LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 9 Rumours & Discussion
Blacktron replied to muscleman's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I just wanted to write the same. I've compared the blue, green and orange robot head to the CMF one and it's different. It seems the CMF one is a new mold. Also, when I look very closely at this helmet/head, I'm not sure if this are one or two pieces. The Galaxy squad ones are all one piece, but on the CMF one there seems to be a regular head underneath this helmet. -
When I take a look at some of the european websites, they say the release date for galaxy squad is April 2013. Is it really possible that we still have to wait so long in europe? If they are already released in canada, I was hoping for January 2013 in europe. Also, if someone finds out more about "30230 Galaxy Walker" please post. It's still doubtful if this is a 1st wave set or not.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
Blacktron replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It's more like this: Robot -> Evil Robot -> Female Robot -> Female Evil Robot Mech -> Evil Mech -> Female Mech -> Female evil Mech Android -> Evil Android -> Female Android -> Female evil android But I don't have a problem with any of the robots released so far. I bought all of them. So keep them coming, TLG. I think this list of series 11 sounds very good and I like it much more than series 10. Yeti, Evil Mech, Lady Robot, Holiday elf, Scarecrow and Scientist all sound very promising. How about a new astronaut, TLG? I'd love to see a red, yellow or blue version. But my ultimate wish come true would be a female companion to the Series 3 space villain. -
That is a fascinating kind of leak. But I'm not very impressed by these new figures. Medusa might be the only one I'll buy from this series. Not a single space figure. The paint ball guy features a nice new helmet, that might be useful for space. But with this paint on it, it's useles for me. Well, in that case I can save some money to buy Galaxy squad sets next spring.

Well, I think it is difficult to build other squads, because of the printed legs and unique squad logos on their chest. Also I miss the air tanks on these astronauts very much. But I like these guys. They are the ideal opposite faction to my neo blacktron MOCs. I would love to troop build the blue and red squad. I'm not sure about the orange squad. I won't buy this set, because I don't like the vehicle design that much and the I'm not a fan of those orange astronauts. I wish they had chosen purple and a regular green, instead of this light green and bright orange. Also I'm not impressed by the orange robot. My favorite one is the sand blue robot, which is in the smallest set. I'm very curious about the design used for the next minifigures wave.

I think I really like the red squad members the most. I hope 30230 Galaxy Walker will be the smallest set and not a ultra rare polybag. Also it would be great if it would feature a red human squad member. This would be perfect for army building.

If these prices are in canadian dollars, this would explain it. I did a quick google search for the euro prices and they seem to be okay. Thanks Venkefedo!

+ This is a realy great new space theme. Much better than alien conquest was. + I like the new alien conquest robots. It's great that there aren't only 4 colors available, even the heads are very different, so these guys become individuel characters. + The insectoid aliens are great. I love those new head sculpts, plus the fact that not every alien uses the same head. + I love those insectoid design of the ships and vehicles. Much better and creepyer than the classic insectoids line was. + The ground vehicle of galaxy squad (green team) is my favorite one. Great vehicle and the mech looks also great. + It's great to see this new helmet in differnt colors. - These galaxy squad figures look a little naked somehow. No body armor? Not even air tanks? Come on TLG, it's time for a new space backpack. The original air tanks are frome the late 70s. But in new, matching colors they would have been a good choise. - I really don't like 70705 (orange team). The vehicle design isn't very exiting. - I would have loved to see the classic space logo on these torsos and vehicles. :-( - The prices. $14,99 for the smallest alien set with just 86 pieces? Exo force sets in 2008 had 170-200 pieces for the same price. Man, this line is expensive! The biggest set (orange team - $ 100) doesn't really look like a $100 set. 711 pieces for $100? Come on! For this piece count it should be $70 or $80.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 9 Rumours & Discussion

Okay, now we know 3 out of 16. The chicken suit guy is a sure pass for me. I wonder what these feathered arms will be useful for in the future? I can't think of many possibilities. Maybe I'm just a little bit jealous. There is enough money for new molds of Chicken wings, Pretzels etc. But at the same time Lego Space uses the same air bottles for its astronauts since the late 70s. -
Wow! I love this guy. Thanks very much, CM4S!

I grew up with all the TMNT cartoons and movies. But I try not to be nostalgic. And I think the new show is the best incarnation so far. It's atmosphere is very close to the original comics. It is really good animated, very funny and the characters are great. I've just compared it to some of the old cartoon episodes and I think this new incarnation is much better. ...but I don't like the Lego sets very much. The minifigures are cool, but I don't like the design of the vehicles and sets. If there would be a minifigure pack, it would be very hard for TLG to sell the other sets.

