  1. If they were really this unwilling to try, then why did they include the Gunship in the vote in the first place? Doesn‘t that (plus the amount of TCW sets) prove they‘re willing to give the PT era another shot? Of course, nobody should be surprised that we won‘t see another PT UCS set anytime soon if the Gunship doesn‘t succeed, so we should make sure it does and put our money where our mouths are
  2. There's one last chance though: after all, the Mando Forge also hasn't been officially revealed yet Then again, we've known about that one for months, and still no peep about the unknown set. I guess we should adjust our expectations accordingly You're braver than I am
  3. Good question. I thought they‘d use the Uruk-hai sword piece like in the Sanctuary II set, but apparently not Most of the newer Ninjago-exclusive weapon pieces come in accessory bags, so it has to be an older piece, unless they want to bombard us with bonus weapons
  4. Huh, you‘re right. Looks like another „dress“ situation
  5. Eh, I can live with that. Better than a crowned baby alligator that can‘t be used for anything else or one with a very noticable accessory hole right in the centre of its head
  6. The helicopter/drone accessory is an excellent idea, and so is the Darkhold Wonder why the cover‘s allegedly transparent though, maybe to make it more spooky? I‘m a sucker for transparent parts though, so no complaints from me Oh. What book is it then? Philosophy for dummies?
  7. Yes. It’s not the best nickname in the world, but the only one I‘ve seen so far that somewhat works Lokigator sounds silly (more like a misguided Gatorade mascot) and Croki is just plain wrong
  8. Until they catch on and start using that hashtag as well There‘s no way to avoid it on IG, except for following the leakers directly
  9. I think the usual suspect is to blame here: concept art
  10. They‘re very clearly not. As the name already says, UCS sets are intended for collectors as highly-detailed display models while regular playsets are designed with children in mind. I fail to see how that‘s supposed to be the same thing
  11. Not a bad idea, but they seriously would have to come up with some techniques to make sure the middle wings don‘t droop after a while, an issue that has plagued both of the previous models and could be even worse at this scale Maybe a sort of technic skeleton hidden within the wings, but then the set would have to be pretty large
  12. I wonder what accessory he‘ll get, if that bit of information is correct in the first place. Considering some of the other accessories in this series (like Goki), it could almost be anything from the show, regardless of how much sense it makes Sparky anyone?
  13. Yeah, I wonder why they went with AOTC Expecting a UCS gunship to be based on ROTS is like expecting a UCS AT-ST based on TESB
  14. Good question. The Falcon is pretty flat, so that one's a lot easier to handle in that regard That's definitely what Jang would say Oh btw, another magnificently fake 2022 set list has just surfaced on IG. Once again, from a user with one post. Getting desperate again, huh
  15. Nope, but it baffles me every time @everyone who didn't jump (gun)ship: Where/how will you display yours? Since the usual approach won't cut it, I'll put mine on a Detolf shelf in the middle of the room The wingspan is a big larger than expected, so I hope it'll still work out
  16. Indeed. Also, why are people this surprised about it? I know not everyone is following the rumours, but we've known for months how large the set would be (canopy size, part count, price) and even the minifig selection had been rumoured for months, and turned out to be accurate. Were people secretly hoping for all of the information to be false? If so, they don't have anyone to blame but themselves. Funny how some people only seem to believe the rumours they personally like
  17. Where can I request this to be my new title? Back then, no UCS sets included minifigs. At least Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter featured R4-P17's head And what's so terrible about that set?
  18. I‘d put this in the same category as misprints. Can be valuable in the eyes of some hardcore collectors, but there is no inherent value to it, unlike the Osprey or the Finch Dallow minifig
  19. ...scalpers will go crazy, won't they? Good thing there's an order limit on s@h Pretty ironic for a forum about construction toys Agreed. I'm always curious about background info like that
  20. You mean because it's just online and has little chance of affecting anything in real life? To me at least, it's about principles. Online death threats rarely mean anything either, but you still have to treat them somewhat seriously. Same thing here. Also, people seem to forget that some of the designers frequent forums like ours (I think Hans Schlömer does too, doesn't he? I faintly remember him commenting about the Hoth set). Imagine putting a lot of care into designing a huge set like that and then reading comments that call for you to be fired. Won't happen, but still not a nice thing to read, is it
  21. Ridiculous statements deserve to be ridiculed. Feel free to disagree, but I've seen plenty of comments online calling for the designers and other employees to be fired over this (some even in this thread). This is so common in the SW fandom that terms like "the fandom menace" or "fandumb" have good reason to exist I'm not saying the set is above criticism, but I draw the line when someone's livelihood is threatened over something like this
  22. Sam‘s also smiling, and Spidey too, maybe They‘re just that happy to be part of the first-ever Marvel CMF series
  23. „Dear Mr Schlömer, For the unforgivably vile crime against humanity of publicly stating that nobody cares about the differences between two CLONES with yellow markings, you are hereby sentenced to death. Also, you‘re fired.“ The Star Wars fandumb in a nutshell
  24. So what you're telling us is that this is an empty picture? Sorry, I had to
  25. Nothing shady about that IMO, it‘s just how business works: if you want more of the thing, buy the thing If you want to see a sequel to movie X, watch movie X
