  1. Great Idea for that torch using the marvel blast pieces. the fig looks great is that torso and legs from harry potter?
  2. Great looking display. The color combinations really make this display pop. The water looks great and the boats give it some nice depth. The rock work and landscaping are fantastic. All the buildings are unique and have nice interiors. The interior of the cave is impressive with the especially the lava. All of the dragons look great with their different designs. Some great looking figs in there too. Overall wonderful job on all that hard work.
  3. Yes that would be great. Although I don't have Rivendell yet I will be getting it early next year at some point. Any generic orcs, goblins, humans, dwarves, elves, etc would be great. The more generic torso and leg prints would be wonderful. Like more elves from Lothlorien, people from Minas Tirith, Rohan, Dale, etc. Dwarves from the blue mountains or dwarven workers.
  4. Great analysis. I think people build things up so much that when the final product comes out they just see the negatives and can't let things go. I know it's not the greatest set but let's put it into perspective. The actual sets we have gotten are great like the Lion Knights castle, 3in1 castle, Rivendell, Viking village, the 3in1 viking ship, and the pirate sets were also great. As long as we are getting quality sets like that I'm not worried. I think some people take things to far with this set. I can't wait till we see pictures of the Market village and see what will be said about that.
  5. This is great and it would fit right in with the LK castle. Great interior and nice detailing all around. Supported and I really hope this gets through. Good luck.
  6. What an awesome idea. I really like the king and the sword. Some nice details in here with the hidden doors and all the moving parts.
  7. Yeah I read that comment and it just talks about Bag End in general. It's in both properties so clearly lego could use it either for LOTR or the Hobbit. I'm saying that it could be used for both it doesn't just have to be in the Hobbit just because lego decided to put it in the Hobbit waves instead of LOTR. All I'm saying is that the Hobbit and LOTR are all part of Tolkien's world. You can use Bag End for whatever you want. I think lego just put Bag End in with the Hobbit sets to give us more variety for LOTR. I just wished we had gotten more sets at that time.
  8. You do realize that Bag End is in LOTR right? It's the same world so yes it's in the Hobbit but it's also featured in LOTR. They could do Minas Tirith as a scaled down version there are a few out there that look good. They could also make Lothlorien, the prancing pony, Osgiliath, any part of Moria, the dead marshes, and many other locations.
  9. Nice design on the Inn. I like the stonework and the plants look interesting. The window in the front is a nice touch. Good looking figs too, I like the Rohan helms on the black falcon knights.
  10. That would be cool but I doubt that a goat kid is coming in that set. I'm hoping for different prints on torsos and shields. I'm sure a goat kid will come at some point probably not in this set though.
  11. Not sure if they will be the same. Judging by the pictures they seem pretty close. I'm really interested to see how they do the figs in the D&D set. Yeah I like both of those figs. I have some of the warrior and a couple mummy queens. It will be interesting to see what we get for prints and new molds from this set. Hoping for new prints and possibly different hair or hats.
  12. I've got all 3 of those torso's but I don't have the MMV set ifself. I have 2 of the second one, can't remember exactly how I got them. They are all very nice and very useful for common folk. I don't have the skirt piece for the second one but I think it still works for peasants or a barmaid. Hopefully the new Market village set has some new prints but we will see soon I hope.
  13. Yes I'm just saying I really like that castle has returned and to your second point that is your opinion. As far as the Majisto set is concerned yes it isn't the greatest thing ever and I understand the criticisms but my point was that we have had plenty of castle recently and this GWP is the worst so far as sets go isn't that bad of a thing to me. Not every set is going to be great. I like Ninjago dragons and not all of them look great some I could care less about it's all up to your personal preference. I don't think it's something to get upset about. We still have the Market Village and the D&D set coming so I'm looking forward to those sets also. Yeah this should be and interesting set to see what the final product will be. Can't wait to see this and the village sets. It's been so nice having all these castle sets after years of nothing. This weekend I will be getting the viking village set and some christmas presents which will be great with the double vip points and all the gwp's.
  14. Yeah I forgot Lowenstein castle, and the castle in the forest.
  15. The lack of castle sets the last two year? The 3in1 castle set. the Forestman GWP, The Lion knights castle, The viking longship, the new viking village and although not exactle castle the Rivendell set. I'd say that's not to bad after nothing for like almost 10 years.
  16. Maybe they would use the trading post as a front for spying on other guilds.
  17. We did get Oni in Ninjago but I know your going for a more historical version.
  18. Unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars on this set since it has long been retired what's the point of this also you can replace the brown if needed. My brown pieces don't really crack that much so I don't see why this would be an issue.
  19. You know you can add that stuff yourself. There are some great building techniques and some nice nods to the old castle sets in this set but to each their own. You also can create your own invasion based on the forestmen hideout part or just make your own.
  20. That's an interesting theory I had not thought about PAB like that in terms of the Castle line. Personally I would still buy the sets even if the minifigs were on PAB. But that may contribute to less sets being sold. The villains from Nexo Knights were really nice though the red and black lava guys are great have several of them and the rock gargoyle guys also had some great prints and are great for a fantasy setting. I know Nexo knights didn't do well but I liked some of the sets and my youngest son liked the theme as a whole.
  21. I really don't think GOT had anything to do with lego not doing castle themes. Then why did they stop classic space and pirates also only to bring them back. I think they brought in new people in management and they decided to try new things instead of keeping what had working for them. This happens with companies all the time new talent wants to prove things and show what they can do. I do agree with the black knights they were one of my favorites back in the day. I just hope we get some new factions with some interesting heraldry coming the next few years either in sets or cmf's.
  22. Neither am I but it's been good for us Castle fans lately so I can't complain.
  23. Yeah that's why I said small chance. but who knows lego sometimes surprises us.
  24. Did you get the viking village set yet that's what I'm going to do and get some christmas gifts and maybe some PAB cups. There also some nice Ninjago sets with dragons in them.
