Bodi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I propose to run it in November, as October is reserved to Oktoberfest. -
Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II

A tournament in the middle of a conflict could be fun, the game would be intense and explosive, literally. Though let's hope the war won't last so long, if there's any. -
[SR-FB] A Short Drop and a Sudden Stop

The base looks good, so does the platform for hanging, and nice selection of minifigs. -
[OL-FB] Sister de Cloche's story - part 1
Bodi replied to Bodi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you, and I'll try to keep it updated. Thank you, and now I realised how limited is my collection for land-based mocs, time to order more parts. -
[OL-FB] Troop raising - siege mortar company
Bodi replied to Bodi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks Thaum. Now we have to find an objective to test its efficiency. Thank you Fraunces. Thank you, it's a simplistic representation of a gantry, I'm not sure if it's the correct term, a portal crane maybe? Thank you, glad you like it. -

I just expect your teams won't come to Eltina with muskets in their hands. With what is going on in Terra Versa, it's possible to see our factions opposed to each other, but I reckon a football match would be a good occasion to restore friendly relations after the resolution of this TV affair. -
[OL-FB] Sister de Cloche's story - part 1
Bodi replied to Bodi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks, and sister de Cloche knows how to concoct potions to cure the infidels. Yeah, I wanted to reflect the charitable side of the Order through this new character. No worries, just routine drill, summer is a good season for field maneouvre. -
Nice minifigs posing, the recruiting centre is unarguably the center of the show.

In a convent in Eltina, the mother superior surprised sister de Cloche with her surgeon case, apparently going to visit some patient. The mother superior, being accostumed to see de Cloche walking out of the gate nearly on daily basis to provide medical care to the destitutes, just contented to wave her hand in a sign of consentment, and said, -"Be ponctual for the late prayer, sister de Cloche." De Cloche replied "I'm afraid I won't be back soon this time, mother superior, you may send my personal belongings to my parents if you don't have any news from me in a month." After a moment of silence, the mother superior asked "May I know where you are going and the cause of this sudden departure?" "I don't know neither for now, but with all these warships in our port and all these soldiers preparing to embark, something important is going to happen." Said de Cloche. For whom who had cared for the woundeds during the Juniper War, the mother superior hoped she could find some words to persuade de Cloche stay in the convent, but finally, all she said was "Gods bless you, sister."

In the courtyard of a gun foundry, foundrymen were busying with the loading of a siege mortar on an ox cart, while an artillery officer was going to sign the factory documents.

[ESL - Ch3 - Cat D2] Not the end of the story I had imagined
Bodi replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Here are some nice microships, you've captured quite well the characteristics of the junks, even at his scale, though I'm not sure what these clamps on the bows are supposed to represent, as junks don't have bowsprits. -

Looking good. It's a down-sized version but details haven't been sacrificed, nice job. -

There fixed that for you, there was a clerical error. -
Nice piece of pistol, I like the transition between wet and dry sand, and I also wish a rebel patrol stumbles upon Mr. Ricketts in no minute.
-
Nice build! The warehouse and the tower both look very good. The water, the sand beach and the rockwork look great too.
-
I was hoping to see some scenes in which Ragnar uses the force to neutralize these clerics. The build looks good, I like the courtroom. It's recomforting to see that there's still someone who was in disagreement with the Order, this magistrate, hope he could do something to cancel this sentence.

Looks good, I like how you built the landscaping, the river bank, the vegetation, etc, and the bridge, without mentioning those proud Oleanders foreign volunteers.

Excellent writing, capt.Wolf! -
Thanks. I bought the Ninja boat set for my son a few years ago, I still got the instruction booklet to use as reference. Thanks Corweena, glad you've the section of hull in the background.

Here are some nice shots, the last one reminds me of some WWII photos. I wonder what made your men look so serious though.

Thanks Khorne! By the shaping I guess you meant the curved hull? It's just an adaption of the Destiny's Bounty's technique. The samurai accessories come from Minifig.cat.

I understand your enthusiasm in procuring OL uniforms for your guys, though anyone wearing our uniforms are expected to act properly.
