  1. Once again, another really insane build from you! I love the sheer amount of detail you put into these MOCs, and how the functionality is so invisible and compact yet successful.
  2. Agreed, we are off-topic (sorry everyone else!) but our prices do not include tax.
  3. I'm alright for now. I have looked at some options but just need to test (haven't had much time). Thanks for your offer though!
  4. I guess that's a compromise because we get it hard here too (e.g 42055 which is $229 US and $329 CAD).
  5. Interesting WIP! So I'm assuming the planes will rise up as the ride progresses, all while spinning? Also, I saw a similar ride at Canada's Wonderland recently. The rider would have a steering wheel which would change the pitch of the propellers and in turn, rotate the entire plane module (similarly to how a propeller on a helicopter works). Might be something worth integrating?
  6. I think that's exactly what they were going for with this I do not find the model attractive whatsoever and yet I do quite like it. Hmph.
  7. Sounds like a lot of fun! We don't get much of those kinds of MOCs here (and I wonder who's gonna attempt the roller coaster...).
  8. Very nicely done! Once again, a model I could never see coming from 42069!
  9. For me, my style changes with every different set I do C models for. For example, when using 42055 I make use of every frame possible and leave some beams out (focusing most on the rigidity of the structure), but with 42054, use up pretty much all the beams (and focus more on the functions). I As each set includes more of a certain type of piece and less of other I adapt between sets. This means I have several different styles, and consequently, when building non-C model MOCs I become very puzzled and confused as to how to execute certain parts and they end up as messes in general because with different sets I focus on different things and with everything being there I lose focus. So I love having the part limit, and if my style changes in the future I will learn to embrace not having limits I guess.
  10. OK, I guess the chassis was just giving me the illusion for a super long chassis. It's awesome!
  11. Nice doors and roof, however the whole car is too long. Maybe @Lipko's suggestion will help, if not, you will have to shorten the chassis.
  12. What a fun Idea! Weirdly, they all look really nice (I didn't think they would before I saw them while waiting for the page to load) and like something I would like to have on display.
  13. Thank you! I will post photo sequence instructions in the coming weeks.
  14. That would be correct. The model I was using for inspiration was the Bauer BG50. Thank you very much! Theoretically, the most functions I could get with the 1 motor is 8 (4 grey rings), but that's a goal for another model
  15. Thanks very much! I agree that the functions are simplified. I watched some video of a Bauer rig (can't remember the model, sorry) and there was an interesting dual-winch system which I couldn't really figure out, so I went with the simple system. Given the chance to take another stab at this vehicle, I will look more into the intricacies . Do post your rig here once it's done! 8 years sounds like quite the while. Thank you!
  16. I like having different colored axles, however, if all axles were available in all colors (as @Bublehead suggested) I would be much happier. I do not mind the present situation.
  17. You are right :) Thanks a lot. Thanks! What do you think would make it better? I would be happy to implement some improvements. Thanks very much Thank you! I'm glad you like the cabin. It went through many iterations. Thanks
  18. Hey everyone, Presenting my latest MOC: the 42055 C model, heavy drill rig. The model has 5 power functions: drill rotation, superstructure rotation, drive, drill lowering, and boom pitch adjustment. They all work fairly well. The boom is about 60cm high and the range of the drill is about 50cm downward. It can keep spinning while lowering and in any position. I did have a goal in mind for the chassis: to give it some ground clearance. That was a success; the chassis has 4 studs of clearance and is still very durable. Anyways, here's the video and some pictures: And now some pictures: This thing was impossible to photograph in full. That's it for now. Thanks for reading! Leave a comment! BbBT
  19. Thanks a lot! I will have something ready in the next couple of days.
  20. Do you have enough pieces to do so? I don't want you to break that amazing Audi (Sorry for offtopic, but damn that's a nice Audi)
  21. Fairly eh IMO. That angle is very sharp and the lights are too big.
  22. Some really cool stuff going on here! 1. Mocbuild101 2. Marxpek 3. Offroadcreations 4. Romashkahan 5. MangaNoid
  23. I do not, so it will be great to have some renders. Thanks!
  24. You should really finish it if you can. The end result is beautiful IMO, so lots of reward for little work Aside, I don't see a problem with the simplicity of build processes. It's clear that in the age of 8851, Technic had a mainly adult demographic, and so clarity was not as needed. However, with recent years, Technic must have seen a big increase in children taking interest, so making a big-scale-function-packed model easy to build is a necessity if anything. Just take a look at the recent commercials. Children are without doubt the stars.