Someone started to talk about the cusoo Marines project, Starship troopers and the CMF Galaxy patrol and then this whole thing became unstopable. I'm happy Galaxy squad is different than most expected it to be. I prefer real characters over generic troopers with fierce face expressions. It's for kids, it should'nt be to dark.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Blacktron replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I've read a message on a german news site, that Lego has some problems with the distribution for the christmas season. The news said, that friends is a stronger seller than they've expacted and they would have a tough time, trying to deliver enough stock. A lego spokesman said people should try to buy their christmas presents early, because there might not be enough for all. I really have no idea if there is a connection to the CMF line. But I really have a hard time, trying to find series 8 here - and I never had any trouble finding the past series. -
Previous Minifigures series will be released again next year
Blacktron replied to JeagerEX's topic in Special LEGO Themes
This topic should be closed, because it could confuse people. It's not confirmed news or even rumors, it's just wishful thinking. Hey, I could start a thread. "Masters of the universe Line from Lego in 2013! New series will start together with the new Teenage Mutant ninja turtles line." -

I can't find it in germany either. I keep on checking the stores in my area since beginning of september. I've never experienced something like that with the past waves of CMF. The furtune teller and battle mech are the other two figures that I'm most curious about, too. -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 9 Rumours & Discussion

I agree with you, guys. I believe this Alien Trooper is real. It's Legos policy to give previous Minifigures a counterpart or companion. This guy is clearly the arch enemy of the galaxy patrol. But I don't like it very much. It's a better choise than another Alien conquest figure, but on the other hand it's a 1:1 recycling of the galaxy patrol without a single new part. -
I like this theory very much! The new bad guys remind me of the insectoids line too. Also the different colored heroes remind me of classic space. I even hope, we will see classic space logos on their torsos, just like all the astronauts of the CMF line had. I think it's not a coincidence that they remind us of insctoids and classic space. The Lego designers are wll aware that there are a lot of AFOLs out there. Maybe even they are fans of those classic lines, like we are. There are often little gags for nostalgic AFOLs included in the official lines, just like my avatar minifigure shows. A few month ago we were spaculating about the future of Lego Space. A few members wrote that they wish there would be a cool new line, serving as a platform to connect to other following Lego Space lines. Just like you wrote: Just imagine Galaxy squad vs. UFO, Galaxy Squad vs. Blacktron and so on. This would be a dream come true. The only problem about this theory might be the sales. It seems, after the re-introduction of Lego Space, none of these lines was very successful. I doubt Galaxy squad will stay longer than a year, but I hope and pray it will be very sucessful.

I just wanted to ask the same question. I always thought a squad would consist of four soldiers/trooper/space heroes whatever. So I thought a red, blue, green and orange unit would be all. A quick wiki search teached me I was wrong on this one. Squad doesn't mean 4. I love this concept for this new line. Not just average astronauts, but charakters with names and personalities, many new astronauts in different colors to look forward to, cool insctoid enemies. This really sound like a cool new line. If the sets/vehicles also look great, I might buy the whole line next year.

I love it! The insect bad guys look just like I've imagened them from the description. Very cool! I was hoping they would go for black, but green/lime for those guys and their ships is okay, too.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 9 Rumours & Discussion
Blacktron replied to muscleman's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm only into Sci-Fi and horror stuff, so the alien trooper and Mech would be the only 2 figures interesting me. But... - Alien trooper: We already had a light green alien with beam gun, a grey alien with beam gun and a alien queen with beam gun in series 8. Okay, this could be a leftover of the cancelled Alien conquest line, but another alien sounds a little boring. If this turns out to be true, I hope it is at least not another Alien conquest figure. With the queen just in the last series, this would be lame. - Mech: I really have no idea. A battle mech is not a robot or cyborg, but more of a vehicle. Big, walking machine, with a pilot in it's cockpit. So this won't make any sense as a CMF. -

I keep looking out for series 8 since the beginning of September. I've visited a lot of stores but I didn't find any. I've experienced in the past that the new figures were released a little late, but this time it's extreme. Available for 4 month, 2 of them already gone. Does anyone in germany also have a hard time finding them? -
That would be nice. But I believe a tag on the New York Comic Con Display showed, that the Shellraiser set will be $60. So, collecting all 4 turtles will be expensive
-
I think the wolfs and the ravens will become my favorite factions. Next would be the eagles. I'm not so sure about the Crocs and the Lions. I don't know - these lions simply scream Thundercats to me.
-
My dream license would be Masters of the universe. It looks like a movie will happen in the next few years. Maybe this would be a chance for TLG to buy the license. But I think mattel will try to sell their own toys and wouldnt want any competitors. So I believe this will never happen. Well thats what MOCing is for.

I have to say, I'm already a fan of the new show. I knew turtles in the 80s, but I've never been a fan or bought action figures of them. Now, after seeing the first four episodes of the new show - I love it! But I don't understand Legos policy about introducing the new products to the fans. When will the lego line start? The show is a success already and the playmates figures are available right now. So I think Lego has to hurry. If the line starts january, why still no pictures of all the product? I expected to see more sets at New York comic con. Showing only 1 set to the puplic is a little disapointing.
