Pointless in terms of the story I mean Of course not every character needs to be super important to deserve to be a part of the story, but once said story gets adapted into a more time-condensed medium, decisions need to be made and those minor characters are the first to go. I don't actively dislike them, it's just that it doesn't bother me when they get very little screen time or no minifig representation

Beats me But in the end, does it really matter if the line is said by pointless character #43 or pointless character #95? Sure, but they’re far from essential. Nice to have as minifigs, but that’s about it

And I’m not dissing minor characters in general, I care about a lot of background characters in the franchises I like This goes for the books, movies, and minifigs alike. They’re just boring any way you slice it. It’s like someone forcefully inserted my former classmates into a story. Who wants to see or read about them

Maybe, but if they don‘t recover from this dip in quality, they may just as well not bother I would‘ve liked DH sets on par with the 2018-2020 range, not whatever nightmares the August wave will bring It‘s like this year‘s January Star Wars wave: after that disappointment, I don‘t expect them to suddenly bring battle packs back and reduce the amount of remakes next year. It could happen, but I‘m not counting on it

I wouldn‘t go that far For me, the theme has just been brought down to the level of the other mixed-bag-themes I collect. I don‘t necessarily fear for the theme’s future, it‘s just that I no longer trust it as much as I used to
