cant you just put some black pneumatic T pieces / fire hose nozzles in the barhole of some pins. This is a tight fit , probably too narrow to even get a tile in there because the panel is in the way. send the digital model and ill have a look- 5,465 replies

Use a 2L bar with 2 tile 1x1 with clip. Cutting hoses used to be legal, before lego started making pre-cut hoses, the instructions required you to cut them. Im fairly sure that the new minifig prosthetic hand is basically a round 1x1 tile with a raised clip too, so try 2 of those if the 1x1 tiles dont work, or scroll thru the ldcad parts bin (do a search for: .) with the official and unofficial parts libraries installed. Something should turn up if you have an open mind and don't judge part capabilities too much.- 5,465 replies

I think its the same wheel just rotated 180 degrees and doubled up while holding the same tires as on the VW TW campervan. So the wheel is more recessed on one side, and flatter on the other- 5,465 replies

8880 - Issues with build
SNIPE replied to Verengard's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That sounds normal to me for a lego transmission. because the engine in a real car drives the wheels unless its in neutral, but here the wheels are driving the engine, but its in neutral. -

I hope this set is NOT like that because then how do you have a gearbox, how do you have a center diff, how do you have the shifter mechanis, how do you have a DNR selector, how do you have a hi/low range selector, how do you have anything interesting... Might as well just buy 42099 in that case -

I agree , I don't know why people just whine that 42110 has "too many gears". Its technic. Yes its a shame they slip in certain circumstances but thats no reason not to try. What do people expect them to do? make a boring model that only looks good?! how is technic supposed to evolve by removing functions!? -

Nice to see a new part, but wont the steering link just get pushed up over the ball joint with bar with pin? (unless its like the old 6L links (still possible but harder) / 9L links (impossible))- 5,465 replies

42182 NASA Apollo Lunar Rover
SNIPE replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I know this will sell quite well. but it isn't for me even with the huge tyres, I like howit folds up and still has steering and suspension however. -
Nice little set, idk if the cabin can flip up like the arocs, but if theres no engine under it (shame if not) then i guess it doesnt need to flip up that much. Also a 5th wheel for the first time in a technic model that is actually on a linkage to open/lock it. Also liking the use of the narrow tyres for the first time in a technic set, and how they're doubled up. Doesnt the excavator have a 3 piece boom, yet somehow only has 2 cylinders? Trouble is aside from the tyres on the trailer and the wheels used for the fuel tank, I can build this from my own parts, but we'll see when the parts inventory is released...
