  1. Not bad, looks much better than mine Your front/fenders are nicely done, but your middle panels (between the wheels) are lacking size and depth.
  2. 26 points... more than I expected, considering that my entry was so rushed. So I'm happy Winners were obvious, great job @shadow_elenter, @Erik Leppen , and @HallBricks ! You guys had amazing entries and are very deserving of the medals.
  3. Amazingly well done. Every bus MOC these days seems to top the last. However, the pictures are very small, any chance you could upload pictures to Flickr so that they are easier to see? Thanks.
  4. It said "over 90%"... which is very rational. Must disagree... the "behind the scenes" video showed an amazing amount of work go into it and some truly amazing solutions. LEGO really went out on a limb to make it possible. Anyways, disappointed to hear that I have to wait until mid-October to see what was built... knowing Nico, it should be awesome.
  5. 42054 or 42055... I'm not sure. They're my favorite and second favorite set respectively. 42054 is the way to go if you are looking for an excellent display piece, 42055 if you need a huge, cheap inventory boost. 42055 is as close to a good garage sale bin of parts as you can get, as 42054 is as close to a custom MOC you can get.
  6. That is amazing. I love the size, everything seems to work well, and it looks awesome. How did you get such a perfect white background though? P.S HoF maybe?
  7. Amazing model and nice effects in the video. I see that you are also experimenting with green/blue screen. Is your white background also greenscreened?
  8. It was stolen from Brick Builder. The original has upwards of 10M views and I have watched it several times.
  9. I feel like having 2 tiers would be interesting. One one hand, competing against experienced, refined builders is a privilege to honour and helps one improve. On the other hand, knowing that you will be squashed repeatedly by those builders really sucks. I think a second tier would attract more lower skilled builders because it would show that they could get some love as well. The TC11 prize system was perfect IMO.
  10. Those wheels are so much better suited for this thing. Very nice!
  11. Same here. I wanted to build functional creations, not just stagnant spaceships. I wanted to work with real mechanisms and not just move stuff by hand. And seeing gears spin without skipping is the most satisfying thing ever
  12. 1: 10 10: 6 3: 4 5: 3 8: 2 12: 1 Awesome entries everyone! Lots of original builds cam out of this. I had never seen a LEGO Technic fair ride before this contest! Good luck all!
  13. Wow! That is some seriously ingenious mechanics going on there! I especially like how the cart slows as it reaches the bottom, and how all the mechanics work so harmoniously. The one thing it's missing is restraints, so I bet the injury rate is very high...
  14. Sorry for the double post, but what editing software do you use @mocbuild101?
  15. This is a pretty cool ride! Using Mindstorms really added to the build, I love the "cycles" you programmed in. Awesome job and good luck!
  16. DOUBLE DISTORTION Enter the realm of red and black with DOUBLE DISTORTION! This ride is one for real thrill-seekers. It combines rotation, up and down motion, and a thrilling orientation change. The mechanism is all controlled by a single motor, which controls more than just rotational motion. There is a multi-directional gearbox which controls the up-down motion of the arms. As well, this model is a C model of 42043. It uses about 1700 parts or around 60% of the set's parts. It's a break from 42055 I guess Enough talking: here's the video! There's an abundance of details, including a sign, a ticket-taker/operator's seat, a covered platform with a safety line, railings, and everything is minifig scale (or just about). The seats are minifig-compatible and have working restraints. More pictures: So that's my entry. I hope you enjoy and vote! BbBT Quote

  18. Realistically, that sucks. Honestly, that must be pretty satisfying
  19. Hey everyone, Instructions are now released. Have fun building! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-17279/BrickbyBrickTechnic/drill-rig-42055-c-model/#comments
  20. Thanks a lot! Now that I look at the ride, I see the resemblance... \i'll think of a new name
  21. This is another pretty awesome entry. I like the funky lettering!
