  1. Lego has the right to be in control of when and how their products get revealed to the world, not some YouTube no mark. I dare say that there aren’t that many companies that have such a circus surrounding leaking product reveals. They are a private company, they shouldn’t have to put just as much effort into protecting product releases as they do into the products themselves. Of course a court should entertain this, it’s an ownership and privacy issue as much as it is a copyright one. They don’t owe you anything. I appreciate that this is veering off topic, and I shall return to anticipating the sets.
  2. This is brilliant, so much detail to go through so I shall highlight the three things that made me laugh 1. the Spartans pointy man nipples (™️ Chandler Bing) 2. the goons err, exotic evening attire 3. the fact it took me ages to find Freeze in your initial photos, when he’s hiding right in the focal point Again, cracking stuff, always enjoy your builds, especially the DC ones.
  3. I’m being dim and can’t find it, does it indicate when the 230€ is due out?
  4. For those who bought full boxes, there was a crapshoot regarding how many of each figure would be in there. Some would be five per box, some one (the chase figures), and despite there being a recognised order of where to find them in the box, it didn’t always happen. 16 doesn’t go into 60, so theoretically there were three full sets and twelve others in the box. With a series of 12, they go into a box of 60, and I believe that there will be smaller boxes too. Argos in the UK are selling them for £1 each.
  5. All other accounts suggest the opposite, that the DC series sold well, and at the very least was not an epic fail. Lego gave a reason for the switch to 12 from 16, and I believe it involved acknowledging that some people buy a full box, and the new ones contain full sets rather than mixed numbers.
  6. I’m surprised it’s coming, I would have thought that it would appear when the original set did. I regret not buying it now, I really should have. I’m intrigued by the choice and I’m genuinely intrigued by whether it has any relation to the other set that’s talked about. Mainly because I stated a while back that I was all in with a ’66 Batmobile.
  7. @cosmic the AT&T thing has been a rumour for a while now, and more points in the direction of a corporate restructuring and production reshuffle than it does to them selling off DC. Comic sales in general are lower than they have been previously, the only exceptions now being the seemingly endless stream of variant covers; i.e. people are buying for resale or investment instead of for the contents. Spielberg is lined up to make Blackhawk - whether he still will is a different issue. As for what DC needs, in terms of the films, is someone with the foresight like Kevin Feige. Geoff Johns was supposed to fill that role but he has too many balls in the air to do it properly. Generally the comparison with Marvel isn’t worth it because they have a powerhouse behind them with Disney. They captured lightning in a bottle with the MCU, and there was very little DC could do to match or best it. Personally I am looking forward to seeing an Aquaman sequel that doesn’t have Amber Heard in it because Manta deserves another bite of the cherry, Black Adam because I have waited a long time to see the JSA in big screen live action, the projected interaction with Shazam, and the aforementioned Blackhawk. As for Synder’s JL, if it gets DC a few more new fans then I’m happy. If any of them help encourage someone at Lego to reconsider the lack of love towards the DC property, I will be happier still. Perhaps something without Batman in would be novel. Call me crazy.
  8. This could really benefit from better/professional images.
  9. You’d be surprised how much money there is older content. Sure Marvel is pulling in a lot more but it keeps me in pocket. I’m sticking with my original suggestion.
  10. That didn’t stop a Helicarrier being made before a minifigure scale one. I would however be happy with a large scale TDKR Bat. If it’s another Arkham I’d be interested if the roster is good. If it turns into a rehash of the usual gallery I’d pass. A GCPD would tempt me. It would surprise me if it’s not Batman themed, so I’ll reserve any deeper cuts into the DCU for now. For now I’ll stick with my original guesses, as that’s all they are.
  11. They made a Bat-Pod as a ridiculously hard to find exclusive that immediately translated into a ridiculously expensive on the secondary market set. I’ll go all in on a two way split for a 1966 Batmobile or a Jokermobile.
  12. Stands to reason, we got variations of a JL line up in the DC series. Going by your suggested roster on IG, I take it there will 12 in the set?
  13. Or the rarest of occasions where they provide a minifigure with a limb detached for the Arm-Fall-Off Guy analogue. Seriously anything other than just Batman.
  14. Now everyone has finished arguing about film ratings and content, can someone clarify what is due when?
  15. It’s the posing piece from the DC CMF recoloured, that was its debut.
  16. We have it available in the UK, I’ve just ordered it. Thanks for the reminder
  17. That’s why I said consider at the end of year, because the first was being leaked at the end of the year. i.e. it might start to be leaked for 2022. I’m not expecting it this year.
  18. I look forward to the prospect of more Junior sets, more expensive big sets I’m not overly excited about, and movie tie-in sets not happening. On the upside there is the possibility of a (reduced) CMF to consider at the end of year. Come on Lego, show some love over here. There’s so much potential that doesn’t involve Batman, or if it must, look to the Silver Age for a bit of fun.
  19. Glad to see Jack Kirby getting some love, here’s hoping his estate gets something out of it. If the Fourth World film gets as much attention I will be very happy.
  20. Well, it’s my son’s 7th birthday today and we got him the starter set as we’ve been building up the polybags. He was and is absolutely over the moon about it, it’s by far the Lego set that he’s played with the longest and gone back to, which for an ADHD kid is quite something. He loved every aspect of it, and there wasn’t any talk of the size of Mario or no minifigures, just the joy of play. I don’t know if anyone has raised this or not, but one clever feature is that Mario recognises the colour of the ground he’s on, ie on blue he “drowns” and on red he “burns”. Overall a bonefida hit.
  21. Yeah, you’re right, it’s ok with Hush Batman. If they make a second CMF and give us OG Superman I would anticipate him having them, and I would be ok with that because his trunks are big, not the budgie smuggler of later years.
  22. I’d say that the belt is gold, but as you say with a blurry image it’s hard to be certain. I’m not a big fan of the bat trunks, but it’s difficult to portray trunks on a minifigure without them looking oversized. I don’t like the hammer, but I agree that the umbrella is a good idea. Could it be executed better?
  23. Instagram legoleaks hashtag. It’s one of the minifigure shaped blister packs with Batman, Harley, and Penguin with a build, much like the Knightmare and GCPD ones.
