    True to an extent but equally it would show up just how lazy they were with the shark. Agree. It doesn’t look anywhere near CMF accessory quality to me.

    Agreed, it’s massively disappointing. A spring green shark would have been more appropriate, similar standout to the tan crocodile we got in the first wave.

    Zero interest in HP, but interesting they’re using that sparkly trans blue again for a new animal mould. With it being much smaller and just a single cast, there’ll be none of the criticism I read about having ugly visible joints on the stag.

    Looks very much like it, similar to various CMF figs (space, miners, hazmat etc.). Just curious but why would you hope not? What purpose would having a removable visor have?

    It’ll be the identical stingray. The polybag pic is very low res and just looks darker.

    The two “presentations” aren’t mutually exclusive, in fact I’d say they go hand in hand. My boy is typically fascinated by anything to do with sharks and ocean creatures generally. He’s also hugely interested in in ocean and animal conservation (which the NatGeoKids mags are great at exploring) whilst he’s spent countless hours building up an undersea MOC out of Atlantis, Aquaman and various other aquatic parts and minifigs. Lego is a toy and as a kid, he also loves nothing more than battling divers v sharks (especially the big sharks including the zombie one where you can see the minfigs “eaten” inside!). I like the shark cage idea though, albeit more for its play value. *edit* Also good to see clearer pics of the new glowing anglerfish, which seems very likely is now destined for Hidden Side submarine set, also this summer.

    Looks like there’s more of a consensus that the new GITD anglerfish (new clearer pics leaked) is for the HS Submarine set than City Divers (since we’ve now seen new stingray, hammerhead and great white sharks for that theme).

    Thought it too but dared not say it for fear of jinx! It was after all supposed to be released in the summer 2018 City Arctic sub-theme. As for the NatGeo partnership, I could see special issue or dual packs of the NatGeoKids / LEGO City magazines...

    The printing and helmet on that diver looks awesome! Also, not sure where she fits in exactly (probably another theme entirely ) but like the look of the blonde ponytailed girl with grey tracksuit/sling bag that leaked alongside diver.

    Exactly my thinking...a whole “fever” of stingrays (yes I looked it up!) Hard to fault my son’s logic on seeing these leaks “why can’t Lego just release these sets early now to cheer everyone up?”

    Loving the dark/light grey GWS...the City Deep Sea/Divers sets can't come soon enough! As for the stingray polybag (with coral and diver), I’d say no way they’d put a new animal in a €5 poly...but with the NatGeo co-promo, I believe it

    Perfect for Aquaman to bestride. Less so for a City or similar minifig you'd think (shades of Steve Irwin). Great pics by the way, rays of all species are such elegantly beautiful creatures in our oceans - can't wait to see this City Divers subtheme (and mashing it up with our City of Atlantis set, complete with Manta Ray warrior minifigs!)

    Even a recolour octopus would be something. I still have this (glow in the dark) bad boy....

    Yeah you're right, guess the tan with blue spots threw me at first glance but it's accurate for small common stingrays - at least it's not lavender with big blue eyes

    It’s a stingray not a giant manta like the old piece. Dare I say it looks a bit Friends-ish but hey, any new ocean animal moulds are always welcome!

    Maybe I should have added an emoji in case someone had a humour failure and thought my tongue in cheek comment was in fact ultra-serious and sexist? As for “girly seahorses” they’d be the species whose males get pregnant and give birth, right?

    Didn’t see FF’s post. As for fitting in, what storyline is that other than the ninjas all geared up as knights with trolls and stuff. Doesn’t seem a huge leap but either way looking forward to seeing more pics as they leak.
