[MOC] Kaneda's bike from Akira (with instructions)
arator replied to hachiroku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I've build this wonderfull MOC as a present for the 30th birthday of my brother (who is fan of all those japanese films). Thx for sharing -
somehow this topic reminds me of "Black Books", a comic serie on BBC

I would like to see more houses. Not too fancy but like those holiday houses from the 80's. http://brickset.com/sets/theme-Town/tag-House Now you need to get houses from the creator line. They are nice, but have a nice pricetag too with their lightbricks and doorbells

I did once a (digital) version on a 6-wide monorail. I guessed cornering would be a problem, so I replaced the cornerbricks between the cars with some panels 1x2x1 sideway fixed with a half technic pin. So I created room for the motorcar to swing in. Didn't try it in real bricks though. I love your colorscheme

The car can't be too big. Parkinglot isn't big enough to make the turns

The first pictures aren't that clear so it was difficult to spot the alternating colorscheme. The form reminds me at some old ritual dagger, so I guess it's the ideal form for a sneaky attack space ship. But why call it Euroship? Are we that old and sneaky

I hope it will not rain

I got them all, Firebrigade twice

saw this video clip recently on Belgian television. Not my kind of music, but boy, what a clip

Can I have the name of the town and the name of the supermarket. Maybe it's not that from me...

Well, like I said in the openingspost, all those credits to the maker of those videos. I just found them on the net (sometimes I love the suggestions on youtube :p) A couple more 60056 Tow Truck 60053 Race Car 60058 SUV with watercraft 60060 Auto Transporter

60059 Logging Truck 60061 Airport Fire Truck 60057 Camper Van 60058 SUV with watercraft 60055 Monster Truck credits to the original poster

hmmm, logging truck is mine. I think i gonna recreate the towing truck in orange, like my other service vehicles.

I never used a ruler next to my lego, but i thought a 32x32 baseplate is like 10" x 10" or 25,5cm x 25.5cm. Just think of space it uses when you build a 3xGE or 4xGE. On that space I could build alot of other stuff
-
I've seen your Brickshelf. Some nice rolling stock
-
Nice build. Parking skills needed for placing the car though :D

Nice review, but a small correction. I think this is the 3th cement mixer, in 1985 there was set 6682. I had two of them when I was a kid, that's why I can remember there was another mixer

Maybe not that old, but it's an odd one. Served as a heavy shunter in the harbor of Antwerp and was known as "Koe en Kalf" (Cow and Calf). The calf was shunter 8275, but without a cab, so the driver could stay in the same cab during the shunting. But there is still a cab but without a roof in 8275 (plate with number on can be removed)

Combining Silver Mine Shootout and Temple of Doom tracks?
arator replied to mccool's topic in LEGO Train Tech
On the following links, you can find in which sets they have used the narrow track narrow curve : http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=85976&in=S narrow ramp : http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=85977&in=S for the straight narrow sections TLC uses : http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3228c&in=S In the silver mine they use the normal train track http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2865 as a base for a straight narrow track. Seeing the pictures of the narrow curved track, I think they can be connected with their connection points to a normal track, but the the track will be offset ofcourse -
It is easier to get the plates then bricks. Some people have above the 1000 plates. The highest count on bricks was 4. (checked on bricklink).

B-RM-09E I was planning a modular building, based on the prairie houses build by Frank Lloyd Wright, when I came by this contest. My original building was planned on a 48x48 baseplate. Damn those restrictions in this contest . At this moment it is a WIP, so I just post some LDD-printscreens. And wait on your comments. (Then I know if I need to build it in real or not ) The ground floor and basement

Sad the pictures are so small
