Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Part of me desperately wants this to be Gringotts, the other part thinks there’s no way they’d release an add-on that costs more than the original set Then again, the possibilities aren’t exactly endless with a pricetag like that, it has to be something with a big enough draw -

A $470 set?! I was expecting a $250 D2C set at most, so colour me surprised Apart from that one, the price distribution appears to be rather similar to this year’s. I’m definitely counting on more buildable creatures and objects. This would be a good opportunity for that overdue Niffler -

The new Iron Man figure looks much better in person I have to say Oh, and the Gargantos set cleverly uses the new dish piece introduced in the Hogwarts Icons set for its sclera -

We’re getting a Percy minifig in a book next year, new face print and all The Nakia/young Lando hairpiece also appears to be new in dark orange, excellent choice for him IMO Not sure whether the torso is also new -

The argument of trolls voting for Jar-Jar doesn‘t hold water either, because the results of the vote weren‘t immediately visible. Trolls only pose a real problem in votes with open results, which encourages them to continue because they see the fruits of their „labour“. In this case, they were blind, which isn‘t fun for them Just look at youtube: watching a big channel’s subscription counter go down live or disliking bad videos is not fun anymore since the former has been disabled and the latter been hidden. Same principle here -

Exactly. The HP sets sell so well, they can surely release a „risky“ FB set or two Even if us in this thead were the only people on Earth who bought that Grindelwald set, how costly would that truly have been to them in the big picture? Surely not enough to never touch anything FB-related ever again -

I still have a hard time believing they would actually skip SoD entirely, no matter how poorly the previous two sets sold Correct me if I‘m wrong, but they‘ve never before ignored a new instalment of a franchise they still actively had the license for. And as others have pointed out, WB certainly has a say in this too. Wouldn‘t something like that be part of their contract? Even if it isn‘t, I can‘t imagine WB being happy with a major licensing partner refusing to promote their film I guess @THELEGOBATMAN is right and WB’s schedule shift was too short-notice for TLG to adapt theirs, meaning a 2HY release is still on the table Or they put out a couple of Brickheadz and call it a day -

From what I‘ve heard, Tina‘s part is minimal since Katherine Waterston allegedly caught Covid during shooting and Nagini doesn‘t appear at all because Claudia Kim was pregnant Hopefully they both show up in FB 4 again Haven‘t noticed that one, amazing detail -

Indeed, there‘s so much set potential here! And they can‘t deny us a Mikkelsen minifig for the third time in a row -

I can see them including minifigs in sets based on the upcoming film, should we get any, but the course building system is here to stay regardless A pure minifig-based concept wouldn't work outside of a small film tie-in wave since most of the characters just aren't humanoid enough, and introducing a new mould for every single character or enemy would massively exceed the budget of any theme. Sure, you could argue that the enemies could still be realised in brick-built form, but that'd be quite a challenge at a minifig-compatible scale -

Hot take incoming: After the last four years, I actually don't really care about further Hogwarts expansions; old style, new style, or otherwise Instead, I'd much rather they focus on other locations. Of course I realise it's a bit silly to ask for them to focus on stuff other than school locations in a franchise surrounding a magical school, but still -

Upon closer inspection, it seems that Moody has a nougat torso instead of the dark tan one the CMF version had, which is more accurate I think If it has a Barty Crouch Jr face without the tongue sticking out, this might end up surpassing its precursor. Impressive Not yet -

Edit: Whoops, wrong thread I can kinda understand them not featuring Boba‘s Throne Room in the catalogue (even though there‘s nothing particularly spoilerific included by the sound of it), but why omit the Darktrooper set? -

I like what I'm seeing here As expected, Pomfrey is the obvious highlight, but the other figs are great too. Pretty amazed that Moody looks this similar to his CMF counterpart, he even retained the differently-colored dual-moulded legs it seems Trelawney is still a downgrade to me, I'd vastly prefer a dress piece Is that a time-turner Hermione is holding (like a printed 1x1 round tile)? -

Depends on when TLG and other partners were informed. They surely didn‘t learn of this the same day we did, right?
