  1. Thanks I couldn't remember where else I've seen it. I knew city had some others but and I'm not into the friends sets so had no idea about that.
  2. So have you read the books? Have you seen the original trilogy and the Hobbit trilogy? Tolkien's universe is such a great and wonderful place. Hopefully they make more LOTR sets. I have most of the Hobbit and LOTR sets, missed out on orthanc, the ship, Dol Guldur and the battle of the five armies sets. Definitely getting Rivendell at some point maybe the when it comes out the 5th.
  3. That's funny as growing up I had nothing but yellow minifigs and could care less as you had to use your imagination to make the characters you wanted. Also none of the figs looked like anyone as no one looks that way. The fun part was always building what you wanted and having fun. It's sad to see that children now don't use their imagination and are boxed into categories. I never watched He-man or GI-joe and thought no one looks like me I can't relate to this. I watched Transformers and they are all machines, what are you supposed to identify as a machine to enjoy the show or movie. This whole idea that there has to be someone that looks just like me or it's not inclusive is just getting weird. I enjoyed all kinds of different shows that had people that looked nothing like me. As for the wheelchair thing isn't there one in the city minifg pack that was out a year or two ago. Set number 60134 had one. I'm not sure what other sets had a wheelchair.
  4. I think there are already projects in the works and they said they have been in touch with Peter Jackson. With all that I hope LOTR sets keep coming and we get some sets from upcoming movies.
  5. Looking at the Lego lord of the rings game and seeing the Eowyn fig just makes me think that the Viking helm from the CMF is perfect for that and I just hope that they are making more LOTR sets because seeing some of the stuff from the game they could easily make several sets that people would just buy a ton of. I mean they had Haldir and all they really needed to do was add a helm piece to that fig for a Elven warrior. I just hope to see more LOTR sets on the way. We really need Gondor.
  6. Yeah I was just using some of the video's i've seen as an example. Just watching some of these gets to be so exhausting as the people don't really know the lore or they haven't even watched the movies and if they did they didn't retain barely enough info to know what the designers did for the fans. It just seems like people now a days are in it for the views and they try to be entertaining but they really aren't. I like watching Men of the West, nerd of the rings, etc. because they know what they are talking about Tolkien wise. There are some good video's out there but If your not into Tolkien just say it in the video and critique the set as a lego set and leave the weird commentary and lack of knowledge out of the videos.
  7. You wouldn't believe the amount of people calling it Rivendale instead of saying it correctly. Plus the amount of reviewers that know little about Tolkien was definitely annoying to me. I get it they sent it to you for this purpose maybe just brush up on some lore before you ramble on about things you don't know. Sometimes I had to go back and listen to see what exactly they said as it was completely off. Your better off not watching the reviews. Also the amount of people that can't say Gloin correctly either is so bad how hard is it to look up the names of the characters and some history, take some notes and make a great video instead they just push it out to be the first one to get it online.
  8. Did you not read what I wrote that the tournament knights were between me and my son. And yes I got them by feel. Also yes I'm saying where i am people buy up the figs they want and it's mainly the fantasy/castle/sci-fi ones by where I live and have been doing so since the CMF started.
  9. Right Mulan seems to have a new molded dagger, Mulans, robin hood, prince john, the evil queen, the 2 princess's, legs and torsos all look useful. the new owl color.
  10. I'm sorry but that's a terrible comparison. Peoples palettes are different and maybe beef isn't there idea of good food no matter if it's wagyu or not. I for one am not a big fan of lobster does that make me lacking knowledge no it doesn't it means I don't care for lobster. There is a discussion section I set up in multimedia for Rings of Power show. I'd rather discuss the topic there as this is for set discussions.
  11. Where I am the Spartan was cleared out everytime everywhere I went. The High demand figs were always gone first. I only have one viking and my youngest has one and we have 8 of the tournament knights between the two of us . The Elf fig was really hard to get also in the early series. You had to be lucky and get a fresh box or when they restocked the blind bag section at Walmart or ToysRus when it was still open. I understand your point but I really think this is going to backfire and sales will be down for CMF's once the boxes start. I mean I've helped many kids and parents get the figs they were looking for now that will be impossible and these parents aren't going to spend 5 or maybe 6 dollars on something their kid may or may not like. Things are getting more and more expensive and eventually things like lego are going to feel the pinch as people will not buy things like this anymore. Don't get me wrong I know lego is expensive and I do side jobs and save my money to get the sets I want but your main customer base is not going to keep shelling out money like this as eggs, meat, milk, toilet paper, paper towels, etc are getting out of hand and it's only going to get worse so my point is this will not be as profitable as it was in the past. But I may be wrong and CMF still makes the same as it has been making but I just don't see this working.
