  1. Hey, no Dominion spoilers please Putting Owen and Claire in CC-themed sets is definitely a bit silly, but at least it’s not like they’ve replaced anything we could have gotten instead. We’re getting all 6 main characters from the show, which is good enough for me Sure, there are other characters in CC, but they probably weren’t considered as minifig candidates anyway, regardless of TLG’s obsession with the clone army
  2. Every leaker on IG says so, including FalconFan, brick_clicker, and lego_fulcrum So I’d prepare the cutlery if I were you
  3. Looks like the mystery has been solved, thanks to the new Queer Eye set rumour: the hairpiece fits Tan France to a tee
  4. Agreed. The usual order for new troopers is regular set -> BP -> AC. They wouldn't skip BPs like that, especially not if the minifig is THIS new
  5. That was my first thought when the set leaked, but despite the teaser on Twitter I don't think there's a ST set coming this year At least none of the leakers believe there is, and TLG probably would've revealed the set by now or posted another teaser. It's been exactly one month now and still radio silence, which isn't their MO A bit exaggerated perhaps, but it's indeed not a bad fit
  6. Has to be a coincidence. @Clone OPatra’s copy for instance instead had McGonagall in that bag, and I can’t recall which bag it was in mine Maybe he has a slightly higher probability to appear in that bag as a joke, but that would still be random
  7. That’s actually what a lot of us who lamented the minifig selection of the 1HY sets were saying Only 2 truly unique minifigs across the entire wave at the time, one of which was bound to appear in every subsequent Mando set, leaving one exclusive minifig (Dodonna). And sure enough, it happened
  8. There, FTFY Korg is in a bit of a thankless position I think. He doesn't work properly, neither as a minifig, nor as a bigfig Personally, I'm just glad we're getting him at all
  9. Based on this, I'm confident some people will now believe that Korg's going to be a bigfig (new Thanos mould + regular minifig head + head attachment), but that doesn't make much sense. Not only would the head look comically small, the set is also way too inexpensive for a bigfig to be included In all likelihood, Korg is still a minifig Edit: Just realised that the AoU Hulkbuster set was also $30 The other point still stands though
  10. If you’re able to ignore the purple background, sure
  11. It’s not only an excellent set with a beautiful message, it’s also very enjoyable to put together You don’t often get to see a pile of bricks this colourful in one set Still can’t help but wonder what that blue hairpiece was initially designed for, it has to show up elsewhere rather soon… I’ve seen Kramer from the Seinfeld Ideas set come up a couple of times, but after having seen the piece first-hand, that option doesn’t really fit IMO
  12. They're a bit too large to work as trading cards in-universe, more like trading posters A sales stand is still a neat idea though Harsh.
  13. How do you guys display the golden minifigs and the chocolate frog card tiles? I decided to sacrifice one of my precious trans-clear 16x16 baseplates which I usually reserve for the licensed CMF series: Not sure what to do with the spares though In the spare part box they go...?
  14. Agreed. Chase collectibles are just the worst! I’m so glad TLG doesn’t participate in those artificial scarcity shenanigans… for the most part, at least. (They shall not be forgiven for Mr Gold ) So while getting duplicates is annoying, at least the tiles are completely randomised with equal rarities.
  15. Thank you, this is hilarious I don’t get the complaints here, what’s wrong with the main character of a show being in multiple sets? *Anyone who has ever collected DC, Marvel, Harry Potter, Minecraft, Jurassic World, Pirates of the Caribbean, and/or Indiana Jones sets*: WELCOME TO OUR WORLD, SUCKAS!
  16. Personally, I would’ve prefered to have a second Fennec in the Slave I. I don’t think the version in the cruiser will have a hairpiece, so this would’ve been a good opportunity for that
  17. Yes, they're completely randomised Funnily enough, I also had a Lockhart card in my copy of the CoS set, but I can't recall which bag it was. Speaking of cards: I was pretty unlucky and got three copies of Picquery in that same set After building all of the new sets, I now stand at 10 unique cards. The AC includes two, so unless the D2C comes with at least 10 of them I don't think I'll be able to get all of them without Bricklink. I'll wait for the remaining 2 sets to release before doing so, however Bricklinking them at this point would suck out all of the fun
  18. This is the Internet It’s sad, but there’s a reason ‘/s’ is a thing
  19. Exactly. Moreover, the Central Perk set was released two years ago, so long before the Iron Monger set even entered development, making a mix-up impossible
  20. I think we’ll see the sets before the event, and TLG seem to agree After all, the announcement includes “a closer look” at the sets rather than “a reveal” thereof (unlike the Republic Gunship), implying they won’t be first revealed there TLG have probably realised they can’t keep regular retail sets a secret for that long, so might as well drop the pretense
  21. That’d be my preference too, but after these comments by the designers, I’m not so sure anymore If we end up getting DH sets, it’s hard to imagine them not including at least 2 sets based on the earlier instalments in the same wave, just like they did last year with the Privet Drive set. Moreover, the designers view this year’s sets as a soft reboot, implying that remakes aren’t off-limits I wouldn’t be surprised if PS Hagrid’s Hut was on the horizon
  22. A large online retailer in Switzerland does sell it, but I haven’t seen it anywhere else. Granted, I’ve only been to one toy shop and one physical retailer since the set was released, but it still seems rather rare The tag on s@h says “exclusive” rather than “hard to find”, so it may be a while before it finds its way into other stores
  23. Sniping a sniper ain’t easy Besides, TLG leaked the catalogue themselves, so going after people who reposted it doesn’t seem worthwhile to me
  24. While I don't agree with the "DH is too dark for sets" argument, I can't really find fault with the designers' reasoning here that the DH movies don't lend themselves to toys on the same level as the earlier films do. That said, sets based on the Gringotts sequence and the Battle of Hogwarts would still be objectively good choices, both from a kids and collectors perspectives. If they released these two plus a couple of important characters in CMF form, I wouldn't complain So what I'm hoping next year will bring are more Moments sets, 2 PS/CoS sets, 2 PoA/GoF sets, 2 playsets based on FB3, a buildable Niffler, a Battle of Hogwarts set, and a Gringotts D2C. In essence, I want them to completely abandon the two-films-per-year-with-some-extras structure and go wild
  25. Did that show murder your family or something? I know Resistance isn't particularly well-received in comparison to the other three animated shows, but putting it below GoT S8 is just needlessly mean It's a pretty harmless show overall (its lack of teeth is what bothered me the most), and I can't recall it undoing 7 seasons of previous character development, pulling plot points out of thin air and rushing everything to the breaking point. I just wish we got the Fireball instead of Black Ace
