Well, this appears to solve our Klarion conundrum then Whatever this is, let’s hope we get a decent amount of new characters, it’s been a while -

Yeah, you're right. My memory must've deceived me, I remembered the hair being much shorter than it actually is. This wouldn't work at all A new piece would indeed be the best solution, and considering we got three brand-new pieces for Indy in 2008, a dual-moulded hair/hat combo piece shouldn't be too much to ask for. If we take a look at the moulds that were introduced for this theme back in the day, pretty much all of them still hold up and could also be featured in new sets, such as the whip, satchel, Hovito idol, crystal skull, Mola Ram's fancy hat, ant, Spalko's bob cut hairpiece, Mutt Williams' hairpiece, and Willie's hairpiece (from the Shanghai set). In fact, some of them don't even need to be brought back since they're still being used on a regular basis Speaking of new moulds: I think the new flat treasure chest lid introduced in the upcoming Harry Potter sets would make for a good basis for the Ark -

Funny that the Italian catalogue seems to be the only one thus far to advertise it I wonder why this is the only set scheduled for February -

Correct, there were zero rumours, which is why the announcement hit us like a ton of bricks Everyone was 100% convinced that “Leaf” had to be Monkie Kid. Has to be my second-favourite theme announcement ever, with the number one spot going to PotC, which was announced via sneaking a Jack Sparrow prototype minifig into a Prince of Persia display at a convention They should do that more often, way more exciting than a regular press release -

Luckily, they should know what to choose based on the sale figures of the 2008/9 sets and their demand on the aftermarket I think a balance between vehicles (Venice boats, truck chase, jungle cutter, planes) and booby-trapped locations (grail temple, Hovito temple, temple of doom, Ugah temple) would be a pretty safe bet Isn’t that the case for any licensed theme? -

Indeed. On top of that, all of the Guardians (minus Drax ) are still available in current sets and they might also show up in additional Infinity Saga sets -

I think it depends more on how previous Aquaman-related sets sold Box office and merchandise sales don’t necessarily correlate -

I wouldn’t mind them continuing with the cards, but I wouldn’t be sad if they were done with them either They were a nice way to celebrate the anniversary (along with the golden minifigs), but having more would make it feel less special and then they’d have to come up with a way to “officially” display the additional ones -

So, if there are 6 sets in total, the ideal distribution would be 2 sets based on RotlA and TlC each, and 1 set each for ToD and KotCS Sounds fair to me -

That would be a good trade-off But who would drive vehicles like the RotlA truck or the KotCS jungle cutter then? -

Indeed, it has MECHS, so of course TLG couldn't say no Seriously though, the set potential is high with all the creatures and vehicles seen in the first film, let alone what the sequels will introduce. -

Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
The only two things I'm a bit worried about are the films they're covering and how they will handle the villains. As for the former, I know KotCS is a sore subject among fans, but I hope one of the sets is still based on it Personally, I like the film a lot. Regarding the latter, they should be able to get away with including Nazi and Soviet soldiers by removing any emblems and symbols and naming them "enemy soldiers", just like they did in 2008/9. If not, some of the sets would be pretty weird without any henchmen for Indy to fight -
Lego Avatar 2022/3 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Mr No's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not that surprising considering the Fox buy-out, but it's still nice to hear we actually do get sets based on Avatar 2 I'm not a massive fan of the franchise, but if the sets look good I'm definitely interested. And some people on IG think it's about the Nick show Granted, that would be a nice theme too, but is reading really that hard? Or is James Cameron secretly funding the Netflix live-action adaptation? Imagine the confusion if he did -

YES! Exciting news indeed If the info about there being 6 sets is correct, that means they must've planned quite a big wave originally, considering that Indy 5 was initially supposed to come out this year. What this also shows us is that they must be quite confident in the theme Of course the delay is to blame here, but releasing sets without a film around the corner is pretty rare -

According to exabrickslegogo on IG, the mechs are now getting released in April Not that bad of a delay, could’ve been much worse -

If the remaining March sets do get revealed today, that’ll be about three weeks sooner than expected, but I’m not complaining What excites me the most is the interior of the hospital wing. Show us that promised bottle of Skele-gro! -

Not necessarily, sometimes we get lists with placeholder names that indicate which of the two themes it is, as was the case with the January sets -
Jurassic World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Doubtful. Why would they A) release some CC sets as part of a JWD wave while others as their own wave and B) delay the former but not the latter? Thus, I think the entire wave consists of JWD sets -

I’d expect the sets to be revealed at NYTF. That’s what happened with the FK sets -

Given how stylized minifigs are, I think one of the comic-inspired versions we've had so far could pretty easily pass as him, no? Hardy's version on the other hand would definitely require a new minifig (or bigfig even) -

Congrats, must be very exciting to see your idea manifest into a set, especially now that it's about to hit shelves I've never played a Sonic game in my life (unless Smash Bros counts?), but I'm still looking forward to the set very much -
