10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
zoth33 replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Falconfan said it would be revealed then and I would believe him. Plus maybe they want it as a surprise. We know about it but most fans don't- 2,976 replies

Fruit Flower Mountain is such a great set. You will love the build and it's such a nice display piece. It is quite large and the play features are nice. You could make it really huge with the 2 sets you have or just keep one in the box.

Once again a really nice build with newer techniques and that old castle theme style mixed in. I like the addition of the bridge on the ground. Nice use of the minifig tree parts. I have one of the old brown bridges too they can be very useful. Your forestmen figs seem to be in good condition. Nice mix of the black tower with the brown tree truck.

They are probably holding off on putting new pieces out until the sets have been out for a little while. They probably want people to buy sets first then release the new parts later. But this is just a guess. Maybe they are waiting till after the june releases are out on shelves.

Really nice color choices here. I like the landscaping with the trees and bushes. The fig looks fantastic. Great job and good luck in Summer Joust -

Yeah but you have till August to save. Or even get a side hustle for extra cash. That's what I will be doing over the summer. I know everyone has a different financial situation. But there's always things you can do you just have to be proactive.- 2,976 replies

What my thinking is on the newer parts is that they are waiting as they just released those sets like monkey kid, squirrels, some Ninjago stuff etc. is they will release those later since they want people to buy the sets. But i think eventually they will show up on pick a brick, more likely after the new waves release in june and august so maybe by the end of summer but we will see. That's just my thinking.

Right. I'm still excited and getting it. I may have to buy some of the Ninjago sets later in the year instead but whatever it is what it is at this point.- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
zoth33 replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Personally I think people need to just chill until we find out the actual price. Then you can gauge and see if you need to save more or spend less on other lego sets if you really want this one set. I mean these are things all of us are going through with the economy you have to make choices on what you are willing to sacrifice to get what you need. But this is something you want and will have to either sacrifice buying other sets or save more or just don't buy the set.- 2,976 replies

This is absolutely fantastic. Looks wonderful with the way you built the legs and tail like its running.

I think someone in the licensed parts thread said they tried to order over the phone and were denied. Give it a shot and see what they say.

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
zoth33 replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
@DaleDVM Thanks for the update sounds great. I have been collecting for awhile but I don't have that many figs I would have to count again it's somewhere over 1000. I still have a lot of the original figs from the 80's when I was a kid and the 90's when I was a teen. Some forestmen, wolfpack, dragon knights, crusaders, lion knights, black falcons, bull knights, and fright knights. Hopefully they don't go up to 450 with the price that would not be good. I will still get it but if that's the case I will hoard all my VIP points and use them then to make it easier on my wallet.- 2,976 replies

Or you could just save money like most people do when they want to buy something and then go buy it. I understand everythings going up and it's literally everything gas, groceries, toys, building materials. Did you not expect this? If not just buy fewer sets or prioritize I just don't get people sometimes.- 2,976 replies

I like larger scale brick built animals like dragons, wojira, large spiders or scorpions. I do think molded animals are necessary like squirrels, birds, deer, sheep, cows, lions, snakes, bats, fish, etc. I'm not a fan of the minidolls either mainly becaus of articulation I liked some of the vidiyo figs. I think the newer CMF's are fine just like the old ones. Some of the costume figs are neat though mainly it's just not what I collect.

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
zoth33 replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
@DaleDVM I didn't realize that was you. That is an excellent display I've seen the video a few times. You've got a great selection of minifigs. I really liked all the different shops, farms and gardens. The castle design is very interesting also. I'm hoping one day to have a display like this. I'm actually tearing some builds down to start a larger project but I've been quite busy lately with work and family stuff. How far are you on the second section now?- 2,976 replies

I have some grey and black bullet helms and none of mine are broken from the 80's. I also didn't have an issue with the clutch of minifig heads. So it's probably on a case to case basis with those things. I don't think we will get a new version of the bullet helm because of the great helm and the nasal helms we already have but they could surprise us. Or like you said they may introduce something new for this very special set.- 2,976 replies

How is this not a thing? [Castle Battle Pack]
zoth33 replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Maybe the thinking it's more adult oriented has to do with shows like GOT and the witcher. But I thought LOTR and the Hobbit appealed to a wider audience. And now you've got The Rings of Power coming out that doesn't seem to adult oriented and the WoT. Kids are definitely into dragons and castle like stuff just look at How to Train a Dragon, the Dragon Prince, Troll Hunters just to name a few really popular shows. So I agree that there is definitely fantasy things kids are into now and that kids would buy castle stuff just like in the past. I only say that the massive popularity of GOT maybe some people at lego saw that as more adult oriented stuff but there is other franchises that are quite popular with kids in the fantasy realm. And with the popularity of D&D and Magic the gathering there is so much that lego could do to include kids and adults interests in the same theme if they did it right. My 12 year old son already wants the $350 lion castle and we haven't even seen it yet and the lion knights are his favorite. He also likes army building so he can have big battles. Obviously this is just my kid but I'm sure there are more like him that would like this kind of stuff. They could easily do there own theme and make it great. We will just have to hope this pushes them to see the potential -
Yeah but I think SW is more popular than HP. I think it will be especially with Rowlings feelings and how people are reacting nowadays. Even though HP is popular I don't think it will reach SW levels.

Very nice griffon. I really like the design of the wings with the Ninjago wing piece. I think it would look better without the armor though.

The covered stairway is great. Really nicely designed build. I like the figs and obviously goats, goats, goats.

I think generations are still inspired by Star Wars. My kids one is going to be 17 later this year and one is 12 both love Star wars. They both really like the Mandalorian and Boba fett. They also really liked the force awakens but were really disappointed with the rise of skywalker.
