It could be them being sucked into wherever the Oni are, it's pretty vague. Really hoping something about the plot that isn't vague crypticness gets revealed soon.. but the first teaser is probably still a month away. If it is time travel and the Legacy actually have story relevance, I really cannot wrap around how they could fit time travel, wrapping up SoG and Hunted's plot (I assume Oni), and another Jay and Nya romance thing into 88 minutes..

If there were to be a Legacy wave every year, I wonder if that would mean a special (because of lack of new material) and a single season every year, too.

Also they just put up an ad for them on the Ninjago Facebook page.

If it does have story relevance in some way, I.. gotta question the logic of killing off the original Ultra Dragon only to replace it with a new one that the Ninja have little to no connection to.

We have no idea. Very little is known about the story.

How long does it take for store-exclusive sets to be revealed?

I mean, we can't exactly give you an educated summary on the company's reasons for the choices they make. Story-wise though, we have no idea how they could relate to the show itself, or if they do at all. We know very little about the 2019 installment's story.

It probably confirms that the sets are remakes of old sets, which we already know. Maybe the January magazine will have something about the show.

Dang, that's a two hour time-slot! Ha ha.. that's cool, but I would be a lot more excited about if something, anything at all could be revealed about the story

Trailers usually start in December or January. He did say they'd be completed next week though, but not getting my hopes up for those to come out very soon. Maybe the name of the special? Worldwide earlier release dates? Moved to a better network in the US? ..LEGO Ninjago Movie 2?

Unless the set descriptions have anything, at this point we might just have to wait until story details come out officially.

Yes. He bought the 2019 figures (people are selling the figures on Ebay).. he took the movie heads off.. and put on the original heads. That isn't a new face print, he had that head since Skybound. We've been seeing the Ninja with their new heads in the leaks this whole time, it's not going to miraculously change now. People pose the original heads with the new suits all the time.

So, those Asian-inspired figures are definitely from sets based around the Chinese New Year entirely unrelated to Ninjago. Glad that's finally clear.

Overlord seems more like a mix of all his forms. Gold Master humanoid body, four arms from possessing Garmadon, ghost tail ala the original spirit orb thing..

Well.. the placement of the other character seems pretty era-accurate, so not a lot of other places he could be.

I don't know if I'd trust any show leaks yet. And uh, looking at that particular poster the only thing they say is that it's a Kai special.. because his face is on the box-art. Yeah. No one knows anything yet. Exact same thing as RandomGuy#2451 saying it's definitely about time travel. Also is it just me, or is one box Kai, and the second a red Lloyd?

There's a new description leak for Kai's spinner now. Looks like spinners are customizable again, with weapons and mode and stuff!

That new Skulkin figure.. um. It.. it is certainly something.
