  1. Good one Now I low-key want a baffled Harry minifig
  2. I blame the Snyderverse for the decline of interest in DC as a whole While I’ve personally enjoyed every DC movie so far (because I try to focus on the positives of anything I watch), I can definitely see why the general public doesn‘t care any more. There’s only so much overly-serious grim-dark stuff you can take before getting sick of it. We live in a universe where an Aquaman film grossed almost TWICE as much as a Justice League film, for crying out loud
  3. You’re welcome Agreed. It makes no sense location-wise, but I’m sure the CoS was combined with the GH to give it more widespread appeal. Without that, it would probably look a bit barren (which is why the 2002 version added some small towers for visual flavour). Plus, as has been brought up before, the 2018 GH was originally supposed to have reached EOL status by now. Personally, I like that combination because the minifig selection definitely benefits from it
  4. According to promobricks, the release date of these four sets is September: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-neuheiten-2021/109021/#lego-jurassic-world That would explain why they're not in Itaria's catalogue
  5. That's gonna be tough, considering a lot of last year's activity stemmed from deciphering cowdung clues Maybe the 50+ pages of complaints once the August set list gets revealed can make up for that
  6. I don’t think anyone knows at this point because that sort of thing is not shown in retail catalogues. In all likelihood, we will only find out once official pictures surface
  7. The way I see it, we were used to haute cuisine. Now the waiter tells us secretly to significantly lower our expectations for the next meal. What do we expect now? A new untested menu? A boring steak? A Happy Meal? Leftovers? Microwave food? Two week old catfood mixed with rotten calamari and the contents of an overstuffed ashtray? I dunno
  8. If we lower our expectations enough, the wave won‘t be disappointing any more. The problem is we don‘t know how low to set them
  9. The SE sets were decent, but the repetitive minifig selection got boring very quickly The builds were definitely better than the nonsensical Spider-man vehicles we keep getting
  10. They told us to lower our expectations, not to throw them into the mariana trench
  11. It‘s all over the place, you can‘t miss it
  12. It‘s either him or a copycat, don‘t know which is worse And while the Gollum avatar is quite appropriate, a cave troll would have been more fitting Seems more like a sh*tpost account to me, but be careful it doesn‘t spill over into #legoleaks again, otherwise we won‘t hear the end of it
  13. Not this again. How many times do we have to teach you the same lesson, old man?!
  14. As I‘ve said before, these two situations are not really comparable. One is making inappropriate jokes, the other is trivialising the Holocaust. She simply doesn‘t deserve another chance and should just be recast, preferably with someone who can actually act I‘d take another Darktrooper over a repeat of Cara any day
  15. The list of characters missing from PS/CoS specifically is getting extremely short though... Except for unnamed background characters and random students nobody gives a Kre-O about And the remaining house ghosts, but those are very minor characters. In terms of creatures, there‘s the unicorn (which is only seen DEAD) and Fang, but I think this year’s creature budget has already been depleted anyway with the new moulds for the Basilisk and Fluffy Twice the sets doesn‘t mean twice the budget
  16. Good one And the Dementors shrugged their shoulders (if they have ones) and went home. Or do they actually live there, can‘t remember Keep your torches and pitchforks ready, people
  17. Don‘t you mean July? Black Widow is the one still scheduled for May
  18. I quite like it To me, it gives off some TLBM vibes with its expressiveness
  19. Exactly. Of course I‘m just goofing around with my own lists and comments about other people’s lists, but it‘s seriously for the best if we pretend that there isn‘t a single DH set on the horizon. If there is, we‘ll be pleasantly surprised. If not, we at least aren‘t disappointed
  20. That list is still not bad enough Anything new is still good in most people‘s books, so replace the DH and GoF sets with some PS/CoS remakes and we‘re probably a bit closer to the truth Don‘t take what I‘m saying too seriously though, just having fun with setting the bar for these sets as low as possible
  21. Plot twist: none of them are included in any sets this year Plot twist? More like the final twist of the knive in all the fans’ hearts Just (semi-) kidding. I unironically think that not many on this list have a chance this year, but some might Or CMF S3 next year, but you never know. They seem to enjoy breaking established patterns
  22. Well done, that would be the absolute worst case scenario while still being fairly realistic This indeed looks lovely, but there’s no way they could release something like that below $300 I’m sure the set we’re getting will be worth it, we just shouldn’t compare it to this fan design
  23. That’s near the top of my wishlist as well, one of the few things both of the previous iterations of the theme included that this one is still missing. Granted, the 2010/11 one was technically just Lucius and the 2007 one had no torso print and was supposed to represent an actual Death Eater and the RoR dummy both at once I hope they release a battle-pack type set at one point, maybe even an accessory pack or something. This year’s will probably be Quidditch-based, so maybe next year
  24. Same. But we need to be realistic here, after that warning it makes no sense to be excited about that wave anymore, it would only set us up for disappointment This is why we should focus on the June stuff instead, at least we know what we’re getting there. And it sounds like it holds the same level of quality we’re used to with this theme Speaking of which: has anyone mentioned the way the windows of the Honeydukes shop are constructed, because stonewars described it in their article Apparently it’s going to be printed half-cylinder pieces, similar to how a lot of the windows in DA were done, albeit with different shapes. Maybe this helps us to estimate the size of the Hogsmeade buildings a bit better
  25. I also don’t want this topic to escalate, but just this: Gunn was fired over some old unfunny jokes that resurfaced. What Carano did is FAR worse, so bad in fact there’s no coming back from that Adding a second copy of a fig to a set shouldn’t be that hard, considering that set production hasn’t begun yet. The real issues are the packaging and the instruction manuals. Those leak very rarely, so it’s hard to tell how far in advance they start production, but it might be sooner than the actual bricks
