I mean the ROP, Willow, and Witcher Blood origin were all bad in my opinion and a lot of people I've seen and talked to personally don't like any of those shows. As for the review bombing there was also people giving ROP 5 stars, etc so I'm not sold on the review bombing as those shows were actually bad and deserve those ratings and yes I watched them all. As for as LOTR hopefully we keep getting sets and like I said earlier I don't think lego has a licensing agreement with Amazon so ROP probably won't happen. But some smaller LOTR sets would be great especially to get figs and scenes we didn't get last time like Gondor, Meduseld, Easterlings, Bree(prancing pony), Minas Tirith, Balrog, felbeast, etc.

Yeah is that just the streaming numbers or did that include the people who have HBO and just watched the show every week? Just curious because I didn't think that Nielsen accounted for the regular viewership of HOD. All that aside anything Middle earth would be great to see in Lego form. I missed out on a few of the LOTR sets when they came out due to not having the funds at the time. I would like to see more from the original trilogy and the Hobbit movies. They had so many things they could have made. We really need a Balrog in Lego form though that would be epic.

The show had a larger viewing at the start because people really wanted to give it a chance but it really tailed off by the finale and was getting beat pretty handily by House of the Dragon. ROP was bad in my opinion especially the whole Halbrand thing and Galadriel was just a mess of a character in the show and that's just the tip of the iceberg. But with all that said I did like the look of the orcs in the show. If they do do sets from ROP I think it would produce some interesting figs and designs. This would also bring more new molds and maybe even more new weapons. It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming years. I think they could make some intersting sets of Moria, Elven, or Numenorean sites with some nice buildings. Or even a Numenorean ship would be nice. And if you look at the Elven hair mold with the short hair that would work for some of the weird looking elves from the show. Lego could easily make ROP sets but I don't know if they have a license with Amazon.

Lego Icons 10332 Medieval Town Square Discussion Thread
zoth33 replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yeah that spruce tree could have the new fern piece upside down but it's really hard to tell from the pic, to me the piece on the spruce tree seems to have sharper edges than the fern piece. I really hope it has as many animals as in the pic if this set does actually come out. I never got MMV but did pick up one MVR. I am kicking myself for not getting MMV while it was at Toys R Us as they usually had a discounted price back then. At least I have my 2 goats though. It will be interesting to see how well this will sell if it does come out.. -
I think since they made the shards of Narsil that it would be great to get a scene from the prologue where Isildur cuts the ring from Sauron's hand. I really think a set like that would be awesome with some Men, elves and orcs with a little bit of scenery like rock formations. I'm hoping for more sets especially Balrog, Witch King and Eowyn, Gondor, Meduseld, Prancing pony, more hobbit holes, City of the dead, Dead marshes, Osgiliath, Lothlorien, Rohan, Bree, and many others. I really hope to see Orcs again, and there are so many minifigs from LOTR that I would love to see. I would like to see different hobbits than the fellowship ones, would love to see people from Gondor and Rohan, and we definitely need Gondor soldiers and maybe even Ithilien. More Orc generals like Gothmog would be nice. Obviously a felbeast would be great and I would prefer it to be molded or if brick built it should be of the quality of what they did like the skeleton dragon from Ninjago. I just really hope we get more castle/fantasy themed sets in the coming years.

Thanks for the info. I will try and get some this weekend they will work well with some of my fantasy figs.

Wonderful build. I really like the use of different green colors here, makes for a striking visual. There are some nice details in the wall. Where do you get those mouse heads from?

Because you are comparing sets that are not close to each other. Like I said one is licensed Ninjago is not and the gardens is not the same style of build as Rivendell. I was asking because you are complaining about price and I was just wondering if you have bought anything around 500 dollars. And once again you are comparing Ninjago on price and that can have a discount where these sets won't. That's fine that you think it's overpriced but it really isn't when you compare it to other licensed sets of that size or even like I said MK sets are really overpriced by your standards then. And if you spent $400m dollars on Hogwarts realistically what is a 100 more for this set? I'm not saying you can't compare lego sets at all but at least compare ones that are on the same level.
-
I disagree that this set is only a little bigger than fruit flower mountain. I have fruit flower mountain and I think will be much bigger than that. And once again why are people comparing it to Ninjago city gardens that is an unlicensed set and isn't even close to the detail in this set. I have a question for you did you buy the lion knights castle? And if not what is the largest set you own? I don't see this at all as Hogwarts legacy is really popular and the ones that are leaving the franchise are being replaced by new fans. As for the fan bases of both HP and LOTR they are definitely different fan bases and LOTR has always been popular in it's own right. HP really blew up and still has a strong fanbase but I think LOTR/Tolkien fans made a strong statement about the ROP and that will have no bearing on the popularity of LOTR because we can still read the books and watch the original movies. HP may have a issue for a little while but I don't think it's going to kill the franchise.

