  1. Red hair, anger issues and a nasty streak. It was only a matter of time. Between the first four Earth GLs they have held all of the spectrum rings, including the newest one.
  2. Well, to remain in keeping with the series we have, here is my two cents: 1. Batman Beyond 2. Wonder Girl (Donna Troy) 3. First appearance Superman 4. Red Lantern Guy Gardner 5. Rebirth Wally West 6. Flashpoint Aquaman 7. Grid 8. Star Sapphire 9. First appearance Bizarro 10. Speedy 11. B’Wana Beast 12. Glorious Godfrey 13. Giganta 14. Mr Terrific (Michael Holt) 15. Eclipso 16. Toyman I realise I’ve gone heavy on the legacy characters, but if they are in the business of variants over new characters then it limits the possibilities. Toyman is in there to be the short legs placeholder.
  3. There is a purist custom thread for licensed figs somewhere. You would have to trawl through pages but I’m pretty sure that ‘66 characters have been done by a few people.
  4. I really enjoyed building it, and the Batwing fitting in as an added bonus helped. That build is underrated as well. Number one on my white whale list.
  5. Totally agree with that, I know I sucked at schoolwork but excelled at my pastimes. I fear this may be an age issue, as ten years ago I had little issue knowing my DCU. However they have the cheek to keep adding people and writing new stories
  6. There’s a reason I have the DC character encyclopaediae and the comic book database app on my and even then there are huge gaps and I can only remember so many before my brain pops.
  7. D’oh! Missed Baz. Still, more thought projection required!
  8. Toyman, Heatwave, Giganta, Metallo. Interesting how in reality we got 10% of our collective wish list. We clearly need to be louder
  9. Dick Grayson was in two Super Heroes sets round about the same time in different outfits, one based on the Teen Titans cartoon, the other based on his New 52 suit. He was in the first Batman Juniors set in a naff suit. He’s also in the 1960s Batcave set a la Burt Ward and the TLBM sets with the big glasses. We got Nightwing before we got Robin. 5 Robins and 3 Nightwings with another on the way. Jason didn’t turn up as a Robin until one of the Juniors sets. We got Red Hood before we got Robin. One of each. Tim Drake was made first in his original outfit and then his post Infinite Crisis outfit (red and black). He was also in the second Arkham set in something of a Red Robin guise, and in a scuba suit with the Black Manta set. We got Tim before we got anyone else. 5 Tims. Any Robin with short legs is Damian. 3 Damians.
  10. TLBM2 could have been saved by Samurai taking a spot, some of the Batsuits that they used in other media which were screaming to be realised, and one of the Wonder Twins getting the small monkey mould recoloured as Gleek. We could have had 1st app Cyborg as well, replacing some of the more goofy variations of the main cast. It may well have been the germ that led to this series, of course. If it leads to a second series I’m happy. My only request would be more varied villains and more of the out-there characters like Metamorpho and Star Girl.
  11. @Lionbear8 something like this? I’ve always felt that a more subtle and nuanced approach to crime fighting was necessary
  12. Come to think of it I’d like to see the claw piece that appeared in the LB games for Bronze Tiger, maybe even Cheetah. And as they deliberately dipped out last time, a Man-Bat that looks like he could actually fly.
  13. Well at least the Wonder Woman set isn’t a carbon copy of its predecessor. I’m going to have to bite the bullet and get that one as well. Unless Bats has a much improved stellar scuba suit then that set will be bottom of the list. Another Joker and Batmobile set. Again there’s got to be a significant redesign of Joker. Mobile Batcave thing sounds good, hopefully with updated Batgirl (domino mask anyone?). Bronze Tiger? Brings the Squad numbers up.
  14. I genuinely hope this becomes a reality because the TLBM vehicles look vast compared to regular sized ones. For example a police car that can seat two up, two back would be a welcome sight. The GCPD car was even more annoying when there was a perfectly good version in the film and in publicity shots.
  15. No, there was a wave last year that culminated in a really popular D2C, this year started with a CMF that appears to be selling well - in my local supermarket there were two bags left last weekend - and there is a wave coming. DC is going to have its time to shine in cinemas in the next couple of years, and even if there aren’t direct tie-ins there will be related sets of some of them. Unless superheroes suddenly drop off kids’ collective radar it’ll be fine.
  16. Pokemon is a totally different kettle of fish because of how the ownership is shared/not shared by Nintendo. I don’t see any chance of that theme happening at all. As for how protective they are of their product, I would consider that a grey area given what tat you see on shop shelves. I don’t know enough about Link/Zelda to comment on whether it would prove popular. As for moulds for Mario, they seem to be veering away from head moulds anyway, but I would play my Trolls card as an example of new parts and moulds in a risky new licensed wave.
  17. you talking about Garfield sets is not speculation because you made it up a few posts back. However if you want to be literal about the topic title then carry on about Garfield, I’ll say no more. If Nintendo sets happen and coincide with a film then the existence of said film will have been a deciding factor, even if it was a small one. If Illumination go to Nintendo and say, “how about putting Mario on the big screen again?”, then it’s not many meetings away from the merchandise discussion.
  18. Nope, speculation is thinking that there could be Super Mario sets because Illumination are making the film and they have worked with Lego before. Rumour is saying or hearing that those sets are coming. The person who started this is speculating that the sets could happen, but they haven’t yet started the rumour that they are happening.
  19. I think if we were going to get new characters the hint from Falconfan wouldn’t have been as downbeat. Honestly there are so many untapped characters it’s not even funny. My wish list doesn’t seem to have an end and I can’t justify the prices for some of the custom figs on the market. Fingers crossed that there’s a couple of new faces coming.
  20. Lego poop collectors: third most populous poop-based community after archaeologists and scatologists.
  21. As long as there’s someone/something new in the lineup. There’s got to be some incentive for longtime fans to want them.
  22. There’s a thread in Licensed Topics for Ideas good luck with your idea.
  23. Not sure I consider this a fair trade.
  24. Has anyone got to the bottom of why some figures come in a bag in a bag? Having gone through most of the series there doesn’t seem to be rhyme nor reason for it, likewise who gets one posing stand and who gets two. Regarding the forthcoming set, are Lego really going to be that dull and make a Wonder Woman set with her, Steve Trevor, a villain and a plane? I mean it seems likely but I really wish it wasn’t, unless there’s some ironic retrospective nod to borderline cloning themselves.
  25. If it is and they put some effort into the jet, I’ll be happy. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a DC vehicle not related to Batman that was any cop. The Javelin remains one of my favourites. And if the Cheetah render is good I’ll be doubly happy.
