  1. Thanks Fraunces. I like how it looks too.
  2. Earlier, the Olean privateer captain Surlecoup and his aide-de-camp Mr.Fish, went to the Kingdom of Lotus to inquire about the sudden appearence of Lotii forces in El Oleonda. There, they met with an old friend, who was able to provide them with some precious information. Now, our privateers, after having joined the rest of the OL fleet, engaged in naval actions with Lotii warships. Though superior in number, the Lotii junks were ill-equipped to stand to line of battle, their bow-mounted gun (no plural, since most of the warjunks used to carry only one gun on the bow) had made their situation only worse. The commanding junk was boarded by captain Surlcoup & Co, which marked the end of this one-sided slaughter. Some of the privateer were of eastern origin, in fact they were Kojima, Haruna and Takahashi who have decided to prove their valor in combat, again.
  3. I agree with BD, the longboat looks very good. Shooting at the survivors, it's...very piratey.
  4. Nice battle scene, the shape and the colour of that junk remind me Oriental Expedition or maybe early Ninja sets, don't if you did it purposely but it's a nice rendition. One possible explanation is both sides were using mercenaries, than @KotZ just needs to mend the text a little bit, arguing that the junk was crewed by Carno mercenaries fighting for Lotus and the Lotii on the canoes were in fact OL foreign legionnaires.
  5. Fun build. Good job with thebeach, I'm liking that ship too.
  6. Somewhere in Nola Mar, people's attention were attracted by a poster affixed on an apple tree. A gentleman read out the pamphlet for the crowd, because most of them can't read, and when he's done reading, the indignant TVsans rushed to the recruitment office. Another company of proud rebels loyalists is going to join their comrades.
  7. Nice build. Good to see your company growing again. Nice minifigs posing, and that ramp reminds me of these elevated baseplates from castle sets, it gives me an idea about how to use them, thanks.
  8. You don't post very often, but when you post, it's jaw dropping. The underwater part looks really good.
  9. And those red gunports, she's definitely one of ours. @Captain Braunsfeld I like the new colour, and and it's good to see you kept the original design of the stern, which is, imho, the best part of that new Barracuda.
  10. Thank you, glad you like it. Thanks BD! There's still a lot of gaps on the hull. Thank you Fraunces, glad you like it. Thanks, for the detail, I copied them from a pic of a ship model, I find it more easier to work with a reference material than just relying on my imagination.
  11. Nice place to have a picnic. Nice palm trees btw.
  12. Named after the mayor of Dragonstone, this is the first of a series of gunboats designed to patrol the coast of this remote colony. Armed with a single gun mounted on a rotating platform, the boat can also carry a pair of swivels or alternatively, as shown here, loaded with extra troops to better fulfill anti-incursion smuggling duties.
  13. That's why I said rumour, and rumour may be misleading, we thought the Eslandolans were begging for the return for the ships.
  14. Rumours travel fast these days, sometime we don't have to spy to learn things, you know.
  15. Yay, welcome to the Kingdom of light.
  16. You are welcome Corweena. I got a lot of inspirations from mocs I saw on this forum when building this boat, so I'm glad you found the pics helpful. Thanks Keymonus. Smaller boats are fun to build. Just between us, I reckon that the time travelling project has benefited from the help of a very, very young fellow.
  17. A nice looking ship, with lots of golden decorations on the stern, typical of an Eslandolan ship, and she's flying a blue flag, that's even better!
  18. Thanks captain Becker. Concerning, the marchine gun, Oleon should always be ahead in term of technology...there's also a few starwars blasters and stormtroopers, and a tie-fighter in the background, if you haven't noticed. Thank you, glad you like it,
  19. @Corweena Here are some pics of better quality, showing that stern. Hinges were used to achieve the hull shape, which converges towards the stern, then flares out a little as you said. The rear plate where the windows are installed is connected to the hull with hinges bricks as well. It's openable, though there isn't anything inside.
  20. For moment I don't have any pic of better quality than this, I'll try to take some close-up pics when I have time. Thanks Legonaut. For the flag, well, it's not a big deal if the boat is stationary.
  21. Fun build. As other said, the diver fins work surprisingly well at this scale.
  22. @Spud The Viking Looking good! In addition to what has been said, I may suggest you to build the bow higher with white bricks, to match with the rest of ship, and you may consider to reduce the curvature amidship, usually, schooners had less pronounced curves.
  23. If you so wish, bars will be installed to these windows.
  24. Thanks Mister Phes! Thank you captain Braunsfeld.
