I post this with hesitation as time is limited in more ways than one and still a lot to work out. I also started the green mower for a previous TC (and promptly withdrew) so hope that it is an acceptable entry if I do get to enter? Blue will change colour as I do not like the patterned fenders. The single engine and cutting blade is ‘powered’ by the rear wheels when pushing the mower through the elastic band. the green mower also turns when you push it but has a clutch to disengage the blade rotation (single piston still turns) as per some real life mowers like this design. 1/6 scale to suit 12” action figures

I was following the results all week because I was excited to be consistently coming 3rd by a couple of points. But then on Sunday, literally the last voter bumped me out to 4th! So hands up who was that last voter on Sunday?…😅 Anyway of course well done to winners and to be honest I’m surprised my quirky build did so well. Thanks for another TC where I’m pushed to finish something 👍

I like seeing builds that replicate real life but seeing creativity of one’s own design is much better IMO. Especially so because there is so much replication at the moment. A breath of fresh air that it got frontpage featured too without being a replica of something (technic does seem to suffer from this for some reason, look at the technic lineup on LEGO.com, which might be a whole subject by itself…)

This is very cool! I love the bendy tracks, it’s a neat technical design that works real well! (I was skeptical until I saw the video 😅)

But it is adorable! All your builds just look so neat! The tracks with the green wheels on the T-Rex you built inspired me to join this contest as they looked just too good so hope it gets finished.

They look real slow in the video which I hadn’t noticed in real life playing with it. super happy with the steering not so happy about only having the old heavy battery box that doesn’t last long.

After re-reading what I wrote I apologise to @Zerobricks for my above comment as it may come across as a bit mean to your entry which was not my intent at all super cars permeate LEGO everywhere so I saw a funny side to the supercar in a tracked vehicle contest but now realise that it may have negative impact on this topic so would like to rectify that as much as possible with this apology. As I did say before and I’ll repeat that, as always, your build is looking very good

Nicely replicated , this will be a big beast!

I had this steering column at first which with the half stud offset near the top was perfect to fit in the bulldozer but of course the tan 4L axels are not held in place so I spent a little while coming up with the grey version which is much better built. Just not as aesthetically pleasing Below was my fist engine attempt but it didn’t work well with power going through the fake engine to the pneumatic pumps at 1:1 So I changed that to this gear setup and flipped the m motor upside down which now works well… although I haven’t tried pumping any pneumatic cylinders yet Squeezing everything in under my favourite olive green panels… it seems to be going well so far. Cut away view… Still lots of tweaking to do, finish the blade, test the pneumatics, maybe stretch the track length a bit or add a couple rollers as they are a little loose for my liking.

A 5.5 long axle would be held in place and only stick out a bit more and could be covered to make it look like a wheel hub. If it doesn’t stick out past the tracks it will look good ? Same for both sides?

First photo reminds me of 8851 B model bulldozer which I always had a soft spot for…(too young for a hard spot) as it was my first technic set. look forward to another dozer as not many dozer MOC’s in my memory.

I have fixed the steering problem! I changed the bulldozer to 9V power which slotted in perfectly to the under chassis I already had due to the ‘vintage’ high lift design in mind. Same brake steering method as before, but works so much better when the tracks are powered instead of pushed! Works great with the steering wheel instead of typical tank steering levers. Very playable Brake steering is located on the higher rotation axles before everything is slowed down and torqued up for the tracks. Forward and backwards direction will be controlled via some lever thing from drivers seat area direct to battery box switch. M motor crammed on top of fake 4 piston engine with vintage steampunk type of vibes pneumatic pumps hanging of either side. This will sit above the diff.

No, because Technic is too difficult to construct already and all us Technic builders are dumbasses and we need all the consistent colour coding we can to help us…bless them.

So brake steering is fail 🙁 I had this setup as braking for each side… Although the ‘brakes’ worked, there was two problems. 1- the tracks don’t supply enough grip on anything other than thick rug/carpet to stop one side turning whilst pushing 2- the small pumps in the tracks gave too much friction in the tracks to make the tracks turn freely enough to allow for the steering to work. So I either give up steering or maybe motorise with the gear steering but not much room and don’t want to be too ambitious and end up with nothing. worked on design layout a bit…
