  1. Looks like we have something to discuss again Promobricks have updated their set list with piece counts and European prices: 76392: 876 pcs, 69.99€ 76393: 1673 pcs, 129.99€ 76394: 597 pcs, 39.99€ 76395: 264 pcs, 29.99€ The release date for all of them is supposedly June Probably a mix-up, but now we at least know the piece counts. I wonder why 76393 has almost 500 pieces more than 76389 despite being 10€ cheaper
  2. Agreed. Now that the DCEU is over (sort of), maybe they can start making films again that appeal to a wider audience than that grimdark nonsense of the Snyder era, which then opens the door for better sets as well Most kids don't care about the comics (and who can blame them when knowing 70 years of continuity is pretty much a requirement at this point), so it's the movies or cartoons that have to pull them in and I very highly doubt any pre-Aquaman film in the DCEU really managed to do that. A second TLBM isn't coming, so it's up to the DC live-action films to make sure kids get invested in the theme again
  3. Has to be the former, since with 3 sets based on The Batman, 2022 is already looking up Payback for 2017/2018 when DC got a TON of sets thanks to TLBM
  4. Boy, are you on the wrong website then Leaks and rumours are what keeps these threads alive, without them there'd be hardly anything to discuss
  5. A bit of patience is apparently too much to ask for Depends on the theme, I guess. The Spider-man one was pretty generous in that regard This makes me wonder what minifigs we could have gotten in the last two years if TRU was still around. The Bricktober packs were a lot more interesting...
  6. They’re undeniably helping us by making sure we’re keeping our expectations on track And there’s nothing to imply they actually enjoy possessing info they cannot share Masochists perhaps Prefering delusional dreams over reality is not very rational I’d rather have a Death Eater/Dementor/Snatcher pack, but I realise that’s not very realistic Or a pack filled with random wizards to inhabit DA or Hogsmeade.
  7. Not this again You’re not allowed to create more than one account on EB. Way to betray your source’s trust The leakers don’t have selfish motives as you insinuate, on the contrary, it’s about protecting their sources (projecting much?) Without our leakers, most of us would stil be expecting lots of DH sets. I’m very grateful our expectations were lowered to soften the blow
  8. The Marvin minifig leaked
  9. Looks like stacking the posing pieces is no longer a fan-exclusive thing That’s a pretty clever way to depict the rings, though half of them are missing Maybe an identical build is in the other set?
  10. Love that dragon Who or what is Morris though and why is it unprinted like that?
  11. I assume it’s the same process as with any other licensed product: the designers pitch ideas which are then discussed with the licenser. Interestingly, the designers have managed to overrule the licenser before. The best example is Krennic’s Shuttle from Rogue One, where the designers got their way. Lucasfilm originally wanted them to do the Zeta-class cargo shuttle instead
  12. 1) As far as we know, the date hasn’t changed, so yes 2) No, it’ll be the new version of the ‘66 Batman that recently leaked. 3) Since the set is based on the ‘66 show, the Joker will mostly likely wear the dark pink suit
  13. Those words... Is it even possible to use them in a sentence together like that? Agreed, but for a different reason, I want to see that Basilisk
  14. Maybe the real Gringotts is all the UCS Dobby's sock jokes we made along the way
  15. Of course it’s free marketing, but most companies still like to be in control of how the public gets to know about upcoming products. Just an example: they obviously put in a lot of effort last year to promote the DA set, including hiring the Phelps brothers, creating the QR code AR experience, and including a secret box with the extra stand and PS Harry minifig. The leaks kinda sorta ruined that
  16. Sure, but my point was that licensers probably aren’t too happy with LEGO sets leaking as often as they do, regardless of whether it’s upcoming films or 20 year old ones, the former just makes it worse Leaks concerning “old” films are pretty harmless all things considered, but I get why they’re still a thorne in TLG’ and its licensers’ sides because they undercut their marketing efforts. They can’t control leaks, and thus lose control over the narrative somewhat
  17. TLG only owe you what you purchase from them though Being customers, they don’t owe us confidential information. Sure it’s not that important on a global scale, however it is essential to them as a licensee. I imagine most licensers aren’t too happy when upcoming products get leaked so often, especially when as-of-yet unreleased movies are involved
  18. I love olive green, so I don’t really care all that much about how accurate it is. Similar to Jabba or Smaug, who both might not have the most accurate colours out there but I still couldn’t imagine with any other colour scheme ...why do I have a feeling someone on the design team is monitoring us and will make the set happen at one point just to troll us? (Preferably as a GWP of course) That’s definitely something I would do
  19. Overdramatic? Definitely. Toxic? Nah Unless it’s toxic to make fun of a wave of LEGO sets by coming up with ludricously bad set lists
  20. I readily admit that I was among the drama queens, but hearing about that wave after looking forward to it as much as I did was a pretty big blow. Of course I’m fully aware we’re just talking about mere toys here, but this year’s HP sets were the thing I was looking forward the most for the entire year after my other hobbies were forced to take a backseat thanks to Covid So I apologise if I annoyed anyone with my occassional hyperbolic comment
  21. I do hope so, but we thought the same thing about Gringotts last year. We can never be too sure since TLG work in mysterious ways And if they don’t release DH sets next year, we at least get to see a man devouring his own hand. That sure is gonna be a sight to behold
  22. I think the opposite is the case, having them in the smallest set makes them far more likely to appear in the polybag too, compared to every other animal in this subtheme
