If you mean the thing with Lloyd and Garmadon doing Spinjitzu, that's.. pretty obviously just an edit. It's not like these things happen on a set date like official releases. They'll leak when they leak. Maybe LEGO's gotten better at preventing them.

It's not like Ninjago is the only thing LEGO can make with East-Asian elements. Although, Red-band Movie Cole Hair guy reminds me of that rumored new villain? Probably not the same.

Eh. Ninjas have died before. Technically speaking, Sensei Wu's been undead since the first season - remember when he went over that lava-fall in the Fire Temple to get to the Underworld? Well, either that cave in the Fire Temple is actually a magical portal that for some reason the Ninja couldn't use . . or he committed suicide to get to the Underworld. There was a short about there being an entrance to the Underworld there, "Return to the Fire Temple". Why they didn't use that, well.. hey, no one said Ninjago was perfect. Hoping sets start to leak sooner or later.

It's not that I don't think the deaths are impactful when they happen, it's just that if the characters are definitely going to come back they aren't as big a deal as a lot of fans make them. ..maybe even somewhat emotionally exploitative for the less genre-savvy

That wasn't exactly from an insider source, Tommy Andreasen said something that implied it on Twitter. And even then, "fall" can mean a lot of things. People think one of the Ninja is going to die every season. I think it's pretty clear at this point they're never going to permanently kill off one of the main characters.

Probably because of limited space. Especially on the badge. I noticed on the movie shirts one or two of the Ninja were sometimes excluded, usually Cole and Nya.

Just saw something that looks like promo art with Jay, Cole, Lloyd, and Kai in their new suits. Not sure if it's real but it looks official? Kai's suit looks better in 2D form.

I'm not saying he should have six arms, but it kinda feels like they went backwards from the Sons of Garmadon design. And why do some things look like new versions of old things (Garmadon, Pythor, Wu, Samurai Nya), but some things look completely new (new Ninja suits, completely new Overlord)?

Dang, I'm surprised so many people satisfied by it. I like seeing Garmadon look similar to way he used to in the show's prime, but.. he is literally 2012 Garmadon with a new face print. I guess after the movie, looking as much like the old days is good enough.

From what I've seen: Taking the bottom half off is hard. Just not liking the way it looks. Not ninja-like enough. Connotation with the movie and redesigns.

I mean, we know Lloyd's Golden Ninja figure has his movie face but colored gold. If that's the case then they'll all likely have their movie faces, and this is accurate. Even the Kabuki Nya has the movie face.

Considering Nya has a samurai outfit, perhaps the designs of the Ninja are different between the Spinjitzu spinners and other sets. Like, maybe the actual sets will have updated versions of the old suits.

We still don't know, and yes they have the movie faces. We aren't going to get much story details just looking at random figures.

Maybe he molted.

Unexplained design changes aren't exactly above them, heh. Either don't mention it at all or have a joke where someone points it out and then he says he got a tan, or something.

I can't think of how all that could happen without it just seeming contrived.

The Garmadon head looks cool, like an updated version of the pilot to Season 2 one. Didn't think they'd make a new one so quickly with all the movie expressions there were.
