic for a while, and it's great to see how much you've got done!
  5. No, speed doesn't affect it - it's the torque (difference) that makes it slip. So if it was connected to a buggy motor, and resistance (torque) was applied to the output, it would slow the motor down until there was enough torque to make the clutch slip.
  6. This video (not mine) should be enough to explain it:
  7. Put simply, a subtractor combines two (or more) motors in a way that makes it easier (and simpler) to control a tank; and an adder combines the speed and torque of two (or more) motors to increase power. (however it isn't as efficient as hard-coupling, and it's harder to workout the speed/torque of the output)
  8. Have you tried comparing them to @Philo's motor chart?
  9. What type of vehicle are you thinking of building? - If you're building a normal car, then it should be easy to get enough speed (even just with a L-motor); however, if you're building a crawler, it will be harder to increase it's speed without decreasing it's crawling ability. Yes, but they all need to be geared the same. (unless you use an adder mechanism)
  10. Yeah, it kind of looks like is got the suspension from a buggy at the moment... (not that it looks bad, it just doesn't look like it's namesake)
  11. If that didn't work, try loosening all the gears that touch the wheel (and possibly others in the drive train the powers the wheel) - make sure they all turn easily.
  12. I think we might be going to far into this for this topic... I mean, there is a topic about sorting: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/26213-storage-and-sorting-lego/
  13. Ah, that should look great as a pullback.
  14. Great, not that I need it, but I'm interested in seeing what things people will come up with because of that extra time...
  15. 3. Wind-Up Box Pusher Why is this Technic guy pushing a box? Who knows... But he seems very happy! Inside the box is a 2x6 wind-up motor, which, after being geared down 1:3, moves the legs of the Technic figure, creating the illusion that he is pushing the box: This X-ray style render below shows the mechanism in detail, inside the box: And of course, the video that shows how it works: More information, link to free instructions, POV-Ray animations, and more photos on the discussion topic:
  16. Now I know why you're videos look so good - you use all the expensive stuff!
  17. That's exactly why I'm sorting! Well yes, a bit, that's why I tend to group similar parts together in the same box - so I see the other options when I get a part. I agree, I often find that I've got way more of a part than I realized! (especially when it comes to pins and axles)
  18. Does it fly? Just kidding... It looks great, and I can wait to see the video!
  19. Yeah, that's one of the problems I've got... Not to mention that I spend at least 65% of my building time looking for parts that I know I've got heaps of! (which is often something I saw 5 minutes ago - when I didn't need it)
  20. Probably at least a month or so (probably more) - I've got a lot more Lego than you think...
  21. Yeah, it's strange that topic hasn't been pinned...
  22. It is this. It's in 12 sets, from 1967-1669. By the way, there is a topic for these kinds of questions:
  23. It's a micro motor pulley. By the way, there is a topic for these kinds of questions:
