Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
How reliable is that source that reported the alleged 2022 set list? There's interesting bits of information for some other themes too, in case they're trustworthy... -

Well, there goes the golden minifig At least it doesn’t include Harry for once -

Harsh. Of course they‘re both extremely goofy and impossible to take seriously, but that’s part of the fun, for me at least B&R in particular is essentially a parody, and enjoyably bad in my opinion. Schwarzenegger‘s Freeze just cracks me up I agree with @THELEGOBATMAN, we definitely need sets for them at some point. People may not remember them as fondly as the Burton movies, but they still deserve a handful of sets, preferably in the same style as the recent 60‘s set -

The Forge is 75319, whereas the mystery set is 75369 Let‘s hope it‘s something based on Mando, TCW, or BB (if it hasn‘t been cancelled, that is) -

Given that they've just revealed all of the remaining Marvel sets this year (minus the CMF series), it's probably not too far-fetched to think that the $40 Tumbler might get unveiled very soon too -

TLG are officially revealing sets scheduled for August and even October left and right, so we hopefully don‘t have to wait too long before we get to see the Mando Forge (and that mystery set, if it‘s still coming) -

TLG is on a roll today, first the August sets and now this The Homecoming set is a bit weird with the golden web pieces and that vehicle, but other than that, these are impressive! My favourite aspects are the new plastic cape, the various random trinkets (e.g. the hourglass), and of course the updated minifigs -
Very strange indeed since this marks the first time they‘re releasing an unlicensed car in this scale. It‘s a great set nonetheless, can‘t wait to add it to my Creator Expert car collection Too bad the Delorean rumour was wrong though. Some still hope it was just a set number switcheroo, but since there’s also a rumoured VW bus coming soon, that’s not likely in my opinion. 3 cars is already pushing it, can’t imagine a fourth one being released this year. I wonder how that happened as it can‘t be explained away by simple miscommunication

Maybe? But they're saying themselves that this is the reason AND they have all the sales figures to base that statement upon, which we don't Of course the sets would still sell to a degree even if there aren't any movies around, but it's not hard to see why the media coverage of a franchise correlates with toy sales. No movies means no commercials means no kids are talking about it means less profit But hey, zero kid-friendly DC movies this year, and yet we're still getting some decent sets. Could be worse if you ask me -

Kids don‘t care about the comics (which isn‘t surprising, given how high the threshold is to enter the hobby), so they have to rely on the movies to sell sets, even comic-based ones. No movies, no tie-in sets, simple as that -

Sounds plausible I hope the minifigs start leaking soon, we need something to reignite the discussion here -

What should they have done then? Scrap all plans and quickly reveal another set instead? That’s not realistic in the slightest, especially since that would have required approval from Lucasfilm too If you were expecting the Gunship, frankly, that’s on you. Falconfan and others have said weeks ago that we shouldn’t expect it to be revealed -

Us Marvel fans complain about the 5 course meal we‘re getting, while DC fans lie on the floor, crying into their table scraps I’m not saying we’re not allowed to criticise the sets / CMF series, but we should consider how much worse we could have it -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
It‘s fine to have that opinion, but isn‘t it weird that half of the people contributing to this thread use it to express their wish that Adventurers should return instead? That‘d be like hijacking the Star Wars thread to announce that you‘d rather see the Classic Space theme return Or wishing for Harry Potter to be cancelled so Castle can return… in the HP thread Granted, this is just a speculation thread, but still -

It definitely was a mistake. Why else would they take it down and re-upload it soon thereafter with those few pages removed? -

I sure hope so And by only including one in the Cruiser they made sure a BP would sell like hotcakes The only thing I’m not sure about is what they else they’d include. Maybe an officer/Stormie plus a weapon stand or a made-up speeder of sorts -

Hehe, no worries I would also like to see the Adventurers theme return one day, just not at the expense of Indy -

Which suggests to me that we'll see her her again in a future set, and this time with a hairpiece instead -

Guys. Why is everyone acting like it’s a fact that the term “slave” is what led TLG to rename the set? There’s zero evidence for that And don’t say, it’s because of “Slave Leia” being rebranded as “Huttslayer Leia” (which is more badass anyway ). Something tells me there may be another reason why Disney doesn’t want a chained-up woman being dressed in that outfit being referred to as a “slave”, if you catch my drift -

UCS Gunship, Duel on Mandalore, and Mandalorian Starfighter: “Are we a joke to you?” I think some of the Slave One arguments are a bit far-fetched. The name change being the result of marketing decisions (easier to google) is a good enough explanation already -

While a dual-moulded hairpiece would’ve been preferable, this solution isn’t bad IMO At least the hair colour is accurate -

Probably too early, just as @krimimimi says. However, since the set appears to include new minifigs, they might start leaking soon The first DA minifigs leaked in the middle of last July, didn’t they? -

How about an object to represent each of the student main characters? That would explain where the buildable Remembrall rumour came from Good to hear that us minifig collectors will be pleased, so I guess we can expect some new variants then -
