"A long time" could mean a lot of things and plans can change, but that probably means Ninjago's got at least more than two years upcoming.

I'm wondering how lax the Oni threat is if they're just hanging out in the Monastery during the final episode of the special.- 4,591 replies

Perhaps the special is tied to the time travel/remake sets rumor, and later in the year there will be a season with the Oni.- 4,591 replies

It's either 13 episodes, or the usual 10 and an additional special. Both are good options!- 4,591 replies

I think you're remembering wrong.. the Vermillion didn't touch the temple, the fight was on the outside. The Temple was fine. And that apparently won't be a full season then..- 4,591 replies

I think another Lightning dragon seems more obvious considering the altered T is Jay's symbol.

I don't think the Firstbourne is necessarily the mother of the FSM. All that's said is that he bonded with her because he was part-dragon.- 4,591 replies

A script (A script, no idea if it's a season) is being written according to Brent Miller, so if that particular episode won't be completed for ten months, and if it's Season 10, that's.. May 2018. A special in earlier 2018 maybe?

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

They're teenagers now because they've always been teenagers, in the show. Besides, upper-end teenagers isn't that bad, they could be like 18-19 now, 15-16 in the beginning. It is annoyingly limiting for establishing a time-frame for the show's events though. But even if they were in their 20s, if their intent is for Ninjago to go for as long as possible, then there's the question of how old they get before it freezes. Which is why they don't give them actual ages beyond teens, it's to keep it vague.- 4,591 replies

Taking the show discussion out of the set topic, what do you guys think the possible 2011-2012 remake sets will mean for the show? Time travel season? Time Twins returning? Updated remake of those season?- 4,591 replies

By "rerelease", would that mean the sets are just being re-released as they are, or some kind of remake?

Okay, but are these sets for Winter 2018 or Winter 2019? Not sure how seasons for LEGO work.

I don't think from what they've said there's any reason it's a reboot yet. Saying "the future is exciting" is just.. duh, of course, they'd say that. If that means it's a reboot, what would they say if it wasn't? "The future is average"? "The future is mediocre"? Okay? So-so? And if it was a reboot, I doubt they'd just redo the plot of the old seasons again. Or.. I'd hope not. Maybe this will be a special that recaps the series with new animation. Uh, would winter would mean the beginning of 2018, or the end of 2019?
