  1. As the Privet Drive set is based on a scene that doesn’t feature in it’s respective movie, are there any other sets of this kind?
  2. Is that a Phantom Stranger/Spectre/Lucifer thing or are there darker forces at work I’m forgetting? There’s potentially a massive hole in the logic.
  3. It intrigues me whenever someone says that DC is dying, or Marvel is way better, like they have some sort of inside knowledge. I deal in vintage comic books and where I am DC is more sought after than Marvel. You might find Marvel stuff making a bit more on a few titles, but when sourcing goods the fight is to get hold of DC. Thats what happens when you have companies with near century long histories and fanbases in different countries. @HalfBloodPrince I was being civil. There was no need to ramp up the argument.
  4. I reckon the D2C and the minifigure series would like to have a word. This has been discussed before without anyone being insulted. DC sets seem to be cyclical in that Justice League sets come out every three years. Unless you have traveled the globe recently on a toy shop/superstore sales data accumulation exercise, I’m going to go ahead and say that your opinion is based on speculation alone. If DC had a raft of insanely popular movies to back it up then it would be on the best seller list. This is all arbitrary anyway. It wasn’t that many years ago when Marvel was on the brink of folding. Now we’re at a point where the two companies will likely have to prop each other up in order to make it through this horrendous time. The staff on both sides are lobbying for a company crossover to boost sales and give their fans a glimmer of hope. There’s a lot of negative out there, you need to try and hang on to some positive otherwise this is going to be a long ride. Take care.
  5. You sir are a star. It looks excellent.
  6. To me the more annoying part is that the figure has to be a selling point otherwise they wouldn’t get included with the movie/game. Regarding the price, not everyone knows about BrickLink, and not everyone can afford midrange sets. It’s a bummer, but I remain upbeat about the chance of us getting a Black Adam figure in the future.
  7. That box art is stunning and does the set justice (yes I know). Also the Shazam figure is coming with the movie.
  8. Darn it you’re right, it’s more like his earlier appearances as part of the MSoE. If he’s the figure that’s one heck of a deep cut and far out for a choice. I doubt they would be that crass, though.
  9. It’s another missed opportunity, all thanks to...The Procrastinators!
  10. I thought that, my screens not great. It’s about time the other Super Son turned up if they are ageing Damian.
  11. Well, given that the figures with the movies have on the whole been pretty good and in a lot of cases new, a Black Adam would be an absolute dream. Time to cross the fingers and strain really hard. If that’s the Man Bat we’re getting I don’t care for the old wing mould, but I appreciate the comic book style.
  12. Golden Eagle Armour with hairmet! Nudie Cheetah! Massive golden satellite dish! An excuse for Max Lord! I’m good
  13. And Jonah Hex. There’s a good alternate theme there. No unnecessary Batvehicles or mechs, either.
  14. I wouldn’t mind a Crisis series, with sets featuring the Crime Syndicate, the Charlton characters, the DC Old West roster, Flashpoint versions, Convergence, Dark Metal, and Heavy Metal lineups.
  15. Most of the nearly one hundred pages of this thread are filled with pointless ramblings, if you want to be finicky. The arguing and wishlisting takes up a greater percentage. Talk about how the outside world could affect our escapism is surprisingly relevant.
  16. My favourite is the DC series
  17. It’s a tough one, as we got the Javelin which still remains one of my favourites, and it set the tone with Manta, Sinestro, Brainiac, etc. But it brought us the first Batmech, which was naff. 2018 was still a good run of characters and it brought some comic book vibrancy to the line. If it turns into a three year cycle of awesome then I can handle it. All I really want is for some teams to be completed, padded out of even to exist. Unfortunately I just read Villains United and started watching Doom Patrol, which really hasn’t helped my wish listing.
  18. One new character a wave is an awful lot more sucky than the JL waves. I’m really pleased to have Shazam, and I’m looking forward to Bronze Tiger, but I need a wave like 2018.
  19. They’re the original pirates but they’ve been shipwrecked for thirty years, hence the enormous moustaches.
  20. Acquiring licenses costs big money, and clearly sometimes its not a gamble worth taking. Especially if it’s an IP that they have already tried. As well as that it helps keep variety and imagination active. They haven’t done it just to besmirch you.
  21. Wasn’t there talk a while ago about all CMFs being standardised at 16 again? On the strength of that has there even been any further info on a CMF? I took the rumour lightly anyway, but it just seems to have been crossed wires with the HP series.
  22. In a more positive light, I would like to see Greg Capullo’s new Batmobile come to life.
