  1. I look forward to any set double ups (including what I’m working on 👍) it will be very interesting to see different ways of completing the same objective.
  2. Very interesting contest and sounds super fun. Thanks for organising 👍 I’ll try to find some time and join in. Mentally planning with a chosen set already at least…
  3. First I thought, oh technic crane truck the crane looks oversized as usual in technic resolution. But then I looked at some source material not being familiar with this boom crane setup and it’s spot on size! 👍 Would love to have this as a set! Well done on a very nice build
  4. Very nice! would like too see more technical shots of the susp etc. 👍
  5. I think the front diff represents the electric motor. love all the DBG parts
  6. Sorry I can not finish mine. Time is too absent for me since the end of January. I was enjoying it but will have to build a space ship another time 😕
  7. I love critical feedback. That roofline is so much better. The doors are very nice
  8. I have lack of direction (which is never good) and time but I kinda like where it’s going... It is the same build as the start but it’s lost the tail of course and changed a lot of other stuff that I wasn’t happy with. Possible features are: pneumatic landing gear pneumatic cabin lowering for exiting craft Rotating and up/down moving thrusters (we don’t have to justify any physics to these space craft right?) Probably cargo carrying ability with winching under the craft. other stuff as I have at least one free gearbox output left Why is this a space police ship??...I don’t know...
  9. Very cool and fun. I like where you went with this
  10. Thanks for comments people. But after looking at others builds I feel this is missing some spark or something more flamboyant. This is a pretty unrestricted contest So I might need to flare this up a little... it’s a spaceship so a lot of regular rules can be thrown away to get creative. Not sure I can do that so well but one thing I might do is utilise some pneumatics on the landing gear. Thinking that when they unfold I can also have the pneumatics extend (at the same time in the one motion) and then reverse that when bringing up the landing gear. I’ll need to use the air tank to store the air for that I think without going with a motor/pump assembly. ill update in a couple days see if it can work (see if I can get it to work) No too much for me and for the aesthetics I think. I may even change the engines yet.
  11. Didn’t really think of them like that but I’ll take if you don’t mind never know when you have to land on a water world when you’re space police right! I feel like I need to work on the landing gear legs a little... I changed the way to operate the functions as the controls in my first post are all over the craft but then the thought of a distribution gear box crossed my mind -duh- so I should have 3 functions all operated from the very back knob where the engines are, this all feels really good so far when you ‘swish’ it around to play with ‘engines’ are changed from system stuff to portal axle for more technic approach. When connected the engines can swivel up and down for ‘thrust’ change. I hope I can link that to a cabin lever as well just for the sake of it. Surprisingly I have not used any LDD yet and will probably just design and build with bricks.
  12. I’m on holiday for a few weeks so I’ve had a few hours and it’s been nice to build again so I’ll get the TC 24 ball rolling. Its strange to build something without wheels but very welcome got a rough shape and some roughly sorted functions of moving engines and landing gear (guess the landing gear?) Got a small idea about what else to add but won’t overdo the functions with the limited time I see myself having. I’d like to work on some good form...hopefully. I have in mind to be a police space patrol build not a bad guy build.
  13. Sounds like a fun contest theme! I’m going to try and sneak some time somewhere to contribute a build.
  14. That’s a pretty specific dialect I’m finding it hard to translate
  15. Like this one and hopefully can pick it up depending on $$ primary colour pins equate to vomit but the rest is very nicely gray scaled
  16. There is nothing Technic to me about a whole bunch of panels lined up like this. To me it looks like a duplo set
  17. Not posting or building much these days due to many life constraints but a few months ago I bought this lot for $90aus Wanting only the technic Ferrari and not knowing what else was in the box‘s I thought I could give the rest of the LEGO ‘junk’ to the kids to play with as it was just advertised as ‘LEGO lot’ After getting home I realised the Ferrari was missing some bits but thankfully had all the very expensive red bits. So a bit bummed but then my daughter picked out a star wars figure and I thought ooh, Star Wars might get some money back with that figure... So I hunted through more and found booklets and parts and came up with all this... Sold all that for $570aus! Also there were a dozen small city sets left for the kids Not sure this is exactly a technic bargain but I guess after buying the extra parts for the technic Ferrari ($10) Ive got that set Now plus $470 cash
  18. Ohh, thanks @2GodBDGlory sounds very interesting, yep hope @Aerolight can tell us more!
  19. There is some great engineering in here! I only just followed everything along...I think. Well done on a very interesting build to get the end product you wanted that also works really well! Can I ask what do you mean when you write ‘home brew motors’? Also loved the bit when you ‘remove’ the bodywork almost by just ripping it off.
  20. Nice model! Should be proud of this one
  21. This is very cool!! (Except the engine that is right in the cabin )
