  1. Agree. And on that score, noticed there’s only 4 unknown (Wave 3) sets with refs. 70433/4/5/6 listed by Brickset. I hope less is more and we get 4 excellent sets instead of the usual 5 or 6 where most are ok to mediocre.
  2. @pooda Says someone who hasn’t been obviously. You couldn’t be more wrong... Public transport in the UK is possibly the worst example you could have used. The entire dystopian infrastructure is constantly at crumbling point, the buses and trains are unreliable, late, prone to adverse weather, filthy, overcrowded and expensive. It’s not for no reason the roads are gridlocked as it’s still the preferable option for the vast majority of the car-loving nation. It’s much more akin to @koalayummies view of of LA transit than your (understandably) rose-tinted experience of happy clappy bus driving around DC. Now, places like Switzerland, Netherlands, Japan...yes, they have excellent public transport.
  3. One thing has nothing to do with the other. HS will be gone regardless, probably after wave 3 next summer/autumn.
  4. It did, right up until the truly awful 3rd year wave 4 “vampire/virus/byter” crap which gathered cobwebs (and still does!) everywhere.
  5. Issue 3 of the HS magazine now out - comes with standard Parker minifig. No further clues as to El Fuego’s apparent demise. Next issue 4 (Jan 8) comes with El Fuego (alive not skeleton) and fire extinguisher/flames.
  6. Kids, ghosts, school bus...in a nowhere town? No secret that HS borrows heavily from GB and Scooby Doo.
  7. Very nice MOC. Yes the clunky corner roof looks off and isn’t a perfect solution, but it’s a tough problem to solve. Interior pics?
  8. Very brief look in yesterday and saw lots of baseball bats.
  9. Jumper plate and new trans stud to create a new one-legged “action pose” for display purposes. Yeah I know, but guess they have to somehow justify the price increase with a straight face.
  10. A VERY easy pass for me. Says it all the only mild interest concerns two accessories...the fluoro-green/Hidden Side fish and amber/trans-orange claw. And at 4.99, I’m glad about that
  11. I meant the film was a disaster, which consequently meant the licensed sets ending up gathering cobwebs in many stores. And yes, the same happened with The Lone Ranger. That's what Lego messed up, thinking all Disney A&A movies would simply repeat the success of Pirates of the Caribbean, and they would sell shed loads of licensed sets on the back of that.
  12. Echo that sentiment!
  13. If anyone still wants to pick up the School, it’s 45% off today on Amazon at just £61.99...
  14. There’s so much wrong in this rant, I don’t know where to begin. HS was never aimed at the AFOL market, and yes, it’s far from perfect but there’s some interesting elements and kids (you know, the target demographic) love the theme. My son and his friends certainly do. We can agree to disagree on EB but please stop presenting such ill-informed angry opinions as facts.
  15. I think it’s exactly those. Shame if true as the theme has a lot of story potential for a proper TV series.
  16. Already posted this a couple of pages back the listing has been up a while
  17. Guess not
  18. I'd bet they'll have black heads if only to save on cost.
  19. In the UK, issue 3 is out 11th December, which makes it three issues in just 10 weeks. But I can see them moving to quarterly from January to be fair. Sorry for my misunderstanding thinking you were saying only 4 issues in total. That last one in October 2020 coincides with the possible mooted end of the theme.
  20. My thoughts also. It’s more likely loose interpretation than based on any as-yet-unseen battle scene. Would have preferred to see something more aligned with the rescue of the Child scenes but hey ho...
  21. Link? I think that’s highly doubtful, it has a monthly print run of at least 10 months, to just after next summer which may be the final wave 3 sets. As for beyond that who knows, but they’ve only just put out the final Nexo mag, well over a year since the theme was retired.
  22. The Anubis minifigs were great, recall a battle pack with them and winged mummies too. Personally I think Amset Ra (the pharaoh in question) is pretty cool, what with his alternate gold face and all.
  23. Nice set as a stand-alone, but clearly nothing to do with the actual Mandalorian battle scene in ep3. Which is a bit disappointing to say the least. As they say, it’s not despair but the hope that kills you.
  24. Another PQ fan here. I was lucky in picking up the Pyramid set for a song. The look on my then-5 year old’s face that Christmas was epic, pure speechless joy. He still rates it his “best set” and regularly gets it off the shelf to play with, of course it’s been added to with various elements, different coloured scorpions and ancient historical minifigs from the CMF series (Egyptian, Romans etc.). Likewise Atlantis (City of Atlantis set). This was Lego at its best, fantastic non-licensed historical A&A sets. Then they effed it up with that licensed disaster that was Prince of Persia.
  25. Nice micro representation of a 300SL Good luck...although it'll be tough to beat the Black Arrow.
