  1. Those are some worrying elipses..
  2. Ugh, I expected this. Ninjago's not really that great a show anyway. I'll enjoy it, but it's not looking good if the Lego Movie franchise is getting succeedingly worse scores every sequel.
  3. That whoever she's talking to is doing something..un-ninja?
  4. Not really sure. But, he's usually listed as having the element of "All" or Creation. And then in Possession he summoned a dragon, and in Hands of Time, Lloyd called him and Garmadon "elemental masters".
  5. I can't believe it took seven years and a movie in an alternate continuity to portray Wu as using all of the ninja's elements, like he was always said to be able to do. Eh, I'm just glad we're finally seeing more of it. I thought they had shown too little before. I think it all looks good so far. But hearing Nya say "That is not so ninja!" in TV commercials is getting annoying. But I guess kid's movies always have that one part in the trailer that gets grating after a while.
  6. We'll have to see how successful this is first.
  7. Same, but I've seen ads on TV and the internet. It's a movie about LEGO ninja, I'm sure it'll, at least, make it's money back. Also worried about is how it'll be received by the critics, considering the LEGO Batman Movie generally wasn't considered as good as the LEGO Movie.
  8. Spoiler (I think) from the Making Of book:
  9. Ninjago Season 8 is going to be great!
  10. I fully understand why they're doing this and I'm completely okay with them doing this, but I can't help but think in the back of my head that new people will just be more confused and get turned off by the show once they watch and the differences become more obvious.
  11. Nah, Mr. Andreasen said it's not an actual outfit.
  12. It's recolored from this poster:
  13. I have no idea. Edit: Found another picture on Twitter. Apparently it's from this new book, spoilered for size: So, it's official. And link to its description: https://www.egmont.co.uk/books/lego®-ninjago-the-book-of-spinjitzu/9781405288033
  14. Apparently the outfit we saw in the sneak peek won't be Lloyd's permanent outfit in the season (putting in spoilers just in case): Makes sense, it'd be lame if Lloyd just had a recolored movie outfit.
  15. Spoilers in a set? I'm going to take your word for it, but is it anything the trailer didn't show?
  16. I wouldn't be surprised if it is what's happened to Wu. It kind of makes sense, he fell through the time vortex and is now warping through space-time. Maybe he'll land in the LEGO Movie-verse. But, that begs the question what happened to the Iron Doom and the Hands of Time. Was it destroyed? Did they die?
  17. We know their face rigs will be the same, the most change we've seen is already on Lloyd because of puberty. We know Wu will look different, not "drastically" different. For all we know, that just means he'll have new clothes.
  18. It's pretty easy to understand. It's a pretty drastic change, and most people didn't expect to the movie designs to crossover to the show in some way. Time-skip, sure, but I'm sure it's no bigger than the amount of time that's passed since the show began, and we've seen what they're supposed to look like when they're older. You gotta remember: they're LEGO. Their most distinguishing features are their faces and hair. They basically make their identities. I'm willing to retroactively accept that however the ninja's faces have changed, they've simply always looked like that, except for Lloyd, whom has apparently actually hit puberty. If this gets more people into the show, then it's worth it. Redesigns aside though, the animation is incredible! Way better than Season 7's. Next-Level-Ninjago, indeed.
  19. You would prefer the original continuity ending entirely over just designs and everything else being the same?
  20. That wasn't directed at you, that was more in general.
  21. I kinda got that, but I don't think a change in pitch is quite the same as changing voice actors. On another note though, according to the Hagemans, Season 9 is the last season, "for now". Though apparently that's usually how it is, and they're sure Ninjago will continue even if they aren't around to write it, so probably nothing to worry about.
  22. The Hageman Bros. said they didn't write it, not that it wasn't canon. Assumptions, assumptions. But, you know Lloyd has always had the same actress in the show, right? Until Season 8, it'll still be show, movie. And game.
  23. Really? Most people I've seen thought it was funny. We don't know if it's canon yet though. I want it to be.. because Lloyd singing is a thing that must exist.
