  1. Sam‘s also smiling, and Spidey too, maybe They‘re just that happy to be part of the first-ever Marvel CMF series
  2. „Dear Mr Schlömer, For the unforgivably vile crime against humanity of publicly stating that nobody cares about the differences between two CLONES with yellow markings, you are hereby sentenced to death. Also, you‘re fired.“ The Star Wars fandumb in a nutshell
  3. So what you're telling us is that this is an empty picture? Sorry, I had to
  4. Nothing shady about that IMO, it‘s just how business works: if you want more of the thing, buy the thing If you want to see a sequel to movie X, watch movie X
  5. I assume you mean ST? Well, call me ‚no-one‘ then I definitely wouldn‘t mind a UCS T-70 X-Wing (Poe‘s black one in particular), TIE Silencer or Kylo‘s shuttle. And technically, we already have a ST UCS set After how well the last one was received, I doubt that
  6. It‘s the nickname for the 1x2 masonry brick, aka the brick that looks like a real-life stack of bricks in a wall
  7. Unsurprisingly, if you want more PT UCS sets, you’d better buy the Gunship https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-star-wars-designers-if-you-want-more-prequels-sets-buy-75309-republic-gunship/ Of course this means that a potential follow-up is pretty far away, considering how long UCS sets take to design Venator in 2023 anyone?
  8. Not sure if this has been brought up before, but a white version of the 1x2 „brick brick“ is available on bricks and pieces. So far, it hasn‘t been found in any sets, so it’s very likely to debut in Peach‘s castle (or maybe in the Queer Eye set, whichever gets released first)
  9. Frankly, that’s their own fault. UCS sets have existed for more than twenty years now, so people should’ve known what that entails
  10. Of course it’s just unpopular in comparison to the other two choices, but I’m a bit surprised how far behind it ended up It was always going to lose, no doubt about that
  11. I wish there was a way to like comments on EB Now, I’m imagining Pitt, Clooney, or DiCaprio yelling at their managers on the phone to make sure they get a role that guarantees them a minifig “I’ve told you before, Dave, nobody cares about Oscars anymore, where’s my &@€@!?’€ MINIFIG?!?!”
  12. A lot of licensed CMF series have coincided with a D2C set (Simpsons, HP, Disney), which is why people think it’s a prerequisite, which is not really the case. It’s more of a myth actually: There’s no Looney Tunes D2C set, and yet we got a series. Same goes for last year’s DC series or TLBM S2. The Marvel series is specifically based on the Disney+ shows, without any tie-in sets for three of these shows Whether there’s a HP S3 has nothing to do with the existence of a D2C set next year (or lack thereof)
  13. Seeing the name of a polybag you designed as a sticker on a real polybag must indeed be pretty surreal Still not sure how that happened. Maybe the store owner found your custom, thought it was real, entered the set number and name into their database, and just didn‘t update the entry when the real polybag got revealed
  14. No offense, and I know it’s hyperbole, but I‘m glad most people on the Internet won‘t ever be employers because what makes it onto their lists of fireable offenses is just laughable Besides, what makes you think somebody else wrote his answers for him? Ouch. This doesn‘t bode well for a small-scale model either, does it? Then again, they did include it in the vote, so they‘ve had to be somewhat confident that people might want one
  15. Antonio Banderas has been cast in the film, so we finally have a chance to see him immortalised as a minifig About time if you ask me!
  16. Dang it, now you‘ve put this idea into my head Up until now, my picks would have been Disney S3 and HP S3 without a shadow of a doubt, but I would readily sacrifice either of them for an Indy series Though since Indy‘s a Disney IP now, it would have to replace Disney S3, if it were to happen. The reduced roster of 12 could easily be filled with variants, villains, henchmen and companions. Fingers crossed!! That‘s not the only reason though. I think it‘s been discussed in the JW threads before, but a JP/JW series would be totally pointless since they couldn‘t include dinos Unless every character comes with a different baby velociraptor
  17. Nope. We‘re still waiting for proper set lists for any theme since the ones we currently have are either bogus (Star Wars) or pretty suspicious (City, Ninjago, Marvel). Can‘t take that much longer though for the real ones to surface, or so I hope
  18. Figured as much. Weird that it doesn‘t launch with the rest of the sets this time, but August is already incredibly busy
  19. A store on bricklink Well, that would definitely explain it Dang it, I got really excited for a minute there!
  20. Sure I swear I didn't make this up
  21. Umm, this might be nothing, but I've found something very intriguing on the back of my copy of the Shang-Chi polybag: A sticker that says "Red Guardian's breakout" So it's either a joke, or there really was supposed to be a Black Widow polybag at some point and it got replaced by the Shang-Chi polybag since they share set numbers. Or it got assigned a new set number and it's still coming? Any ideas?
  22. The only obvious issue with S3 is the reduced amount of minifigs. 12 is nowhere near enough to provide us with all of the missing characters/versions that are unlikely to appear in sets (like anything based on DH, sadly enough). They could make an exception again for FB3 and beef up the roster, but I‘m definitely not counting on that
  23. Exactly. If the rumoured release date is correct, there‘s no way minifigs are involved because they would have leaked eons ago, especially when you consider the amount of new moulds that would be required. Same goes for newly-moulded nanofigs I just hope something to represent the characters is included at all, no matter what it is (well, except cardboard cutouts maybe ). The castle would feel pretty lifeless otherwise
  24. Don’t worry, it’s not a spoiler since we’ve known about Zombie Cap for quite a while now He’s part of the upcoming What if…? animated show that will also feature other zombi-fied Marvel characters
  25. On the one hand, this would definitely be a good thing since the PT has a lot of interesting vehicle designs that would make for appealing UCS sets. On the other hand, I wouldn’t want to experience the same minifig discussion every time …What do you mean there’s no Wat Tambor in the oversized UCS Jedi Interceptor?!
