  1. per side you would have a shock absorber and a linear actuator, but the actuator goes to a different place compared to where the shock absorber goes to, so therefore it does not compress the shock absorber nor does it limit it from compressing
  2. I guess you could replace one shock abroeber on each side with a medium linear actuator, for the adjustable ride height, however a worm gear arrangement may be better (with lots of bracing). The actuator should not compress the spring, and only change the wishbone angle.
  3. Just realized that the new wishbones can accomodate 2 of the largest shock absorders, steering, and drive axle!
  4. I wonder if we can cram a mechanism to change the wing angle like in the technic ford GT.
  5. it would be nice to see this set or the Kawasaki have more gearbox speeds using the orange wave selector with the new 2L clutch rings, 24 and 12 tooth clutch gears and maybe the new knob wheels and stepper wheel. the new orangd selector fork and drum (orange or blue version) takes up too much space imo.
  6. So, this happned when taking apart the Icons mclaren MP4/4: So, i'll probably complain to lego that the ball sockets are a little too tight
  7. agh I wanna build this pimped up chassis so bad and try to add adjustable ride height but im busy working on my 42177 MODs so ill have to wait... feel free to try and add it yourself though!
  8. oh my agod: think of the possibilities with this nut trick!!
  9. The 1x1 technic bricks are in the way so I cant put the clips there. A bracket I cannot get to fit, I did try using the 1x1 bracket which is 2L high but the spacing for the binoculars is probably 1 brick apart not 1L
  10. im not sure what part 29874 is but unfortunatley there must be a 1x4 tile on top so putting the hole over a stud wouldnt allow for the tile, and also there is a technic axle in front of the bricks on the side where the bars are and this would also not allow for a bracket or minifig vest such as 42446 I tried putting a flag square with 2 clips (2335) but despite being too awkward to get sitting clush with the bricks, it also was not long enough for both binoculars.
  11. Hi, I'm working on some 42177 MOD's and was wondering if there was a part which fits in the antistud of minifig binoculars However it must also not replace the technic 1x1 bricks, or the clips I dont think its 1 plate as thats too big, but half a plate also seems wrong: Here is the .ldr file, I want this because the bars can rotate which makes the bars which are not in clips not be flush with the bricks/plates behind it... So, putting something behind the binocolars would solve this problem since the bars are very close together anyway. Regards, Snipe
  12. I'm gonna try to add adjustable ride height, it will require a lot of bracing but ive seen 3 other MOCs which use these shock absorbers and still have adjustable ride height.
  13. I have 4 of these parts yes however they may pull out, it has the same clutch power as a standard axle You can get more clutch power by using 2 half bushes or 2 thin 1x2 beams You do know that the newer mould of the pinhole with pin 1L has less friction than the older mould right? You could use the small linear actuator as long as it doesn't have too much load on it so that it starts actuating rather than just spinning in place.
  14. have you been using them outdoors? could be sand stuck inside the hubs
  15. I think the gearbox could have been massivley simplified using the old orange changeoocer catches, the old and new knob wheels, and the 24 toooth clutch gear and 12 tooth clutch gear.
  16. New curved bricks available (5907, 5906) I made a ball out of them but didnt want to put the clutch cutouts together because the hole would be even bigger: LDR File And the internals:
  17. Im amazed at LEGO sometimes, I bought this set and 42177 which came to like £389.98 and didn't get my free set, so I rang customer service and they said that the free set offer was on aug1 where as I made the order in like 27th of july. Fine, but at least give me some sort of free set... But I decided to return my unopned 42175 and buy it again + the white koenigsegg jesko which made the order high enough to qualify for the free set...
  18. https://www.lego.com/en-gb/service/buildinginstructions/42177?marketfallbackfrom=en-fr still only book 2
  19. Good point, I would prefer no slot because if you have say a blue pins it shows through and the models bodywork can look bad. I can't think of a pin that would have an impossible connection anyhow, stud pins would be a little harder to get out but this is not specific to this part, some pinholes are not thru-hole anyhow. like on motors or panels.
  20. Still only book 2/2 on the lego instructions website.. Oh well ive finished book 1 so
