  1. But I’m coming after you Just kidding. Actually, I want a phase II Cody as much as the next guy, but what I was getting at in my last post was the levels of obsession with him that I fail to understand. The list of missing characters is still pretty long, and I don’t think any of the other characters or versions on there have ever resulted in reactions like this Some of the other missing characters have a lot more impact on the story (Boss Nass, members of the separatist council, Saw Guerrera, Dryden Vos, L3, Nien Nunb, TROS senate), and he’s not the only missing clone with unique armour (Crosshair). Is it a bandwagon sort of deal?
  2. The Gunship got 58% of the votes, according to starwars.com Sounds a lot more reasonable than the suggested 90%
  3. Can someone explain to me why this many people are obsessed with Phase II Cody? He’s got like two scenes (and lines) in ROTS and that’s about it I know SW fans constantly obsess over minute details, but this is pushing it, even for this fandumb. I can get behind being annoyed by many missing characters (heck, I myself am pretty miffed about Crosshair), but what is it about Cody in particular? His character? He only really gets developed in TCW, and we have that version. Or is it simply the design? It’s cool enough, but not worth all this ruckus
  4. Not sure what the alternatives are for the two licensed series next year. Last year’s DC one apparently didn’t do too well, so probably no follow-up there, and Marvel will likely take a break. So unless there’s a new franchise being covered, my money’s on Disney S3 and HP S3
  5. Huh, weird. Because in the official images, it’s the correct emblem
  6. We don’t know yet The only list that’s floating around is laughably fake
  7. The minifig situation is once again blown out of proportion (not here of course, I mean among fans in general). I don’t get why so many people think the vote was binding, it didn’t specify anywhere that the most-voted minifigs would make it into the set. And for good reason: it’s the Internet, and a binding open-ended voting would be a horrible idea (e.g. trolls banding together to vote for Darth Jar Jar or some nonsense). The way I see it, the purpose of the vote was likely to gauge what kind of constellation people wanted (two jedi, two clones, or one each). One jedi and one clone seems like a reasonable result of that
  8. Love it Can’t wait for better pictures tomorrow
  9. And in both cases the second series reportedly sold much worse Every series since that got a follow-up had a break in-between, which is a good thing IMO. I definitely wouldn't mind a second series, but in 2023 at the earliest
  10. Definitely, it’s just $170 Huh, hadn’t thought of that. Would certainly make more sense than nanofigs
  11. Why would they willingly jeopardise the sales of the current Mario line? The only way for them to release minifigs without self-cannibalism would be a D2C set, with Peach’s castle being the most likely candidate. Since the set won’t include any by the looks of it, they just blew their one chance, at least the way I see it
  12. Both stonewars and brickfanatics have picked up on the rumour and the former pretty much confirms it, so at this point it’s bound to happen Stonewars also confirm the release date as August 1st, so the reveal has to be imminent! Stonewars are speculating about the potential nanofigs, but this doesn’t make much sense to me, even though it’s a microscale set. Accurate nanofigs would also require new moulds, so why not spend that budget directly on new minifig parts instead Not sure how well this set will sell if it indeed doesn’t include any minifigs. I’ll buy it day one, but that would definitely sting since I feel that this is our only chance
  13. Indeed, but the original post has since been deleted and no reliable leaker has confirmed it, so the jury's still out on that one
  14. I'm afraid September is a bit more likely since there's also the rumoured Queer Eye set, and I doubt they'd release 4 D2C sets at once. As for the rest of the year, October is already pretty busy with the recently announced pickup truck plus the rumoured Tumbler, whereas November will mark the release of the AT-AT and the Titanic. September is not that busy with the only scheduled D2C set being the Hogwarts Icons Collection. Considering all that, my money's on September
  15. Or it’s yet another sad attempt at stirring up a nonsensical controversy My money is on the Jurassic World gyrosphere pieces
  16. Lemme guess: a sergeant with orange instead of olive green markings? Well, that would explain that Jyn Erso hint
  17. Everyone is entitled to their opinions of course and you don’t have to like the minifigs, but I’m pretty curious to hear the arguments here What does “too detailed” mean to you? Too many lines? Too fine printing? Too much printing (arms and side-legs)?
  18. Got it, the gunship now delivers produce to grocery stores all over the galaxy. Or maybe it can be turned into a drone to transport oranges in real life
  19. Indeed. New moulds, dual-moulded AND printed arms and legs, even side-leg prints in some cases. And that’s somehow still not enough?
  20. That hint about something being orange still mystifies me. Sounds like something is miscoloured, but no idea what it could be. It can‘t be the general colour scheme because no on-screen version of the gunship has that colour. Granted, we‘ve had plenty of weirdly-coloured vehicles before, but making a mistake this severely after almost 20 years would be supremely silly It can‘t be noseart because the set has to be based on AOTC The clone having orange markings would be weird too for the same reason Maybe the jedi minifig (if it isn‘t Windu) is somehow orange? Orange robes? An orange lightsaber? Or maybe the gunship has stickers all over it to represent the Geonosian dust, similar to how the rust effect of last year’s Ecto-1 set was done.
  21. If you‘re referring to that „leak“, that was just a prank Or has that really been confirmed somewhere? People need to realise that voting for a thing online is not the same thing as actually buying said thing. No offense, as ridiculous as the 90% claim is, even if that was the case, it wouldn’t guarantee great sales figures. Just look at the Bionicle Ideas project: it got the initial votes, but fell through the Bricklink Designer Program due to a lack of support. Some people really just show up for the memes and nothing else
  22. I also prefer the Finn hairpiece, but I‘ll never complain about new hairpieces being introduced It‘s pretty easy to replace it after all
  23. That doesn‘t really make much sense though, especially the „majority“ part. If PT/TCW sets really outsold anything else, why are OT sets still so dominant? If they were prefered to such an extend among the core audience, you‘d think TLG would have noticed by now My theory, if you can call it that, is that hardcore PT fans are very vocal online, but don‘t have that much of an influence sales-wise
  24. Thanks for the reminder Randomly selecting a picture on IG and checking its comment section 2 minutes after the reveal should be enough to fill in the card Time to get the popcorn ready There's also the Nintendo D2C set, but that one may just as well be a September release for all we know
  25. All I‘m requesting in terms of FB3 is a minifig based on Mikkelsen‘s Grindelwald. He‘s one of my favourite actors and long overdue to get a minifig, given how many big film franchises he‘s now a part of. Between FB3 and Indy 5, it just has to work out this time Of course I thought the same thing in 2016 with Rogue One and Doctor Strange, but still
