Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Mark my words, such a thing will never be released Not a single person who doesn’t already own the microscale Hogwarts would buy this one, and that one’s been on the market for 2.5 years, meaning it’s too late. Ninjago City Gardens is able to stand on its own without its long-gone precursors, a Hogwarts add-on that misses the most iconic parts definitely would not -

Maybe I am overreacting, but there aren’t that many ways to read @Falconfan1414’s hint. If it said “don’t hold your breath for MANY DH sets”, that would be different. But since there’s no quantifier, I just read it as “don’t expect any DH sets” Or do you simply mean, we shouldn’t act as if it was a given, but that it was still possible? -

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be disappointed when a pattern like that gets broken, especially when proper DH sets were the thing one was looking forward to the most, which I was during the last 3 years. Sure, they could still get released next year, but there’s now no reason any more to trust any patterns -

I just don’t get the thought process behind the 2-film-per-year-with-some-extras pattern if they just throw it out the window after three years The anniversary wave makes sense, skipping the FINALE that also celebrates its own anniversary does not. Sorry for ranting, but I’ve been looking forward to proper DH sets the moment the theme was brought back, so this is extremely disappointing to me. It’s like cancelling Christmas a week beforehand -

Except in that scenario, DH part 1 would go home empty-handed. AGAIN. -

Nah, every film was covered to some extent, but ROTK got the short end of the stick with only three sets. All of them were great, but the most important battle in that film got no set representation and a lot of key characters were missing If they decide to skip DH, it’s kinda worse because ROTK at least did get some sets. Is DH Griphook seriously all they’re willing to do? Cowards! -

@Falconfan1414: Does that include the D2C set? So it’s either PS Gringotts (hence no dragon) or something else entirely? This theme was doing so well, and now this. I’m getting LOTR flashbacks, and not the good kind -

That doesn’t bode well for DH sets then. I wonder if they’ll be postponed for a year or just skipped altogether Come on TLG, these two films are not THAT dark. Releasing sets with a character that eats freshly-harvested hearts is ok, but DH is too extreme? -

Agreed. Skipping DH would be extremely disappointing to me, especially when you consider that DH1 has already been skipped once before. There is a score that needs to be settled -
I‘ve supported the project as well I don‘t really mind whether it‘s based on the 1971 version or the 2005 one, both are iconic in their own right. I never understood why the remake is hated as much as it is, it doesn’t deserve it one bit(e) in my opinion. Good luck!

The eye brows and the mouth don‘t really match though... I‘m still pretty convinced this is a new face print. The rest of that figure is pretty suspicious, I‘ll give you that -

I‘d advise you to delete this as leaked images aren‘t allowed on EB It‘s a larger version of a pic we‘ve seen yesterday. Wait, is that Dean on the very left? -

Thanks, what a relief I was getting paranoid about that leaked yellow-headed Harry I‘m not too sure how well the regular cat mould will work as a cub of a big cat, but with the right printing it could pan out- 5,839 replies

One last question about the HP sets: the minifigs aren‘t yellow in the preliminary images, right?- 5,839 replies

Yeah, they usually are I assume the minifigs are mostly placeholders as well? And I can’t wait to see how the Basilisk and Fluffy turn out! I definitely would have preferred full moulds, but a combination between brick-built bodies and moulded heads sounds good to me Can you tell how large they are compared to their 2001/2 counterparts?- 5,839 replies

At least they have moulded heads Speaking of Harry Potter: can you tell by the catalogue pictures whether the golden minifigs have yellow heads? Apparently, a yellow version of Harry‘s head leaked and has caused some confusion- 5,839 replies

Does anyone know how non-MCU sets have been treated in recent retailer catalogues? Did they also have placeholder names like the obviously-more-secretive movie-based sets? I'm asking because Itaria has said that the Marvel sets in the May-August catalogue all do have placeholder names. It most likely doesn't mean anything, unless last year's SE sets didn't have them... -

BrickBob Studpants replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Too bad. Thanks for the information Back to the City sets then: After this wave (hopefully) succeeds, I hope TLG finally realise how sought after new animal moulds are and keep releasing more in the future (outside of the Friends theme I mean). We've come a long way, but there's still a lot of potential. The way I see it, with every new animal they're releasing, we're getting one step closer to a LEGO zoo -
