  1. the mclaren f1 car set compressed the front springs in a simular way and that seems fine
  2. New part, it's like part 18677 but 1 module longer and without semi hollow studs:
  3. Looking forward to seeing this . I don't think I've seen a model that used two spike prime/robot inventor hubs before.
  4. Hi all, So, this thread is to include our MODs of set 42154 FORD GT. Here are some of my thoughts: • Lowered suspension in order to make the gap in the wheel arches less pronounced (but I also want enough suspension travel to be at least noticable) • HOG on the steering wheel. • Replace some blue/gray/whatever pins and axles with black pins/axles. ----Much later on---- • Steering via spike prime small angular motor. • Drive (not sure what motor is both best yet, obviously space is at a premium in this set, but I also don't want a crawler GT40. • Maybe a small 2 speed gearbox, non RC probably. There is almost every part in LDRAW to at least build it, but its tedious, and it would take longer than march 1st, where I would already have the set in real life. Regards, Snipe
  5. I wonder if it is possible to use a spike prime small angular motor as a servo with a buwizz2 and an adapter cable from PV productions. Maybe @kbalage can test this? I could use a buwizz 3 but I'm limited by space
  6. I have one of these parts and they are not 1L unfortunatley, but around 0.8 or 0.9L thick which makes it pretty much useless to be incorporated into a technic moc
  7. New curved technic panel in trans light blue:
  8. looks like someone reviewed it edit: nope , never mind. it's just a premere video of a load of babble)
  9. Is there a way to use some black parts to hide the gap in each side of the bonnet? I know they are supposed to be holes but they show color vomit parts under it, so maybe place some black parts under the holes but still as part of the bonnet assembly
  10. Well, if you look at the connector pinhole with 2 pins that they are connected to, the connectors are way lighter gray than the pin 2L with bush Even more weirdly is the fact that the pins don't go anywhere else, they just go into the connector with 2 pins and thats it. I don't think I've seen that in an official lego technic set yet. Maybe lego star wars did it but that's not my forté
  11. Yey! black shock absorbers on the front too also looks like we get at least 2 of these in flat silver: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=32054&colorID=95&in=A I wonder if the steering wheel rotates as well as the HOG dial
  12. Can we update the part names so that they show the part ID next to the names, if you mouse over a part in the parts bin. I know you can just drag a part into the workspace and look at the status bar but that is time consuming. There is a tooltip if you mouse over a part in the parts bin so perhaps just add it there. you could probably make a script that does it for each file automatically. EDIT: Also it would be nice if many parts were not placed relative to the LDD floor, at 0.5L offset by default (when dragging parts from the parts bin to the build window). I was looking at technic thick lift arms and some were alighted to the floor whilst others were 0.5L off set) All the beams were oriented with the holes facing the same direction also, so the parts orientation isn't what caused it Regards, SNIPE
  13. Anyone know if these two parts fit together? Also the upcoming stuntz sets have the small hoop pieces {77107} in lime, in purple and in orange, I thought the orange was bigger but I think its just photo editing trickery on lego's image(s).
  14. Here is what I meant, though this is really nit-picky anyhow: part IDs are; 4770 and 58176
  15. No idea, there is a version of this part without the bar
  16. What about putting one of these inside of each 6Lsuspension arm: It would hold the suspention arm on the 5L beam slightly better since the axle is replaced with a frictionless pin
  17. I tried this part in the sians paddle shifter as an alterative to the 24T gear and the four pin+1L beams. It didn't work however :/
  18. I like this idea, but wouldn't it be better to just have an insert that meshes 2 clutch gears (needs to work on every lego part that contains a female clutch) Think of it as like what is sticking out of your clutch gear designs but twice as thick and its own part. Yes but make it a pinhole
  19. So, currently, to produce every part in this thread will cost around 6 billion euros 😶 All I have is 45 pence.
  20. 1x8 thin beam, 1x1 thin beam, 3x4 thin beam
  21. I think that was just a place holder because the green 20 tooth clutch spur gear wasnt in bricklink studio before
  22. The "nut" brick that pairs with this part cannot slide by hand, only by rotating the "nut" brick itself I got this information from a video review of the set it comes in. Anyway, I think that makes it probably more useful otherwise it will just be a pain in the butt if it could move under its own weight. A motor vibrating would just move it, etc, etc
  23. That fresnel lens piece would indeed look awesome if used as headlight If it was redone in say, red, it would function as like a 2x3x2/3 double slope
  24. Anyone have the LDRAW model for the CADA version?