  12. You obviously didn't see the prices on the viking and the tournament knight. Then your going to buy them on bricklink and pay out the butt on shipping no thanks. This is going to be a mess. I'd rather go get them myself it's just a preference. I just don't see this working out how some people are saying it's going to. The cheapest troll form series 24 in a decent quantity is 8 dollars. The cheapest BF falconer is 9 with someone that has enought to buy from.
  13. Great looking series a lot of useful characters in this series. Robin hood and Prince John look great. So many great designs here and some nice new molds.
  14. How on earth are you going to get a whole set if they are in boxes it's just a crap shoot at that point. And as far as the figs I'm looking for those are the ones I want why would I buy something I'm not going to use just to sit on it forever or wait till I find someone to trade with.
  15. I'm sorry but not all of us can trade figs and I would rather just go pick up the ones I want. I'm not sure about trading figs and whats the point if you can just get the ones you want without having to spend on shipping to someone you don't know and rely on the mail to get it right. The boxes are going to hurt their sales in my opinion. I'm not spending $5 on a fig I don't want. The only trading option I have here is a bricks and minifg store and they rarely have the figs I'm looking for. I'm just not buying this on hope alone.
  16. I think since the Rivendell thread has been inundated with talk of ROP why not discuss it where it should be. Opinions on the good and bad of the show. What you would like to see in season 2. Any thoughts regarding the show.
  17. Great designs. The last one the valkyrie torso works really well with the demon bone lady's skirt. Wonderful idea to do with all the minifigs.
  18. I mean the ROP, Willow, and Witcher Blood origin were all bad in my opinion and a lot of people I've seen and talked to personally don't like any of those shows. As for the review bombing there was also people giving ROP 5 stars, etc so I'm not sold on the review bombing as those shows were actually bad and deserve those ratings and yes I watched them all. As for as LOTR hopefully we keep getting sets and like I said earlier I don't think lego has a licensing agreement with Amazon so ROP probably won't happen. But some smaller LOTR sets would be great especially to get figs and scenes we didn't get last time like Gondor, Meduseld, Easterlings, Bree(prancing pony), Minas Tirith, Balrog, felbeast, etc.
  19. Yeah is that just the streaming numbers or did that include the people who have HBO and just watched the show every week? Just curious because I didn't think that Nielsen accounted for the regular viewership of HOD. All that aside anything Middle earth would be great to see in Lego form. I missed out on a few of the LOTR sets when they came out due to not having the funds at the time. I would like to see more from the original trilogy and the Hobbit movies. They had so many things they could have made. We really need a Balrog in Lego form though that would be epic.
  20. The show had a larger viewing at the start because people really wanted to give it a chance but it really tailed off by the finale and was getting beat pretty handily by House of the Dragon. ROP was bad in my opinion especially the whole Halbrand thing and Galadriel was just a mess of a character in the show and that's just the tip of the iceberg. But with all that said I did like the look of the orcs in the show. If they do do sets from ROP I think it would produce some interesting figs and designs. This would also bring more new molds and maybe even more new weapons. It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming years. I think they could make some intersting sets of Moria, Elven, or Numenorean sites with some nice buildings. Or even a Numenorean ship would be nice. And if you look at the Elven hair mold with the short hair that would work for some of the weird looking elves from the show. Lego could easily make ROP sets but I don't know if they have a license with Amazon.
  21. Yeah that spruce tree could have the new fern piece upside down but it's really hard to tell from the pic, to me the piece on the spruce tree seems to have sharper edges than the fern piece. I really hope it has as many animals as in the pic if this set does actually come out. I never got MMV but did pick up one MVR. I am kicking myself for not getting MMV while it was at Toys R Us as they usually had a discounted price back then. At least I have my 2 goats though. It will be interesting to see how well this will sell if it does come out..
  22. I think since they made the shards of Narsil that it would be great to get a scene from the prologue where Isildur cuts the ring from Sauron's hand. I really think a set like that would be awesome with some Men, elves and orcs with a little bit of scenery like rock formations. I'm hoping for more sets especially Balrog, Witch King and Eowyn, Gondor, Meduseld, Prancing pony, more hobbit holes, City of the dead, Dead marshes, Osgiliath, Lothlorien, Rohan, Bree, and many others. I really hope to see Orcs again, and there are so many minifigs from LOTR that I would love to see. I would like to see different hobbits than the fellowship ones, would love to see people from Gondor and Rohan, and we definitely need Gondor soldiers and maybe even Ithilien. More Orc generals like Gothmog would be nice. Obviously a felbeast would be great and I would prefer it to be molded or if brick built it should be of the quality of what they did like the skeleton dragon from Ninjago. I just really hope we get more castle/fantasy themed sets in the coming years.
  23. Thanks for the info. I will try and get some this weekend they will work well with some of my fantasy figs.
  24. Wonderful build. I really like the use of different green colors here, makes for a striking visual. There are some nice details in the wall. Where do you get those mouse heads from?