After watching Ashnflash's video the other swords are Arwens sword from the movie and it looks great.
-
I'm assuming your talking about the blond one. I guess it is a female looking at the pictures now I thought it was going to be one of the 2 blacksmiths from the scene in ROTK but I guess not. I think that they are Arwens sword. But that's just a guess at this point. I think the set is great and can't wait to get it. I find the discussion over the price weird when you look at themes like the Monkey kid and especially any licensed stuff. The price seems fine to me. I think the set has some great details. The new fern piece is wonderful. All the new molded weapons are great. The roof looks great with all the different colors like the movie. I really like the design and the playability of the set.

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
zoth33 replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It's a preliminary image and was said to be used to gauge interest so it may not even be a set and the minifigs wouldn't be finalized anyway. As for MMV there were only crownies and villagers. If this does come out people will be really excited for this and will sell well by the way people have been wanting more village type sets. I think it would look great next to the castle and even the 3in1 castle would look nice thrown in together too. But like I said these wouldn't be the finalized minifigs anyway.- 2,976 replies

zoth33 replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yeah I hope that set is real and with the viking village coming out this year also who knows they might throw a goat in that set to. My wallet is going to be non-existent this year with all these sets coming if they are all true.- 2,976 replies

What about the medieval market with the goat? I hope that set is real it looks fantastic. -
It's a preliminary image it's not the final product. We will see soon enough if these sets are real.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather well wishes to your family. I like the archways and the front of the main tower has a nice design. I wish Lego made a molded eagle or falcon piece like the lion piece you have in the middle that would be great for so many builds. Nice build overall.

That's Ok. I thought you meant the actual lion knight torsos. Those green torsos are still from the lion knight castle set and are great for civilians. Hoping soon the actual lion knight torsos show up to bolster my lion kinghts army.

Wonderful build. I really like the landscaping. The trees and plants look great in addition to the rockwork. The buildings have nice designs. That is a big Mitgardian army.

Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
zoth33 replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yeah the big figs were different colors. The minifigs only came in one color. As for the olive green and sand green thing if you think they clash to much just make them a different tribe or clan of trolls and problem solved. Yeah I was thinking that mouthpiece part just screams WOW orcs. I mean lego does have a license with blizzard so you never know. But I doubt they would do WOW. -
Where is the lion torso that's the handmaid torso.

Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes

I actually don't mind it at all as it gives my troll army some variety and actually there would be slight variations in color in a real world application. I do agree on the printed cape thing but that can be easily covered up with other capes or armor. Agree and like I said gives the army more variation. Just look at the orcs in LOTR there are variations in their coloring and size, armor, etc. -
LEGO IDEAS teams up with Dungeons And Dragons!
zoth33 replied to HeyComeMerryDol's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
To be honest a lot of the Ninjago dragons are not asian inspired the Skeleton dragon looks fantastic. The New Ice dragon is great. Kai's lastest red dragon the wyvern one is another great build and all look western in style. The newest version of the Hungarian horntail is one of the best dragons they've made. This one looks nice but I like the ones I mentioned better than the one in the D&D model. -
No Gondor wasn't in it's glory days but still not neutered like they were in the film and I'm only assuming he had to do that because he didn't have the budget or time for practical effects to do it justice so he added the army of the dead killing everyone. I think that's also why they didn't include Tom Bombadil and the Barrow wights as that would have made the first movie extremely long. I know they have to remove some things and add others to translate it to the big screen. I still feel like the LOTR and Hobbit trilogies immersed us into Middle Earth way better than ROP did. The music, settings, visuals all were better even though the Hobbit was highly flawed it still felt like Middle earth. I really hope lego does give us some Gondor scenes and figs this time if they are continuing the license.
